Thanks for this one! I usually hike alone (I always leave my plan with my adult child) and I have never felt unsafe. But sometimes when I am home I freak myself out thinking about boogeymen and bears!
I love hiking alone and plan to solo on my thru hike next year...i am not concerned, but my sisters are 😂 I'm gonna send them this video. Thanks so much!
I enjoyed hiking alone even though I love meeting up at the end of the day at the shelter's. Good video. I was like you , when I was alone at first I was apprehensive but quickly realized I was safe!!! Always enjoy your videos!!!
I enjoy solo hiking as well as with a companion. My problem is I still struggle on the inclines and I feel guilty if I am holding someone back. I usually make up time on the declines where most hikers have knee issues . It’s very difficult to find a perfect partner. I like the idea of planning on a destination and meeting there for the night. Once again good info .Thanks for taking the time to put this stuff out here for others that have questions.
I hiked alone for 6 hours in the woods - no problem whatsoever.
very very good. thanks!
Good to hear your thoughts as an experienced at hiker
Another great video. Thank you.

Good advice. I almost always hike alone.
More good information, thanks.
This is great. Traveling on your own is empowering.
Thanks for the video.... I feel 100x safer being in the woods vs being in a city.

I hike alone and really do not mind company neither but if I want to slow down I feel like holding people back.
