4 years later, your video is still helping people out. I just canceled my professional 600 order to order a artisan mini. I would LOATHE that noise. Thanks, dude!
Before I say anything else, let me just say - WOW. Finally, someone has clearly, and accurately, explained the differences between these models of KA machines. No guessing, no anecdotal nonsense, no 'touchy-feely' self-rationalization as to purchase justification, etc., etc. Just good solid facts. I only wish those many folks [who legitimately] have model-difference questions would come here - and pay attention - I think all will be answered. As for myself, after originally owning a 5-quart bowl-lift mixer, the same vintage as yours, and used it for about 18 years with no issues, moved-on to a 6-quart "Professional 6" mixer for added capacity. But 16 months later I decided to upgrade once again to the 7-quart Proline mixer, not only for the additional capacity, but to avoid the many issues [some folks seem to experience] with the Pro 6/Professional 6 mixers. So, my history is similar to yours, but instead of 'collecting them' (I'm not certain how I avoided that one...) I passed-on my first two mixers to some deserving, loving homes. The decision to ultimately go with the 7-quart mixer not only involved presumed greater reliability, and the added capacity, BUT the ability to use ALL stainless steel attachments: Flat Beater; Dough Hook; and Elliptical Wire Whip (provided as standard) - which are available for the 7-quart mixer - and all three come standard on the 8-quart capacity models. I'd like to again emphasize, in one place, some important points you covered in your talk... As you surmised - the 6-quart; 7-quart; & 8-quart bowl-lift stand mixers ALL have the same profile, case size (w/*minor* design variations to accommodate specific features), bowl support; bowl support movement; distance from bowl support to bottom of the beater shaft in both upper & lower positions. In other words - as long as a specific bowl size was properly-paired with its designed attachment(s), any of the bowl/attachment-pairs will work on ANY of these machines. (Understanding, of course, using an 8-quart bowl/attachment on a Pro/Professional 600, fer instance, and loading the bowl to capacity will not magically have the performance of the 1.3 HP motor of either the 7 or 8 quart models, and will make quick work of damaging the undersized 6-quart motor/transmission if the mixer is straining). The diameter of the bowls for these three models are identical - the only difference being the height - to accommodate their respective rated capacities. Put another way - if one presently owns a 6-quart capacity bowl lift mixer, and has few, if any, issues with, say, beating a single or two egg whites - the performance with be identical using either the 7 or 8-quart mixer. Some other food for thought when considering a model with a glass bowl. Sure, they look cool, and have fairly legible gradations boldly embossed into the glass, but even empty, these bowls weigh over 6#. Compare that to around 3# for a stainless steel bowl. That unwanted additional weight can become rather burdensome when least expected. So unless you plan on shooting videos and producing your own cooking show where a glass bowl offers a nice 'touch' - think twice. Also, the glass bowls designed for bowl-lift mixers incorporate a stainless steel support band encircling the bowl, containing the attachment points that mate with the locating pins of the bowl support. That band prevents these glass bowls from being placed in a microwave oven - perhaps the only real advantage of a glass bowl. Another drawback - these glass bowls require F-series beaters and whisks and that series has a bit more limited support in terms of options. KA does make an all-stainless steel wire whip for their 6-quart, S/S bowl-lift mixers, which also has additional tines for quicker whipping times. Again, Zachary, thanks for this most-informative tour of these bowl-lift KA mixers.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave your comment. I enjoyed making this video, and I plan on making more to compare the tilt-head models and other obscure models and attachments.
One tip I always tell a young new bride, "Don't get Black colour, you will be continuously dusting flour and dust off. I was in a store one day and they were putting these stand mixers on sale for fabulous price. I had never heard of a Morphy Richards mixer. I hesitated and read everything I could find. Out of Scotland. It looked something like the cuisinart does today. I bought it and have never looked back. At that is 14-15 yrs ago. Very good quality. The front circle comes off but it doesn't hold KA appliances. This mixer also has a blender attachment with glass jug. So many people say, I never heard of Morphy Richards. I know they carry other appliances fusion however not sold in Canada.
I retired from Hobart Corp about 14 years ago and have worked on a ton of the K45 and K5 mixers. When Hobart first switched the Kitchenaid mixer motors to a solidstate controls the motor noise doubled. Older mixers before the K5SS models were very quiet mixers. I even qot to work on an old K3 mixer that the body was all chromed and it was a beautiful. Good video.
Very interesting. Do you have any idea why the new KA mixers have a clicking sound? KA even addresses it on their website and it seems they think it's OK. But the older machines don't click like that. I have the Imperial Grey Proline mixer on the left of the video, with no unusual noise. Does the clicking for the newer models have anything to do with KA having removed the spring & washer from the attachment shaft? Thank you.
can you shed any light on what was before solid state and if its possible to convert the modern ones to that set up? would it be a huge piece of work? assume solid state was a cost inspired decision , esp if it increased the noise. I have a 5KPM5 I picked up second hand and Im planning on refurbing soon. thanks!
Sashine B. Before 2016 all tiltheads have springs and washers attached and bowl lift models normally dont have springs and washers. And then 2016 came and kitchenaid no longer put springs and washer and all their stand mixer because they find those irrelevant and the clicking noise does not bug the motor at least thats what ive heard from them, but a lot of customers are upset when they heard that clicking noise and ending up returning it.
Sashine B. Springs and washer play a vital role on that clicking noise. Amy tackled about that on one of her video entitled kitchenaid unboxing failed at amylearnstocook youtube channel
Thank you Zack. This was just what I need to know. Your comments about the loudness of the Pro 600 let me know that I need to get the 7 quart model. The loudness and the capacity to double my bread recipe are the two most important factors for me.
Awesome comparison and explanation of the 3 KitchenAid bowl lift stand mixers. The KitchenAid KSM7586PSR 7-Quart Pro Line Stand Mixer is actually America's Test Kitchen winner when they tested multiple stand mixers ranging in price from a couple hundred dollars to over a thousand dollars. Your description of each mixer's motor, gears, bowl, speed, torque, etc. really helps to understand the price differences.
Good video. I have the KMS5. I have used it for 25 years never had a problem. The only thing I didn't like about it was bowl was too small. I used to make 4 & 5 loaves of bread at a time when the family was home. Now it's perfect for the two of us. Mixer still going strong. Thanks for sharing your info.
I finally bought a model 7 after years of putting up with Sunbeam and China machines. I had lusted after a Kitchenaid for years. Thanx for a lucid, detailed evenhanded review.
Thank you for "validating" the fact that I was completely surprised and put off by the incredible noise of the Pro 600 - purchased it from Costco. It was delivered today and it's going right back. Whoever product tested these did not do so in a normal residential kitchen. Wow. Kudos to you for making such an informative video. thank you very much.

Hello, just wanted to say THANK YOU for this video... I was given a Kitchenaid mixer from a friend yesterday which is the K5 in the same color and is very lightly used. After watching your video I feel as if I learned a ton of valuable information and feel very fortunate to have the mixer that we where given. Thank you for your time and expertise.
Hi Zack, thank you so much for this video. I have been researching for the past few days I own an artisan 5 quart that just doesn’t cut it. I was going to purchase the 6 quart professional series at Costco it is $249 right now in comparison to roughly $500 for the 7 quart pro line but it looks like I will be getting what I paid for with the pro line you really helped me. This video was very informative.keep up the good work thanks again, Maria
I’m feeling good about buying my Kitchenaid mixer after watching this video. It allows for up to 10 cups of whole wheat flour in bread making and that makes 4 loaves at one time. It handles it with grace and dignity. I also love the fact that it quietly hums when it works. This is my third Kitchenaid mixer and I think I’ve finally got what I need. Thanks for the interesting video from the perspective of someone who knows the guts of these machines!
That second one sounds like a UFO. I have a kitchen aid mixer that my husband bought for me Christmas of 1999. I'm still using it in 2023. I worked in bakeries for 16 years decorating cakes and they all had Hobart stand mixers. They are incredible too. Thank you for your insight regarding these machines.
Thank you so much , I've had a kitchen aid KSM90, 300 watt for almost 30 years but I learned more from this video than I ever knew...you have a big future in videos, 'can't believe this is your first one!
Thank you for sharing your insight and knowledge!! This is one of the best comparison video's I've seen in a long time. I am so glad I returned that 6qt model and got the 7qt instead. Thanks again. Well done!!
Have an Artisan 4.5qt. Just upgraded to the KSM 55 on a Christmas sale. Thanks for the info. Didn’t anticipate hearing about mixer history, but I just kept watching. 😊
Thank you for this review, I will be upgrading my tool from handheld mixer to stand mixer. Previously, I decided to go for 4.8 Artisan but from this video, I will be going to pick 7 qt. 1.3 HP.
Thanks very much for a comprehensive presentation of these three Kitchenaid stand mixers including the information of their internal workings. I really like the quiet sound of that sliver 7 qt mixer, I could use that bowl as a bomb shelter. I bought my old white Kitchen aid Heavy Duty 5 qt used last year at a pretty good price. It makes the same noise as the gray one you introduced first so I'm glad I bought it. It's always good to hear someone knowledgable share information that we would otherwise never know. Best wishes from Ohio.
My KitchenAid 5K5SS already 20 years and still working great. Honestly I've never thought it would last this long, but it did. Happy that you clearly described my machine younger siblings. I hope newer machine can last as long too. Glad I bought this machine then. Awesome video🥰
Dove into the search on model Comparison because my wife wants one and as a mechanic by trade this was the most in depth comparison I’ve seen on them and EXACTLY the kind of stuff I wanted to know. Not just the attachments, sizes and capacities. THANK YOU.
I got a KitchenAid 5QT mixer at a yard sale and I was looking up info on it when I came across your video. You are very knowledgeable on these machines and thank you for sharing that knowledge.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge of KA mixers. I just got a KA mini unaware of the different noise levels between models. Knowing that the mini is quieter is a bonus. I'm single, retired, and don't make bread, so I knew the mini would be perfect for me.
I just picked up a KSM5 mixer at an auction and I'm in the process of cleaning it up. I can't wait to use this one as it's the first I've had of this line versus my other tilt head KitchenAid mixers. Thanks for the informative video!
The best comparison vid! Thank you so much for this! Although I long for the 7qt I just think it’s too much for my baking hobby.. I opted for the 6 and I am loving it. Hoping it lasts longer than my PRO 5 that died
You should have purchased an older made by hobart mixer, it would have given you decades of service. Made in China parts are not the same as made by hobart in America. I hope you still get years of service from your new mixer. Happy cooking and baking.
Very good information; thanks for teaching us. It’s sad that when a company has built a great, quality brand over the years and then sells it - the new company changes it. Why would you do that when you have a sure thing. Maytag sold to Whirlpool and quality went right down.
Yes, and I remember the complaints started happening in the early 1990s. The noise of the machines was louder and I was reading complaints about gears breaking, oil dripping, metal shards coming down, etc. Even the newer 8 quart Commercial mixer has bad reviews on Amazon. It's always worth checking the one and two star ratings just to see what people are experiencing.
Exactly! why would you change something that is already perfect? Those mixers were built to last for generations, not convenient for the company, sad but true
Thank you, Zack! Just the info I needed to help make a purchase decision. Your comment about relative wattage was enlightening, also. Who would have thunk 325 watts might do a better kneading job than 575! I also believe the noise issue with the 600 is a killer - I've seen quite a few comments about this problem and you amply demonstrated it. As for the accessories, what were these marketing dolts thinking when substituting burnished metal that needs to be hand washed for what used to be stainless steel. Just incredibly stupid decisions. But in any event congratulations on your first video, it sets a high standard for what product reviews should look like.
Wow, what a wealth if information. Thank you so much, Zach. I actually had a K5, purchased in the ‘70’s and I gave it away because it leaked a bit of oil😩 Now I want it back!!
@@ZacharyCrowe hey - really great video! Do you refurbish and sell to online customers, or just for personal use? I would be interested in any refurb DC models that you had.
YOU JUST COST ME $150! I ordered the ProLine 7 today instead of the Pro 600, based on your video. Thanks. UPDATE: My Pro Line 7 qt mixer arrived yesterday, and I've had a little time to "play" with it. WOW! That $150 was well spent. You kept me from making a mistake Thanks again for the good advice.
I just ordered the Pro Line 7 myself and am returning the 600 to Costco. Was a great deal but after researching the hearing the noise level of the 600 (and learning about the guts) I definitely am going to the Pro Line.
Just the video I was looking for! Thanks Zach! I really was trying to see the inner workings and what would hold up the best & this explained it so well. Knowing the inner workings on the machine & that one could possibly work on it themselves is incredible knowledge! Thanks again!
I have a KSM circa 1976. Still going strong. I was considering an upgrade to the Pro600, but after watching this, I think I’ll stick with the tried and true.
Thank you Zack. I wish I had seen a video like this video before I purchased. I bought the pro 600 about 10 years ago. I haven’t had any trouble but I don’t use it daily. If I were to buy today I would purchase a different model.
Zac, thank you for putting this video out. I am researching the stand mixers because it really is difficult to decide which model is best. The places they are sold don't offer much information.
Not flashy, not in-yo-face, not super cut, not multi-takes, and not sponsored by anyone. Just simply informative with honest opinions and personal viewpoints - I am glad I clicked on this and sat all the way through. Based on this review, I canceled my Pro 600 order and went with a Pro Line 7. Running all the machines for noise comparison was great. Thanks Zach!
Great video. Just ordered the Pro 500 then saw the 600 was $30 cheaper at Costco and was agonizing over whether to get that, thinking more power the better, but I see now I'm better off just sticking with the 500. Thanks.
Very nicely done. It was interesting to learn of the differences between the machines. I am the (original) owner of a 34 year old K45 with 250 watts. I make bread, cakes, cookies, everything in between and it's never missed a beat. I do have that grease discoloration around the front, was interesting to learn about that. I bought the tilt head glass bowl when they brought them back and really like it. I think it's a bit wider at the top and easier to work with adding ingredients.
I certainly appreciate this professionally made video!! Great job!! I bought a Cobalt Blue Tilt Head Stand Mixer off my sister years ago and it is amazing!!! I am so reluctant to buy a new one to enable me to do much larger batch mixing capacity. I have NEVER had an issue with my mixer and don't want to part with it. So, this has been extremely helpful if I go in the direction of buying a new one. You would appreciate mine as it is a beast. Thanks again Zach!
Thank you for this video, I was not sure on what model to buy for my dougthers birthday. Now I know exactly what I need to buy, I am going with the KS5SS because I now I know I can buy and replace any part myself Great job.👍You have a new suscriber.
Thanks for this video. Really gave me a sense of which model(s) I might want without any heavy selling. Now looking for a DC motor model, preferably refurbished for lower price.
What a great video you really cleared up a lot of things for me on what I should do with my NOISY Pro 600. The noise is in the motor and not the gearing. You covered all mixers well and my wife has a KM5 that is at least 40 years old and the only thing that was done was added brushes. SO, I was geared {bad pun} to fix the gears on my mixer and now I will be looking to buy one of the old KM5 or 70qt. Thanks for the greatest and informative videos..
wow I just learned alot from you, thanks. My husband is on his way home with a Professional Series 6 from Costco and I'm scared to turn it on, lol. I now want a DC motor all because of your brilliant explanations. I wish you would have addressed the stainless attatchment accessories available for specific models.
I have just watched your (2018) video presentation of the 3 models, and I have to say that you have done an excellent job of the comparison, it was the best of several related videos that I watched. As I'm in Australia, I've obviously had to do some weight/power conversions, but overall it was an extremely informative presentation without being too technical. Keep up the excellent work, well done.!! Cheers - Russell
I have a Professional 6 which I rescued and put into working condition from a Goodwill store. It is playing up now and I looked high and low on the net to get advise on how to change the motor brushes. I was frustrated with the paucity of information and then came across your video. Thanks for reviving my confidence in the net as a soUrce of useful information. Although you do not directly address my problem I see there is still hope that I will find a guide in "how to" for the brushes. Alex
Good job on the video! We bake a lot of bread, whole wheat and white. We used to have a bowl lift that had the Hobart name on it. Great machine wore out. We purchased a Pro 6 qt that only lasted a year with gear replacements. We purchased another 6 qt pro. Replaced gears in it after about a year and a half. I discovered the lube they use was liquefying and left the bearing/bushing dry at the top of the transmission cover , then the shaft would become loose, go side ways and destroy the gears (Worm drive system) Worm wheel gear wore fast as well. It seemed to me their was a lot of 90 degree transfers of drive power. The second time I rebuilt the trans mission. I up sized the screws holding down the transmission cover, eliminated the accessory gear, Used black synthetic grease (to eliminate liquefying) and added side vent holes for cooling intake. Motor would over heat and thermal switch would stop motor. Great machine for the next 3 years. About 5 years ago we purchased a 7 qt. It has a planetary drive transmission instead of a worm drive transmission. The 7 qt seems to be bullet proof. It will do a double loaf batch of bread twice with no effort. Whole wheat or white. The only problems we have had is the bracket on the the bowl breaking at the weld and the coating on the paddle mixer and dough hook finish blistering and then chipping. Kitchen Aid took care of it with no problem. It would be nice if the paddle mixer and dough hook were Stainless Steel. Will the commercial paddle and dough hook fit the Pro 7 qt? 7 qt much quieter then the 6 qt pro.
I am passing my Pro500 down to my son who currently has an Artisan model and my 7qt Proline in Candy Apple red is on backorder at Williams Sonoma. The 5qt still works great but I had to make 55 dozen cookies for my grand daughter’s gymnastics event. Thanks for the video. It was very helpful
Thanks for the video, you have supplied us with great info. (I know now to avoid the Pro 600). I think it would be great if you did a maintenance video. I have had my KSM5PPWH (branded as Kitchen Aid "Heavy Duty") for close to 20 years, that I got from a cafeteria when it closed. Im sure that the grease is long over do to be changed.
Thanks fir the video, I have a kitchenaid that needs to be repaired and you said you repair. I called Kitchenaid to see about fixing it, but she said it would be cheaper to just purchase another one. If you could contact me through my email with a number so we can talk about you giving it for me. It about 9 years old and it a 6qt pro bowl lift. Thank you
Very detailed, Zach. I'm an amateur collector who will probably go buy another Kitchenaid mixer that needs help this weekend now that I know more about it!
Thank you Zach, for this importent info. I'm on the brink of replacing my 5ksm150 standing mixer and your info is right on time! In the Netherlands, it is rather difficult to find a shop, that sells anything else than the 5-series, but i'm going to move heaven and earth, to find a 500 pro ore the right mixer from the 7qt serie. Again; thanks for the info! And furthermore, i keep you site in my adressbook for help when there are problems!😉 Keep up the good works!👍😘
This is very informative, thanks! I bought a KA Pro600 4 years ago and it sure got noisy the longer I use it. I thought I ruined it 😭 but somehow it still works fine. I wanted to buy the DC motored version then but it was already way out of my budget. 😊
Zac, Very nice vid. As a DIY person I have fixed a quite a few machines and currently am looking for a 7-8 qrt size mixer for bread dough. You provided some quality comments. Cheers and thanks.
Thanks for the comparison. I'm about to receive a 600 series 590 watt KitchenAid and will compare the noise/performance to my 20 year-old Artisan mixer. The DC model is much like the one my mom has, which is at least 35 years old and still going strong.
I have the same one, got it in 1989. Works very well. Apparently, KitchenAid was still using the Hobart specs for those mixers even though Whirlpool owned the company then.
Great video!! Glad I discovered you because I have a 2018 pro 600 model that fails the dime test. Brand new machine. This is related to the bowl height as you probably know but the paddle attachment doesn’t touch the dime at all. I have rotated the adjustment screw from all the way left to all the way right with no discernible difference. I haven’t had any luck with the kitchenaid people and so hopefully you can shed some light on what I need to do. Thank you again. Keep up the awesome videos!
Hi Zach, great video, thank you very much! I bought a pro 600 at Costco last month (specifically KP26M9PCCU) and interestingly it came with the accessories that you show for the 7 quart: 11 wire whip, the dough hook without the rounded hub (maybe the bullet nose hub is for glass?) and the standard and flex edge beaters. Also interestingly, your pro 600 has a rather loud Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) (the high pitch whine) are they all like that? Mine sounds more like the DC model but it is a 2020/21 model so maybe they redesigned the VFD. I've wanted a kitchenaid since I was a kid, my grandpa was a restaurateur who passed in a car accident when I was 4, I grew up on his farm and one of the things from a previous restaurant he owned was a HUGE kitchenaid mixer that was stored in the barn loft. I have no idea about the quart capacity but the bowl was at least 18-24" across. Too bad that it went with the farm when my grandma eventually sold it :(
Wonderful Zach! Thank you. I'm having to replace my mothers 1980's 4.5 qt. lift head Kitchen Aid, that I've been using to make bodycare products. It is such a workhorse, heavy, but the motor is starting to get hot. I've been looking at the commercial 8 qt. but might consider the dc Pro line 7. If I knew where you were, maybe I could get my 80's one tuned up.
Update: I did purchase the Pro 7 qt and absolutely love it. The 22 tine stainless beater makes my product super smooth, fine grainless and I can work with doubled recipe size. Very quiet.
I'd be willing to bet a sewing machine repair person would also be able to fix these quite easily. I know all the parts are not hard to come by. Just a thought.
Just stumbled on this video. I received the 6 qt as a Christmas gift but havent used yet. Currently have a Hobart from the 70s probably, I don't know really how old it is. We upgraded because I have the ice cream attachment and it will not work on the old models. I fell in love with the glass bowl and just had to get it. :-)
Great Video Zack, I really appreciate you taking the time to record it. I am doing research to purchase a heavy duty stand mixer to make keto bread for my husband. Your video is one of the best I have seen. Now, I need to find the KSM5, Our keto bread will be made in small batches with almond flour and psyllium powder, so I believe after your explanation the KSM5 will get the job done.
An excellent presentation from someone who knows his equipment inside and out. If the newer bowl-lift models start to bend with using attachments, it is nothing when compared to the permanent downward bend our tilt-head Kichenaid mixer now has! We used it to peel apples with the appropriate attachment, but failed to notice 'the bend' until it was too late. I checked the internet and Kitchenaid website for any information on fixing this to no avail. Kitchenaid should issue a warning that the use of some attachments can result in the permanent loss of using the mixing bowl because the permanent bend causes the beaters to be too low to be adjusted through the adjustment mechanism. Anyway, thanks for providing direction for my next purchase (and it won't be a tilt head model!)
The Kitchenaid mixer is basically a smaller home version of the Hobart commercial mixer. When i worked at the local high school they had a Hobart commercial mixer in the kitchen. It had the same bowl lift as a Kitchenaid mixer, and gigantic versions of the same attachments which fit the same.
AMAZING video. I’m wowed! I learned so much. I would love to see repair videos. I’ll have to comb through your channel later and see if you have any. Just wanted to say you are inspiring. 😃
I’m in the market for a mixer and I haven’t been able to find any that would top KitchenAid. Now, the difficulty is trying to decide which model to go with. The pro or the artisan. However, after seeing your video all I want is a vintage imperial gray like yours 😩lol. Thank you for your video 👏🏼!
Appreciate your in depth knowledge as I was looking to buy a used one (KitchenAid) but had no idea of what to look for, I do now!!! Thanks again Zachary, subscribed too!
Thank you SO much....I do not like the burnished metal on my wire whip, and I have never put it in the dishwasher, but it still looks cruddy after 10 years....and yes, its loud...not popular with the family since we moved to an open concept house! I cant justify the 7 qt but I WANT it! New subscriber! Thanks again!
The 7 quart KitchenAid Proline isn't cheap, but you can find very good deals around Mother's Day, Black Friday, and Amazon every day if you look carefully.
After watching this I’m sure my solid, beloved white KitchenAid stand mixer that burned in the 2020 Napa Valley wildire was a K5. I bought it from a chef friend in early 2000’s after he closed his restaurant…. I want that exact model!!!! Had two bands of stainless around the front like your KSM5… Will be searching for a refurb/used….
I inherited a KA Model 4C from my Mom which she inherited from my grandmother. It never fails & never breaks down. My Mom told me KA mixer was purchased when she was in her teens ( late 50's early 60's). I would hand this down to the next generation when the time comes. 14:14 Sounds like a UFO depicted in movies.
4 years later, your video is still helping people out. I just canceled my professional 600 order to order a artisan mini. I would LOATHE that noise. Thanks, dude!
The mini is superb and handles plenty of ingredients for savories and sweets!
I literally just ordered a 600 today and now I hear how bad the noise is. I will live with it though because I got it cheap.
I love my artisan . I've had it for years.
Before I say anything else, let me just say - WOW. Finally, someone has clearly, and accurately, explained the differences between these models of KA machines.
Yep,, Zach told the facts and not opinions!
smsstuart Great tips on the glass bowl. Thank you!
Merhaba lütfen cvp ben almayı düşünüyorum ama 6.6 mi yoksa 6.9 mu önerininiz lütfen cvp
Hey mate what the best one around 20L for house power
You'll like the 7 quart Pro Line mixer. Quieter yet much more powerful.

I have the same Imperial Grey mixer as in the video. I've had it since 1989 and it's still going strong in 2022! I hope yours will last as long.
I am about to purchase my first kitchenaid, I cannot thank you enough for this informative and expert review! 🤩
Would you make a similar video on the Artisan series, including a comparison of Artisan vs Pro, please?
I’m feeling good about buying my Kitchenaid mixer after watching this video. It allows for up to 10 cups of whole wheat flour in bread making and that makes 4 loaves at one time. It handles it with grace and dignity. I also love the fact that it quietly hums when it works. This is my third Kitchenaid mixer and I think I’ve finally got what I need. Thanks for the interesting video from the perspective of someone who knows the guts of these machines!
This video helped solidify my decision to go with the 700. Great info!
That second one sounds like a UFO. I have a kitchen aid mixer that my husband bought for me Christmas of 1999. I'm still using it in 2023. I worked in bakeries for 16 years decorating cakes and they all had Hobart stand mixers. They are incredible too. Thank you for your insight regarding these machines.
thank you for making this video. I've been researching standing mixers for too long. I took the plunge today and ordered a refurb. wish me luck! :)
Did you have luck with the refurbished mixer? I just ordered one myself. Hoping it works well!
I'd love to know the results on the Wish mixer order!
1.3 HP.
Such a pleasant voice. Great video 👍🏼
I am so glad I ran across your video, because I am looking into KitchenAid mixer so I can make my own bread! Thank you!
I’m a little late to the party but thought the information you gave was great. All my questions answered in one video. Thanks man!
Just ordered my 7Qt after watching this video. Great video!
Excellent information! Have a K45ss and simply love it. Been running over20 years flawlessly.
Picking a mixer is overwhelming because it's an investment. This is the most informative video I've watched. Loved it!
Thanks for the informative video!
i have no idea what you were explaining --- BUT --- you made it so interesting ---- your presentation captured my attention --- thank you
Not only is this video super informative but it's just really interesting. Thanks for putting this together.
@@FernieYoutoo because it’s cheaper sadly
Shari Kleczka oh no, and that's so easy to fix too. Thank you for watching!
You will be much happier over time!
Just the video I was looking for! Thanks Zach! I really was trying to see the inner workings and what would hold up the best & this explained it so well. Knowing the inner workings on the machine & that one could possibly work on it themselves is incredible knowledge! Thanks again!
great video content, a deep understand of the proline mixers. just ordered Proline 7 Quart. pretty excited to have it. thank you!!
Thanks to this video, we went from looking to buy the Pro 600 to buying the Pro Line 7 Qt. Thanks a lot for such an insightful review.
Zac, thank you for putting this video out. I am researching the stand mixers because it really is difficult to decide which model is best. The places they are sold don't offer much information.
Great video Zachary, I still have the K5SS my dad bought for my mom in the mid 80's after her Sunbeam Mixmaster died after yrs of holiday baking
Dude, you're great at these videos. Thanks for a very informative video. Really helped me with my X-mas gift decision.
Thanks.
Appreciate your effort in detailing these lift bowl wonders! Answered my questions abt Proline 7! Thanks!
Thank You for taking the time to create and share this wonderfully informational and helpful video with us all ❤️.
Good video. I am saving up for a nice mixer and your knowledge is so helpful. Please make more.
Thank you so much. I’m new to the kitchenaid mixers and this really helped and informed my decision of which to buy.
Very helpful, Zachary. You've assisted me on my next purchase. Kind regards,
Darryl
Awesome video and you’re so easy to listen to with that pleasant voice.
The 7 quart is much quieter AND more powerful.
wow I just learned alot from you, thanks. My husband is on his way home with a Professional Series 6 from Costco and I'm scared to turn it on, lol. I now want a DC motor all because of your brilliant explanations. I wish you would have addressed the stainless attatchment accessories available for specific models.
Doesn't looks like you did this first time video. Great job!
Curious, if I’m grinding meat, will a 275 watt machine handle that ok?
I have just watched your (2018) video presentation of the 3 models, and I have to say that you have done an excellent job of the comparison, it was the best of several related videos that I watched. As I'm in Australia, I've obviously had to do some weight/power conversions, but overall it was an extremely informative presentation without being too technical. Keep up the excellent work, well done.!! Cheers - Russell
Awesome! Great info Zachary!!! Love the video!
AmyLearnsToCook I just found his TH-cam channel it’s interesting
How do these compare to the tilt mixers?
Great information. You saved me from buying the "wrong" mixer.
Thanks 😊 I have the professional 550 HD and I need to start using it. I bought a second-hand off a friend when he was moving.
Thanks for the info Zach! Helped my pick between the 600 pro and the 7 qt pro for my wife's gift!! (the 7qt)
Richard W how is it working so far?
@@Mashka1000 been holding up great! Worth the extra dough.
@@Mashka1000 she does a ton of baking and it doesn't struggle with mixing.
What is the model of the mixer with the planetary gear? Thanks.
@@milosrankovic8952 KSM7586POB We have found the SS paddle and dough hook.. They work great.
@@milosrankovic8952 KSM7586
Thanks for the great information on the differences on the models ! I still have my KSM 25 5 qt and it’s a work house
Thanks Zach, this is a great video. I learned a lot and I appreciate you putting it together.
I think that's the model i just picked up for free. It's also branded heavy duty. I feel like i hit the lottery on this one : )
Thank you
I bought my 600 today. First one to own or use. I had no idea ☹ fixing to use it for the first time.
Very detailed, Zach. I'm an amateur collector who will probably go buy another Kitchenaid mixer that needs help this weekend now that I know more about it!
Great, thanks for info. We have an older K5A and love it. Starting a refurb job, wish me luck!
And furthermore, i keep you site in my adressbook for help when there are problems!😉
Keep up the good works!👍😘
This is very informative, thanks!
I bought a KA Pro600 4 years ago and it sure got noisy the longer I use it. I thought I ruined it 😭 but somehow it still works fine. I wanted to buy the DC motored version then but it was already way out of my budget. 😊
Zac, Very nice vid. As a DIY person I have fixed a quite a few machines and currently am looking for a 7-8 qrt size mixer for bread dough. You provided some quality comments. Cheers and thanks.
Your presentation very professional and your knowledge much appreciated.
Thanks for the comparison. I'm about to receive a 600 series 590 watt KitchenAid and will compare the noise/performance to my 20 year-old Artisan mixer. The DC model is much like the one my mom has, which is at least 35 years old and still going strong.
I have the grey model and have had it since the early 1990’s. Still works great.
Too bad that it went with the farm when my grandma eventually sold it :(
lol, my husband right now is on his way home with the Costco pro 600 series and I'm afraid to hear it. I sure hope mine sounds like yours.
Very quiet.
You could definitely get yours (mothers) fixed. I opted for older ones and had to do some readjustments. Pretty happy with it. They are work horses.
I'd be willing to bet a sewing machine repair person would also be able to fix these quite easily. I know all the parts are not hard to come by. Just a thought.
penelope 2232 yep! You betcha they can cause I’m one of them sewing machine gals! I love my KitchenAids and sewing machines! 👍🏾💓
I have that grey pro line. Bought it in the late 80’s. It does bread very well. Love mine.
Thank you so much for making this video, Zach. It's so helpful.
Excellent review! Will be getting the 8qt Commercial because the new 7qts have the AC motors.
Zach, great video. Enjoyed it very much :)
I would try a electric hand held steamer with brush attachment on the case and it should pull all the "crud" out of the nooks and crannies
