The Knife of Never Letting Go is my absolute favorite series of all time! Thanks for the recommendation- I probably never would have heard of it otherwise
"A plethora of characters..." I have been thinking about the word plethora literally this WHOLE week, and when you said it.. Aww I knew our minds connect. I've missed your videos Regan, keep em coming
Lol Regan I saw this video with a friend and when you started to talk about The Final Empire I was like "I have that I just need to read it " and then you started talking about how you know some of us have bought it but haven't read it yet and she started laughing ....lol and then everyone was staring at her :p
Love your video! I also haven't read many werewolf books! I feel like they're popular but aren't really written about in the grand scheme of things. Great choice!
I have to thank you really, because your videos i tried brandon Sandersons book Mistborn and im in love so thank you so much for recomanding it!! ive bought the box set and i cant wait to read all of them
Some werewolf books are unleashed by Nancy holder and Debbie vigue and another is raised by wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, full moon rising by keri Arthur, nightshade by Andrea cremer, moon called by patrica Briggs:)
I'm reading The Exiled Queen at the moment, loving it so far! Han's awesome, but I love Raisa too. I'm hoping for some more Amon-on-Raisa-action though :)
Good werewolf books - both are series, but I have only read the first of the series so far. The Wolf Gift by Anne Rice and The Silver Wolf by Alice Borchardt
A great werewolf book that I recommend is Bitten by Kelly Armstrong. I think there are three or four books in the Women of the Other World series that feature Elena the werewolf as primary characters but the whole series is amazing!
At first when you brought out the final empire i thought you were going to say the Koloss for zombie! Anyways, half way through the Hero of ages and absolutely loving it (but i don't want it to end!!) Great video!
Quick question in your opinion should I read the Infernal Devices before the Mortal Instruments I've asked other people and they were like just see the movie.... -_- ugh. Thanks :)
Have you read The Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce? It's about two sisters who fight werewolves together. I haven't reread it in a while, but I remember really loving the sisters' relationship.
Friendly reminder that Harry Potter has werewolves. This video made me so happy because you mentioned like three of my favourite books. Very clever with the Mistbrn zombies, I never would have thought of that! I think I'm gonne be reading The Well of Ascension soon but I'M NOT READY. Steelheart would have been my pick as well. SO SO GOOD. Also. THERE ARE GONNA BE NEW BOOKS IN THE SEVEN REALMS SERIES? HOW? New characters? And LASTLY. I cannot end this comment without mentioning your lipstick. GURL YOU LOOKIN SLAAYYY. That colour looks amazing on you.
I read the Mistborn series because of you and did NOT regret it. Definitely my favorite books of all time. Love them love them love them. Actually I finished them like two months ago, and I haven't been able to pick anything else since. That makes me feel terrible.....
I feel like I should mention "The Last Werewolf" by Glen Duncan. It is an adult "horror" book so it does have some explicit stuff in there, but I was really pleasantly surprised when I finished it. Some good plot in there, which was unexpected.
A good werewolf book (though I guess technically it's a were-dog book) is Sharp Teeth by Toby Barlow. It's written like beat-poetry so it may take you a minute to get into it but it's REALLY good once you get past the unorthodox writing style.
If you're looking for a good werewolf read, I would recommend Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause! It's about a werewolf girl who falls in love with a human boy and has to choose between being loyal to her pack or being with a human.
YES. Daughter of Smoke and Bone is fantastic!! If you haven't already, listen to the audiobook. The voices are really well done and it eliminates the corny in some of the over-dramatic lines, I think. You talk to your phone as if it's a cat trying to eat the curtains.
I love Daughter of Smoke and Bone, but have yet to read the next two books... I do hope I get them for my birthday though, in March....... I can´t buy them myself because I want the US covers, and I buy so many books at my local bookstore, that I don´t have enough money for shipment... this sucks, I´ll have to wait for 5 months or something.. yeah..
I really recommend the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. The main character is a skin-walker, but there are many werewolves and vampires in the books. And the heroine is very complex, she's kind and smart and brave, but has some flaws as well. :)
I'm a little late watching this but GREAT werewolf series: The Wolf Gift and The Wolves of Midwinter by Anne Rice! I'm normally not into werewolves and The Wolf Gift sucked me in!
Werewolf books: Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock, Shiver by Maggie Steifvater, Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, The Dark Divine by Bree Despain, Nightshade by Andrea Cremer are all good books that feature werewolves prominently. I also like the Darkest Powers by Kelley Armstrong, which features a werewolf as a side character.
I really enjoyed Kelley Armstrong's 'Bitten' as well. Unlike with The Darkest Powers, werewolves are the sole (paranormal) focus, and the way she build the world is fascinating. It's also got a lot more mature stuff in it, but I guess that just doesn't bother me that much.... *shrug* It was her debut novel, too, which is cool. I've never read Shiver, but it shot up SEVERAL places on my Must-Read List after reading Steifvater's Raven Boys series, because WHOA. Girl. Is. Talented.
I tried watching the TV show of Bitten... ugh. It was bad. Maybe I'll try the books, though. Idk, I'm not really into 'mature' content in books. The thing about Maggie Steifvater is that EVERYONE HATES SHIVER, but I love it. And then EVERYONE LOVES THE RAVEN BOYS, but I don't really care for it.
The thing about The Raven Boys (I think) is that there's just SO MUCH happening, that it takes a lot of patience to get into. I only really started understanding the story about 70% through the books. I enjoyed it more after that point, which is why I think I'm enjoying 'Dream Thieves' more than the first one.
You got me, I bought "The Final Empire" a few weeks ago and I can't wait to read it. But I don't think that it was a smart decision, I can't buy the other books because I'm staying abroad. Damn it.
Have you read The Vampire Empire series? It's a trilogy - really good. I have all 3 but I've only read the first two so far but it's good. I gotta read that third one.....
The Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs will remedy your lack of vampires and werewolves reading. Or if you're just looking for werewolves try the Alpha and Omega series again by Patricia Briggs. They are both really great series. Read them. Do it. They are good. :)
Everytime I watch one of your videos... I add at least 3 or 4 books on my To buy list ! My bank account doesn't really like yout videos :p And that's a really nice lipstick color !
I personally didn't read Angelfall until now, but from what you said, if you do like this book, you might enjoy the TV show Dominion. It has kinda the same, a similar plot. ^^ Btw. I love your channel!
If you want to read an interesting adult fiction novel with werewolves, I recommend Red Moon by Benjamin Percy. It's far from perfect, I personally wasn't satisfied with the ending and found the book a bit boring sometimes, but it's really original in showing how werewolves living among us would effect the society.
I concur with other comments on checking out Blood and Chocolate if you want a good werewolf read. It's a bit gritty for a ya supernatural, and it has a different feel since I believe it takes place in the 90s. Another great vampire book is Let The Right One In.
The Tale of Lunamorte by Samantha Young is my all time favorite werewolf book. You should defs check it out! Also, I finished The Final Empire, per your recommendation, and it was really good! I haven't started the second one yet, but I am super excited to do so.
You should try the Raised By Wolves trilogy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, it's really good and all about werewolves. I haven't really heard many people talk about the trilogy.
Reagan, I would recommend The Hunt by Andrew Fukada, it's a mix between Vampires and the Hunger Games! The male protagonist has to pretend to be a vampire, even though he's a living Human! Then he gets drafted into a Hunger Games-esque situation and he has to hunt the last remaining humans!
Wolves of Mercy Falls Quartet by Maggie Stiefvater! :3 for werewolf, the next time you want to do this tag? *shrug* If you haven't read it of course. Happy Reading!
I love werewolves and shifters but like you I haven't read a lot of werewolves :/ I don't get it! I guess I just see them more on television and in films. I do however, love a series called The Shifter Series by Rachel Vincent, it's about werecats, which is pretty cool!
"i'm a rebel look at my dark lipstick"
i laughed. loved this video! i always learn about new books from your videos!
The Knife of Never Letting Go is my absolute favorite series of all time! Thanks for the recommendation- I probably never would have heard of it otherwise
"A plethora of characters..."
I have been thinking about the word plethora literally this WHOLE week, and when you said it.. Aww I knew our minds connect.
I've missed your videos Regan, keep em coming
You should do a video of your favorite magic/wizard books . . . I always want more! Give me more!!!
Lol Regan I saw this video with a friend and when you started to talk about The Final Empire I was like "I have that I just need to read it " and then you started talking about how you know some of us have bought it but haven't read it yet and she started laughing ....lol and then everyone was staring at her :p
This is a great tag and another thing that is great is your necklace. Loveeeee it.
The day you do a full detailed bookshelf tour is the day my heart becomes whole.
How you described the monsters and stuff in The Final Empire have made it one of my top 5 books I want to buy! I love you and your vids. Stay awesome~
Immortal Rules, Mistoborn, Seven Realms, and Steelheart all in one video, omigods! So many amazing underrated books.
Love your video! I also haven't read many werewolf books! I feel like they're popular but aren't really written about in the grand scheme of things. Great choice!
I love that you picked paranormal elements from scifi and fantasy rather than just paranormal books!! Great picks really need to pick them up!
I have to thank you really, because your videos i tried brandon Sandersons book Mistborn and im in love so thank you so much for recomanding it!! ive bought the box set and i cant wait to read all of them
Some werewolf books are unleashed by Nancy holder and Debbie vigue and another is raised by wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, full moon rising by keri Arthur, nightshade by Andrea cremer, moon called by patrica Briggs:)
i actually really wanted to do this so thanks for tag guuurl. ALSO YES I AM SO READY FOR FIREFIGHT
YAYAY
The parasol protectorate have lots of werewolves in it! ^^ I really enjoyed it, it's pretty fun! :D
I love the way you said "creatures of the night book tag" lol
A great werewolf book that I recommend is Bitten by Kelly Armstrong. I think there are three or four books in the Women of the Other World series that feature Elena the werewolf as primary characters but the whole series is amazing!
At first when you brought out the final empire i thought you were going to say the Koloss for zombie! Anyways, half way through the Hero of ages and absolutely loving it (but i don't want it to end!!) Great video!
Quick question in your opinion should I read the Infernal Devices before the Mortal Instruments I've asked other people and they were like just see the movie.... -_- ugh. Thanks :)
you make everything sound just so damn readable! *adds everything to her list*
I recommend Sisters Red, Raised by Wolves and Blood and Chocolate
Have you read The Sisters Red by Jackson Pearce? It's about two sisters who fight werewolves together. I haven't reread it in a while, but I remember really loving the sisters' relationship.

WRITTEN IN RED HAS WEREWOLVES AND IT'S AMAZING
So excited for Firefight!!!!!! :D
I feel like I should mention "The Last Werewolf" by Glen Duncan. It is an adult "horror" book so it does have some explicit stuff in there, but I was really pleasantly surprised when I finished it. Some good plot in there, which was unexpected.
Actually, your outfit and makeup is on point(: plus your book taste is amazing sooooo!
A good werewolf book (though I guess technically it's a were-dog book) is Sharp Teeth by Toby Barlow. It's written like beat-poetry so it may take you a minute to get into it but it's REALLY good once you get past the unorthodox writing style.
'Fantasy classifications are so confusing.' Regan 2014
That little detail made me pretty interested in The Final Empire!
If you want werewolfs and vampyres with a funny twist - read Gail Carriger's The Parasol Protectorate. I love those books
You are seriously my favorite booktuber; I will read any book you tell me to haha
Dracula by Bram Stoker is my favorite book ever. I recommend it for vampire reading.
I KNEW YOU'D PICK THE KNIFE OF NEVER LETTING GO! YESS!
If you're looking for a good werewolf read, I would recommend Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause! It's about a werewolf girl who falls in love with a human boy and has to choose between being loyal to her pack or being with a human.
The Mercedes Thompson series by Patricia Briggs has the best werewolf lore EVER!
YES. Daughter of Smoke and Bone is fantastic!! If you haven't already, listen to the audiobook. The voices are really well done and it eliminates the corny in some of the over-dramatic lines, I think.
You talk to your phone as if it's a cat trying to eat the curtains.
I've read the three books in the mistborn series this year because of you. I COULDN'T STOP AFTER READING ONE.
The shadow falls series by c.c. Hunter! They are really fun quick books that cover a wide range of paranormal creatures !
I love Daughter of Smoke and Bone, but have yet to read the next two books... I do hope I get them for my birthday though, in March....... I can´t buy them myself because I want the US covers, and I buy so many books at my local bookstore, that I don´t have enough money for shipment... this sucks, I´ll have to wait for 5 months or something.. yeah..
The Nightshade series by Andrea Cremer is one of the best werewolf series that doesn't get enough hype.
I really recommend the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs. The main character is a skin-walker, but there are many werewolves and vampires in the books. And the heroine is very complex, she's kind and smart and brave, but has some flaws as well. :)
The Shiver trilogy by maggie stiefvater is sooooo good!!
The angelfall trilogy is such an underrated series!! Can't wait for the sequel to Steelheart, already pre-ordered the audiobook!

Also the Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton has a lot of werewolves (as well as pretty much every other supernatural creatures ;)
I'm a little late watching this but GREAT werewolf series: The Wolf Gift and The Wolves of Midwinter by Anne Rice! I'm normally not into werewolves and The Wolf Gift sucked me in!

Written in Red for both WEREWOLVES and VAMPIRES. It's amazing.
You may enjoy Patricia Braggs Moon Callers series

Ahhh Regan. Classic Regan.
Written In Red is a great werewolf/vampires/shapeshifter book :D
Where on earth did you get that necklace?
Werewolf book -> Nightshade by an author I forget the name of. It's a trilogy and amazing!
