Another quality video. Thank you for this. I’ve had my R10 for a couple months now and have basically just been playing on the Simulator. This is a great way to help me improve
How well do you actually play golf? I'm constantly amazed how straight you hit it, and how consistently you strike the ball. Do a course vlog one day...
Thanks for another great video, but what about us golf newbies. I find myself just hitting the range to get numbers, then just sit in the approach shots section trying to hit greens. No structure to my sessions.
I’d suggest on your next round of golf find out the areas that cost you the most shots. For example if you’re struggling with hitting greens in regulation (which I do also) then it puts a lot of pressure on your short game. So therefore I’d suggest starting on the range and teaching yourself to hit a straight shot with a repeatable swing. Do that with each club consistently then go into the approach section, do the same to the various greens and then take it on course and see how you go
Nice one David 😎….I best look up Senior tour Trackman numbers …! Struggle to keep up with the young ones ! Keep the great content coming do love Awesome golf ⛳️🍻🍻

Hey David! I feel like this video maybe a targeted at an individual with a lower handicap (someone who has a developed swing, is consistent and seeking to get to that scratch level). Would you have any tips for a mid handicapper? I feel like all I do is jump on the range, hit a club until I hit a couple straight and then move on. None the less great video and I love your content!
you need to figure out what you want to work on and where you lack. always have a plan for something to work on when going to the range. go get an in-person lesson if you don't know what to work on
Hey mate, I would suggest find the areas of your game that are troubling you during a round and then use the Garmin R10 to practise on those. For example if it’s the mid irons you’re struggling to hit into greens then go onto the range in the practise areas of the r10 and hit hundreds of balls there until you’re feeling confident then take that practise in course and see how you go there 😊
Another great video!!! My question is: can you save your driving range session stats for future reference on aawsome golf like you can do on the garmin driving range?
David do you ever do any skills training with the R10? I’m thinking of buying one and that’s what I would use it for. Especially the wedge game. I’m wondering how well the R10 works with shorter wedge shots
Hi David great videos thank you. Let me to ask how are you set up Garmin R10 app that it shows you all the data on one screen and in such a nice dark mode. Thank you
Hey there, I can only ise the almost balls at my place. What figures should be accurate? I know, distance and spin are not that accurate, what about the rest? I just recived a Matt, should i higher the r10 aswell? Its about 1 cm difference. Thanks!
Lately I feel my distances have been short with home tee hero, everything is measured hitting into an impact screen. Calibrate each use, approach is on a level stand. 🤷🏼♂️
@@davidmaxfieldgolf that's interesting. What is the cutoff between a fast swing speed and a slow swing speed? Do you base it off driver swing speed or does it vary from club to club?
From my tests it was accurate with quad or at least within a reasonable perimeter but like you said it’s not measured and really a photo unit like quad will always be more accurate for attack angle and strike location as it’s looking directly at the clubface 😊
Hey David, I need your help, I have just bought a R10 and I’m having a lot of trouble with the launch angles being way too low and also really short distances with the long irons and woods. I looked up and tried I believe every troubleshoot. Did you or anyone else ever have this issue when you first go yours? This makes me want to return it. Thank you for your time.
@@davidmaxfieldgolf Thank you for your reply. And Yup I did that the day after I bought it a week ago. So yesterday I was trying a lot more random positions, so I put a 2” block underneath the R10 and starting getting better results. Is that super odd for it starting to work better now because of that?
@@davidmaxfieldgolf I do screenshot. But as a nerd, I would like to be able to get this data in a spreadsheet and compare from practice session to practice session.
Hi David, great video except I have GSPro and was trying to do a practice session on that. GSPro does not seem to have Angle of attack, but it does seem to record the AoA on the garmin app on the phone while using GSPro on the PC. Anything else I should look for while practicing with GSPro. I really want to improve my golf game over the New England fall and winter. thanks
Hey mate, I personally have never used GSPro as I run a mac environment and it’s not available so I’d suggest trying the 14 day free trials with Awesome Golf
I was going to purchase one but have been reading several reports it is very, very inaccurate hitting into nets? I have a netted cage in my backyard and don't want to take a punt if it is that inaccurate.
@@davidmaxfieldgolf I have and thank you for your time and efforts with them. I was actually referring to some comments made by purchasers who have approached Garmin with their concerns about accuracy into nets. They state they have been provided advice by Garmin and none of their suggestions work. Several have stated they have returned their R10 for a full refund. A bit concerning.
@@damianoehme5391 I’ve heard that too. On the other hand though I’ve personally trouble shooted a lot with people having issues on the setup and have been able to help them fix it. So if you get stuck feel free to reach out to me on instagram and I’m more than happy to help
Hi David, great videos, I’m having issues with my R10 no matter how I set it up all my shots are coming out left. I’m testing at a driving range and my shots start left but fade back but on R10 it’s just a straight pull. Any setup tips would be great
Maybe further distance to the net from the ball if you’re hitting into one. If you’re only using it on the range and it’s starting left the radar may be losing the line of sight with the ball if your body is getting between the radar and ball flight path 😊
