I really hope we'll eventually get more flashbacks about the three Diamonds' relationships. We've seen quite a bit, but with all these speculations, clearly there's still much to reveal (Not to mention White literally not being in the picture so far). Yellow's realtionship with Pink makes me more curious rn than Blue's realtionship with Pink, because with Blue it seems much clearer... Although hey, maybe even that one is not as simple as it seems now, SU is good at surprises after all.

EXACTLY! I always felt that the scene in The Trial was so odd and VERY intentional (Steven's gem also sparkled like that in Three Gems and A Baby). As you said it's like Yellow knew something was off whe he revealed his gem.....something that at the moment Blue couldn't notice because of her grief. But I'm sure Blue has a lot of doubts about the validity of the Rose shattered Pink narrative after blue Zircon's defense.
Hypergon maybe, but then again she might not even care. I've always imagined White Diamond as an emotionless figure who just wants to move on and continue colonizing worlds.

Do you think Yellow had a feeling that Pink Diamond allowed Rose Quartz to shatter her? She clearly has no idea that the two were the same gem, but she might have picked up on Pink's love for Earth and organic life, and added two plus two. She's clearly very intelligent, after all, and she had over 6000 years to think it over. Maybe Yellow wanted the trial to end quickly because she was scared her theory could turn out to be proven correct.
Great video! I deffo think Rebecca wanted to covey how different people handle the lose of a loved one with the diamonds. When people started thinking yellow diamond shattered pink I could help but think that there's a lot more to it than that.
I think it makes sense the way the Diamond's mourn. Blue wants to hold on like you said in the video as she's keeping the Rose Quartz gem's bubbled and The Zoo active but Yellow seems more vengeful like in the trial she says "I say we shatter her and get it over with" and she also really wants Earth to be destroyed. Did anybody else get this??
I'll have to throw this devil's advocate here..... What if she was suspicious as just another hint that Steven was Pink? exactly as you said "she was suspicious that she wasn't a normal Rose Quartz after seeing the stone" (paraphrased) we should see that she's susp.
I'm going with an old theory I had since The Trial. In PD, Yellow saw nothing but weakness and flaws. As such, she desired to do to her what she always did with Gems who either "refused to fall in line" or "didn't fit in with their 'perfect' society." Destroy her

That would exaplain why YD has that expression during the trail when seeing Pink like thinking "what are you doing here your existence is supposed to be secret, you'll get me in trouble" while Blue is thinking like "wait a minute, weren't you supposed to be shattered? Someone is hiding something from me " (stopped her crying)
The impression that I got is that yellow diamond wasn't mourning pink Dimond. She was avoiding it. She wanted Earth, the Rose Quartz gems and everything else that reminded her of pink Dimond destroyed so she didn't have to face what happened. She knows she needs to pretend to mourn but the idea of facing what happened and trying to come to terms with it terrifies her. In what's the use of feeling blue she asks the question " won't it feel good to be rid of it all?" And the answer is of course not. You still have to face what happened.
If there is a gun in the first act, it must go off in the third. There is a rule in story telling that you only mention something specific if you intend to make it important later. Visually this translates into closeups and *ahem* shimmers This theory is valid enough to consider, that much is certain.
Yellow noticed something was off with the gem, thought it might be Pink and wanted to proceed with the execution to teach Pink a lesson. They were probably planning to draw out the execution (a simple shattering was too good for such an enormous crime), torturing and poofing her several times before shattering. The first poof would've revealed she was Pink Diamond (or it would in the mind of Yellow, not knowing that Steven is half-organic). Then Yellow would pretend she had no idea and scold Pink that it was her fault she got tortured because she continued to pretend to be Rose Quartz, and then she'd be punished for an extended period of time for her "insolence" (maybe even sent off to some gem equivalent of a boot camp) with the aim of giving her another chance at a colony when she's learned her lesson and matured a bit. I base this on the fact that in the first interaction we see with them Yellow acts like a mother or older sister whose patience is being seriously tried by her daughter/younger sibling. Or there's a darker possibility, they were going to cut right to the shattering because Yellow secretly wants to eliminate Pink.
Nahh I think yellow diamond saw something off, she thought at first that Steven haves pink diamond gem or Steven is pink diamond but her heart resist, instead she use her mind that pink is shattered...
I think Pink Diamond gave her sculpture of her own gem to her rose quarters but there's a slightly difference that the other diamond only know...that's why yellow diamond get the feeling that something is off or yellow diamond is the only one who knows about pink diamonds gem and rose quarters gems that's why blue didn't notice it... When Pink Diamond reverted back from Rose, the cut had the tip of the pentagon pointing down. What if the actual cut of gem is shaped like that, and she had it upside down when she gave it to Steven. That might be why Yellow found it strange.
Interesting theory that Yellow knew more and noticed something off about Steven's gem. I hope your suspicious prove to be true and are a factor that leads up to the leaked reveal involving the Diamonds.

I always thought that scene of Steven lifting up his shirt to reveal his gem to the Diamonds during the episode The Trial was strange and it was strange when Yellow Diamond raised her eyebrow after she saw the shine of Stevens gem I always knew there must of been a reason behind that moment i think when the Stevens gem shined it was 🌺Pink🌷Rose🌺 accidentally showing herself as a Diamond and her presence within her gem in The Trail at least that's what I think😊
THEORY: White Diamond knows all. This theory is somewhat composed of two or three other theories. There will be stages with each theory being explained. Have a read, and reply! I wan to know your guys thoughts. Stage 1, Pink Diamond is Off-Coloured. To back this theory up, I’d like to state what I think her form was supposed to be. Yes, I bet she was supposed to be bigger and stronger, but aside from that there’s something crucial I haven’t heard much people talk about: She was supposed to be Red. For instance, the diamonds are supposed to be these almighty beings, goddesses if you will. They always come first. They’re always PRIMARY. It starts with the diamonds and it ends with the diamonds. Now, Incase anyone is not familiar with the primary colors, there are Three: Blue, Yellow and RED. Not Pink, red. You can’t tell me that the diamonds almost resembling the primary colors is a coincidence. With the obvious exception of White Diamond, as White technically isn’t a colour, I believe all the diamonds were supposed to resemble the primary colors.(The Primary colors are colors that cannot be made out of the other colours, due to the fact that they make the colours.) It would be a nice realisation. “Diamonds are unique. You can’t make more, they make all.” In summary, I believe Pink was supposed to be Red. Stage 2, White didn’t like this. Whether or not this theory is correct, we can gather up that White doesn’t care that much about the whole Pink situation- I mean she didn’t even come to the trial. You can argue that she may have important things to do, but I’d disagree. Even if she wanted to get over Pink (if she did care), the trial holds great value, it’s an act of respect to come. For something that changed home world completely and that changed the way you see certain gems, you’d think she’d show up due to relevance. I imagine that when Pink was made White hated her, she despised her. Which might be partially why she leaves Yellow and Blue to take care of her. She eventually had it, she was tired of being embarrassed. She wanted her gone. This brings me to the third stage. Stage 3. She orchestrated the war and put ideas in pink’s head. This is the interesting part. Now, White wants pink gone, but she can’t run up and shatter her exactly. And then she got the idea of doing it with her approval: the war for earth. White overhears the conversations Yellow and Blue have with Pink, and seizes the opportunity to finally get rid of Pink. So she walks up to her and proposes the idea that she colonizes earth, specifically earth, as it as life and she knows Pink wouldn’t harm anyone. (This might be a stretch but maybe she gives Pink her Pearl as some sort of guide? Due to pearl having to be there during many colonizations). So then she waits. Not long after, Pink comes back to tell her that she doesn’t want to colonize earth, after Yellow and Blue refused. Then White tells her that she should pretend to be a different gem and lead a war, goldfish scaring the diamonds away. White knows this wouldn’t work. So Pink goes into battle as Rose Quartz, with the first member being her Pearl. Due to diamond advances, soldiers didn’t know what hey were getting into, and ended up defeated. Noticing how Blue or Yellow still don’t budge, she comes back to white. This time White tells her to fake her death. Pink agrees, and thus, fakes her death. So homework knows that Pink is dead and Rose thrives. Not wanting to come off as skeptical, White also had to act like she’s affected. This makes her partake in the corruption blast. But what if she actually wanted her gone, and to never pop up again even on earth? Because let’s face it; Rose going back for final notes is not impossible: and then White Diamond creates the cluster, to completely wipe any trace of crystal gem in the solar system along with pink/Rose. - This could be why White doesn’t show up at the trial, as she feels as if it’s not important because really, she knows what’s up. This could also be why she’s not name dropped by Pink. Notice how in a Single Pale Rose, Pink says “Yellow and Blue” don’t care: she thought White cared for her! This could also be why no ships or gems were sent to earth for the sake of hurting the CGs other than Jasper and Peridot! Surely There would be like millions. The could be because white doesn’t want the truth to come out, and she wants the cluster to be a quick thing so no gem can actually see Rose and somehow notice that she’s Pink.

Jose Luis Castaneda That is a good theory. It could be why Yellow was so frustrated when Peridot argued to keep earth striving. But if she knows, then why would she want to shatter her so quickly. Yellow names several times that they should just shatter her. This could be because she’s that terrified of White, which is a good concept. We know she loved Pink, as she sang with so much emotion to blue. And being so terrified as to not say a word about Pink’s existence and to want to get rid of her must be the reason why she’s always frustrated, she feels guilty about keeping this secret from Blue. Every moment that she cries, Yellow feels a knife in her chest. Or, perhaps, White did what Pink did to Pearl, but more forcefully. Imagine her saying “My order to you, as THE superior, never speak a word about Pink’s fake death.” If this secret gets out, there might be a civil war that White would obviously win. Blue would be on the other side, and Yellow knows she wouldn’t stand a chance. Yellow wants to protect blue.
Yes, the fact that Yellow wanted to shatter Pink as soon as possible is the hardest obstacle in this theory. Maybe at the end of SU, if this is true, then maybe Yellow would have explained that she really wasn't going to shatter her and that she had something prepared to fake her shattering (some kind of trick). When Zircon is getting close to the truth, Yellow acts on rage and creates a diversion which "Pink" uses to run. I think Yellow is in on it too because if she wanted, she could destroy Earth right? But she doesn't because she knows that is where Pink lives. Yes, White could be in on it too like you mention. It is possible, but I would really love the idea of a final battle between Yellow Blue, and the crystal gems Vs. White, defending natural life on planets.
Jose Luis Castaneda I’d be satisfied with that, but the timing has to be perfect, slow and steady. And the mystery White Diamond carries isn’t unintentional. But I do think that White Diamond won’t be addressed as “White Diamond”, but as just “Diamond”, as a regular Diamond is White or Clear. Another thing is that White could have so much power that when people say “The Great Diamond Authority”, they’re only talking about White.(This is unlikely as when Jasper speaks of the GDA it showed all four). But I do like the concept of all gems, even fellow Diamonds, fearing White. Hell, maybe it’s a Voldemort thing and no gem is allowed to say her name.
Great analysis as always. My gut still tells me that Yellow's behavior at the trial was that of someone with a secret they were afraid would come out in the proceeding. The only thing that makes sense is that she figured out that Pink was a traitor that had staged her death and was therefore alive for the corruption attack. It's plausible that Yellow then decided to shield Blue from this knowledge. Too painful for her. Yellow's conflicted guilt over Pink's corruption and Pink's betrayal are the sources of her pain, unlike Blue who is in mourning over Pink's murder. I say Yellow is conflicted because she still may believe Pink's betrayal warranted execution, even though she was horrified in her deepest self at the thought of corrupting her. Whether I'm right, there seems to be a minority consensus building that Yellow got wise at SOME point between the beginning of the rebellion and the end of The Trial and the question is when.
You know, I have a theory that White Diamond wasn't actually aware of the trial... That Blue and Yellow made this trial without White knowing it because if she knew, she wouldn't have let it happen. Blue convice Yellow to do this trial so she could have answer and Yellow can't refuse it to her because she care for her and doesn't want to lose her Like she lost Pink. On the other hand, Yellow knows if White knows "Rose Quartz" is still alive and they let her go, she would be FURIOUS and the diamonds would be in great danger... Wich's is the reasons why I believes Yellow seems suppession during the trial and she wanted to be with off with it already...
A member of the Ruby squad also noticed something off about Steven's gem. Maybe Yellow saw it too and noticed there's something a bit off about his. Particularly the color.
Yellow knows rose Secret when zircon pointed out a diamond had a hand on it she poof zircon because he was getting to close from the truth and made her scene so steven could escape. What hurt Yellow was the fact that he was hiding the truth from Blue.
I think that there's nothing suspicious about YD acting so impatient during the trial, because that's just in her nature to do that. Now if she were being reasonable and patient, that would be a completely different story.
We all handle grief in different ways and what you said could be true to that she wants take of her blame of not helping pink that much that she was shattered and now only does she understand pd’s value but my theory was that yd handles her grief by forgetting all of it and moving on... she wants forget the past and get a grip on future and make sure that nothing else like this happens. She wants to just stop crying over the past because there is truly nothing that could be done and she thinks it’s useless too cry over it and that’s the reason she wants to get rid of everything related to pd because that would remind her of pd and she would cry all over again.
I think that's one side of it but I think yellow is more practical. She wants to get rid of pinks zoo because it serves no real purpose but to remind them of her and those gems there have at least some potential to be useful in some capacity. There's also the direct way she shows her emotions letting them out at the cause instead of wallowing in the sadness like blue does

What i think: I think yellow diamond knew pink was leading a double life. But, maybe pink told yellow that she wanted a zoo, and wanted to keep deformed gems, blue thought about it, but yellow was disgusted. So then, since yellow knew rose was pink, she kept it a secret because she hated her and she wanted her dead for her opinion?
On the topic of them seeing Steven's gem, what if real rose quartz gems point downwards instead of how Steven's point upwards. If so that would cause them to look at it that way.
I have an idea about the diamond weapons if the PD is a shield would that mean the other are a sword, spear, and a bow because those are the four leadary weapons
Ooo oo, what if Yellow suspects something? What if she thinks Pink betrayed them? What if that's why she reacts the way she does, wanting to destroy everything that's left? Perhaps she knows something happened, and feels hurt by Pink's actions?
What if Yellow knows that pink faked her shattering, what if she knew about what pink done, since they're fellow diamonds they must've known each other's abilities for a long time. She might have known that pink can heal gems, she must've known that a diamond can change their diamond's placement and the fact that Pink's gem pinker than a normal rose quarts' gem may have ringed to her seeing how she reacted when she saw Steven. I think she wanted to shatter Steven to force Pink to come out and say to everyone that she lied with her new form, she didn't say all of this to Blue cause she wanted Pink to say it herself. She might've have even planted the cluster to force Pink to come out once the Earth is destroyed...
That theory of your's kinda reflects towards myself, so it's very possible. Like how yellow lost pink, I also grieved the same way as she did when my ex broke up with me. I hated him yet still loved him, i wanted to get rid of him because he was a hinder in my thoughts, the mere sound of his name just makes me sick and I just want to get away from the topic because he messes up my mind when he is mentioned. I hated him to the point where I wish I was the one to cut ties with him then maybe I wouldn't be feeling so depressed over it. But as years go by, I got over him, and when I lost my feelings for him I also lost my hatred for him. I actually want to be friends with him now since he is pretty kinds, he wasn't a douchebag, he just probably realized that it wasn't going to work, while I confused myself with true love and puppy love. Maybe it would have worked out if we got to know each other more. So I have a feeling that the diamonds will actually have somewhat the same development, even tho it's not pink who is there, a part of her is still with steven, and they'll want to start over and correct their past mistakes.
Maybe yellow had always known who rose really is all the way through rebellion but she just sucked it up because she looked down on her (PD) and afterall, Earth was her one and only planet. Some small dispute won't be much inconvenient to her business. She probably didn't like her at all and wanted to get rid of her, maybe it was her personality or maybe this could be related to white diamond? Like white favored pink or something despite her incompetence. Thus, she didn't care about everything that happened to her on earth. And if she's shattered, she might as well be shattered. All that was left to do is to send that rays which corrupted the gems who are still on Earth. Not much. But then she saw steven gem and realized it was PD's or something so she's suprised by this. All in all, there was something else with yellow. The trial felt so hurried by her and details seen as unnecessary as if she wanted to avoid any involvement. Maybe this is just the way Rebecca made to confuse viewers on who's responsible for PD's shattering. Maybe it's more than that. Let's see.
I feel bad for blue. Blue cared about pink but pink thought she didn’t care I wonder if pink forgives blue seeing her crying because rose/pink can see in steven’s eyes
I believe she does know that she was never shattered, it is just like what Jasper said about serving the order of the Diamonds and those who do not fit in the order must be purged. This is a statement that certainly wouldn't come from someone like Pink Diamond than another like Yellow Diamond. Which she would include a defective Diamond.

One problem I have with Yellow Diamond theories is the assumption that Yellow sincerely grieves for Pink. This is something she says to Blue, someone she has a reason to influence. Compare this to Blue, whom we've seen grieve over Pink with nobody around but her Pearl (and a certain Earth native). At this point, at least we know that Yellow wasn't involved in a conspiracy to assassinate Pink, since there was no external conspiracy in the latter's "shattering". Yes, it could be simply that Yellow wants Blue to move on and so wants proceedings to be expedited as much as possible, but since the "trial" was a most rudimentary affair that would have lasted about as long as a Judge Judy case had Yellow kept her self-control and allowed things to go to their expected conclusion, I find this either a weak excuse or weak storytelling. If there was no conspiracy, and Yellow had a real reason to shut things down, then why? Canon hasn't supplied enough clues to make solid theories, but offhand I could give the following causes: (1) That Yellow has guessed that Rose was actually Pink and wanted this kept secret, even if it meant Pink's destruction, (2) That White is involved somehow with Pink, Yellow knows this and that Rose has Pink's power and the two together could pose a serious threat to Yellow's own stranglehold on Homeworld, (3) That White knows that Rose is Pink, is disgusted as this traitor to the Authority and tells Yellow to brush aside Blue's efforts to find answers and get "Rose" smashed without delay, without informing Yellow of her suspicions.
Guess that's explain why Yellow Diamond send Peridot to earth with the Clusters to blow up the earth to get rid of the evidence s,the crystal gems,the humans and the memories of pink diamond but Pink diamond wasn't shattered at all she just want Blue and Yellow Diamond to listen to her more often
I think this could lead to an interesting plot twist: I know there has been theories of Blue Diamond joining the CG's before the the reveal of Pink and Rose being the same, and those theories are growing more popular because of the reveal. But what if instead of Blue being redeemed and joining the CG's it's actually Yellow instead. What if Blue believes she can bring Pink back by removing the gemstone from Steven, the same way Pearl thought it would bring back Rose in "Three Gems and a Baby." (Maybe through some persuasion by White Diamond, obviously taking advantage of Blue's grief.) And Yellow could join the CG's as a way of moving on; she was never there when Pink needed her and believes that Steven is her second chance to make up for it. I know the leaks showed Yellow and Blue being on "friendly terms" with the CG's, but I doubt that the both of them are going to join the team. I still think one Diamond should remain on Homeworld's side with White. There is possibly a 100% chance that none of this will happen, but I just wanted to get my thoughts out there.

You are the only person on the right track with this. It’s simple, White used that moon base orb to see that Pink was actually Rose and didn’t tell the other 2 diamonds. Blue/Yellow/White then did the corruption blast “destroying” everything including Pink. White told Yellow afterward making all of them murderers of Pink. Yellow poofed White in anger and put her in the Pyramid where no one would be looking for her. She never wanted Blue to know what actually happened because then she would blame herself. Yellow still has yet to realize that Pink is still, well, whole, and uncorrupted.
There's only one big problem with that. If White really was the gem in the pyramid then why her gem still shows up in the current Diamond authority simbol? And don't tell me that NO ONE noticed her missing.

And on top of that, if she really poofed WD, why did she brought her gem to the Earth, when she knew that eventually the Cluster would come out, ergo destroying WD? And no, she couldn't have wanted to destroy her with the Cluster because: 1 She would have to wait thoudands of years for that and if WD got free somehow it would have been over for her. 2 If she wanted to destroy WD, why wait for the Cluster to emerge when she could have done it when she poofed her. I'm sorry for you, but that theory doesn't hold water.
Soul6 Remember the Human Zoo? Agate had not seen Diamonds for many years and it was perfectly normal. Yellow Diamond doesn’t want to be a murderer directly therefore passively killing her holds less weight. From Yellow’s perspective nothing on Earth could get to White to take her out of the Pyramid. She didn’t know about the Crystal Gems and only made the Pyramid to kill humans.
Regarding Agate not seeing the diamonds for many years, you have to consider that the zoo is pretty far away from Homeworld and she always stayed there so it's logical that she wouldn't see the diamonds for a while. WD on the other hand should be always or the majority of the time on Homeworld. So the fact that she hasn't been seen for thousands of years would definitively create suspicion.
I loved this video, but just some constructive criticism. It feels like when you use the clips from the show so constantly, it feels like they’re interrupting what you’re saying. My advice would be to use clips from the show a little less frequently. Again, I love your videos, so I want to see you do well.

So far steven universe is underwhelming, kinda stupid, and way overhyped for me. I've just started this shit but i stopped after the episode fusion cuisine which is so far like the 5th stupidest episode and the worst(only positive being the fusion). That shit episode with onion and the toy being a close second. I know people say the episodes I've watched so far are the ones you have to push through and that i need to get to episodes 38 and beyond to get to the "good" stuff but man am i not seeing a reason to continue. I only started this shit to: A) See the fusions. Which so far I'm not disappointed in at all and are the best things about the series...minus the gay pandering dances to activate them. "Great subtlety" there rebecca. B) See if the so called "plot" is actually worth getting as excited about as all the fans and sjw idiots make it seem. If it's not then you bet your ass this will be a series on my hate list and from what I've seen on my own (and also researched what the fandom and sjws have done) it's leading up to me purely hating it. And lastly C) To see if the rose is pink diamond thing is really worth getting angry about or if it's something to be happy about and opens new doors. None of these characters are likable. Maybe greg is sort of but he lost me a bit when he faked his broke leg. Garnet- boring as fuck Amethyst- gross, unappealing chick who tries too hard to be cool Pearl- typically annoying, goody goody who follows the rules aka mrs buzzkill. Lastly (because fuck everyone else) Steven- Annoying, little idiot who's WAY too hyper. Fusion cuisine had him at his worst for me for how ungodly stupid he was. Argh! Now I'm mad thinking about it! I really hope we'll eventually get more flashbacks about the three Diamonds' relationships. We've seen quite a bit, but with all these speculations, clearly there's still much to reveal (Not to mention White literally not being in the picture so far).
Yellow's realtionship with Pink makes me more curious rn than Blue's realtionship with Pink, because with Blue it seems much clearer... Although hey, maybe even that one is not as simple as it seems now, SU is good at surprises after all.

EXACTLY! I always felt that the scene in The Trial was so odd and VERY intentional (Steven's gem also sparkled like that in Three Gems and A Baby). As you said it's like Yellow knew something was off whe he revealed his gem.....something that at the moment Blue couldn't notice because of her grief. But I'm sure Blue has a lot of doubts about the validity of the Rose shattered Pink narrative after blue Zircon's defense.

Do you think Yellow had a feeling that Pink Diamond allowed Rose Quartz to shatter her? She clearly has no idea that the two were the same gem, but she might have picked up on Pink's love for Earth and organic life, and added two plus two. She's clearly very intelligent, after all, and she had over 6000 years to think it over. Maybe Yellow wanted the trial to end quickly because she was scared her theory could turn out to be proven correct.

I think it makes sense the way the Diamond's mourn. Blue wants to hold on like you said in the video as she's keeping the Rose Quartz gem's bubbled and The Zoo active but Yellow seems more vengeful like in the trial she says "I say we shatter her and get it over with" and she also really wants Earth to be destroyed. Did anybody else get this??

What if she was suspicious as just another hint that Steven was Pink? exactly as you said "she was suspicious that she wasn't a normal Rose Quartz after seeing the stone" (paraphrased) we should see that she's susp.

I'm going with an old theory I had since The Trial.
In PD, Yellow saw nothing but weakness and flaws. As such, she desired to do to her what she always did with Gems who either "refused to fall in line" or "didn't fit in with their 'perfect' society."

The impression that I got is that yellow diamond wasn't mourning pink Dimond. She was avoiding it. She wanted Earth, the Rose Quartz gems and everything else that reminded her of pink Dimond destroyed so she didn't have to face what happened. She knows she needs to pretend to mourn but the idea of facing what happened and trying to come to terms with it terrifies her. In what's the use of feeling blue she asks the question " won't it feel good to be rid of it all?" And the answer is of course not. You still have to face what happened.

There is a rule in story telling that you only mention something specific if you intend to make it important later. Visually this translates into closeups and *ahem* shimmers

Its good to see someone else acknowledge the possibility that Yellow and Blue where the ones running the war instead of Pink.
Yellow noticed something was off with the gem, thought it might be Pink and wanted to proceed with the execution to teach Pink a lesson. They were probably planning to draw out the execution (a simple shattering was too good for such an enormous crime), torturing and poofing her several times before shattering. The first poof would've revealed she was Pink Diamond (or it would in the mind of Yellow, not knowing that Steven is half-organic). Then Yellow would pretend she had no idea and scold Pink that it was her fault she got tortured because she continued to pretend to be Rose Quartz, and then she'd be punished for an extended period of time for her "insolence" (maybe even sent off to some gem equivalent of a boot camp) with the aim of giving her another chance at a colony when she's learned her lesson and matured a bit. I base this on the fact that in the first interaction we see with them Yellow acts like a mother or older sister whose patience is being seriously tried by her daughter/younger sibling.
Or there's a darker possibility, they were going to cut right to the shattering because Yellow secretly wants to eliminate Pink.

When Pink Diamond reverted back from Rose, the cut had the tip of the pentagon pointing down. What if the actual cut of gem is shaped like that, and she had it upside down when she gave it to Steven. That might be why Yellow found it strange.

I always thought that scene of Steven lifting up his shirt to reveal his gem to the Diamonds during the episode The Trial was strange and it was strange when Yellow Diamond raised her eyebrow after she saw the shine of Stevens gem I always knew there must of been a reason behind that moment i think when the Stevens gem shined it was 🌺Pink🌷Rose🌺 accidentally showing herself as a Diamond and her presence within her gem in The Trail at least that's what I think😊
THEORY:
White Diamond knows all.
This theory is somewhat composed of two or three other theories. There will be stages with each theory being explained. Have a read, and reply! I wan to know your guys thoughts.
Stage 1, Pink Diamond is Off-Coloured.
To back this theory up, I’d like to state what I think her form was supposed to be. Yes, I bet she was supposed to be bigger and stronger, but aside from that there’s something crucial I haven’t heard much people talk about: She was supposed to be Red.
For instance, the diamonds are supposed to be these almighty beings, goddesses if you will. They always come first. They’re always PRIMARY. It starts with the diamonds and it ends with the diamonds.
Now, Incase anyone is not familiar with the primary colors, there are Three: Blue, Yellow and RED. Not Pink, red. You can’t tell me that the diamonds almost resembling the primary colors is a coincidence. With the obvious exception of White Diamond, as White technically isn’t a colour, I believe all the diamonds were supposed to resemble the primary colors.(The Primary colors are colors that cannot be made out of the other colours, due to the fact that they make the colours.)
It would be a nice realisation. “Diamonds are unique. You can’t make more, they make all.”
In summary, I believe Pink was supposed to be Red.
Stage 2, White didn’t like this.
Whether or not this theory is correct, we can gather up that White doesn’t care that much about the whole Pink situation- I mean she didn’t even come to the trial. You can argue that she may have important things to do, but I’d disagree. Even if she wanted to get over Pink (if she did care), the trial holds great value, it’s an act of respect to come. For something that changed home world completely and that changed the way you see certain gems, you’d think she’d show up due to relevance.
I imagine that when Pink was made White hated her, she despised her. Which might be partially why she leaves Yellow and Blue to take care of her. She eventually had it, she was tired of being embarrassed. She wanted her gone.
This brings me to the third stage.
Stage 3. She orchestrated the war and put ideas in pink’s head.
This is the interesting part. Now, White wants pink gone, but she can’t run up and shatter her exactly. And then she got the idea of doing it with her approval: the war for earth.
White overhears the conversations Yellow and Blue have with Pink, and seizes the opportunity to finally get rid of Pink. So she walks up to her and proposes the idea that she colonizes earth, specifically earth, as it as life and she knows Pink wouldn’t harm anyone. (This might be a stretch but maybe she gives Pink her Pearl as some sort of guide? Due to pearl having to be there during many colonizations).
So then she waits.
Not long after, Pink comes back to tell her that she doesn’t want to colonize earth, after Yellow and Blue refused. Then White tells her that she should pretend to be a different gem and lead a war, goldfish scaring the diamonds away. White knows this wouldn’t work.
So Pink goes into battle as Rose Quartz, with the first member being her Pearl. Due to diamond advances, soldiers didn’t know what hey were getting into, and ended up defeated.
Noticing how Blue or Yellow still don’t budge, she comes back to white. This time White tells her to fake her death. Pink agrees, and thus, fakes her death. So homework knows that Pink is dead and Rose thrives.
Not wanting to come off as skeptical, White also had to act like she’s affected. This makes her partake in the corruption blast.
But what if she actually wanted her gone, and to never pop up again even on earth? Because let’s face it; Rose going back for final notes is not impossible: and then White Diamond creates the cluster, to completely wipe any trace of crystal gem in the solar system along with pink/Rose.

This could be why White doesn’t show up at the trial, as she feels as if it’s not important because really, she knows what’s up.
This could also be why she’s not name dropped by Pink. Notice how in a Single Pale Rose, Pink says “Yellow and Blue” don’t care: she thought White cared for her!
This could also be why no ships or gems were sent to earth for the sake of hurting the CGs other than Jasper and Peridot! Surely There would be like millions. The could be because white doesn’t want the truth to come out, and she wants the cluster to be a quick thing so no gem can actually see Rose and somehow notice that she’s Pink.

But if she knows, then why would she want to shatter her so quickly. Yellow names several times that they should just shatter her.
This could be because she’s that terrified of White, which is a good concept. We know she loved Pink, as she sang with so much emotion to blue. And being so terrified as to not say a word about Pink’s existence and to want to get rid of her must be the reason why she’s always frustrated, she feels guilty about keeping this secret from Blue. Every moment that she cries, Yellow feels a knife in her chest.
Or, perhaps, White did what Pink did to Pearl, but more forcefully. Imagine her saying “My order to you, as THE superior, never speak a word about Pink’s fake death.”
If this secret gets out, there might be a civil war that White would obviously win. Blue would be on the other side, and Yellow knows she wouldn’t stand a chance. Yellow wants to protect blue.
Yes, the fact that Yellow wanted to shatter Pink as soon as possible is the hardest obstacle in this theory. Maybe at the end of SU, if this is true, then maybe Yellow would have explained that she really wasn't going to shatter her and that she had something prepared to fake her shattering (some kind of trick). When Zircon is getting close to the truth, Yellow acts on rage and creates a diversion which "Pink" uses to run.
I think Yellow is in on it too because if she wanted, she could destroy Earth right? But she doesn't because she knows that is where Pink lives.
Yes, White could be in on it too like you mention. It is possible, but I would really love the idea of a final battle between Yellow Blue, and the crystal gems Vs. White, defending natural life on planets.

And the mystery White Diamond carries isn’t unintentional. But I do think that White Diamond won’t be addressed as “White Diamond”, but as just “Diamond”, as a regular Diamond is White or Clear.
Another thing is that White could have so much power that when people say “The Great Diamond Authority”, they’re only talking about White.(This is unlikely as when Jasper speaks of the GDA it showed all four).
But I do like the concept of all gems, even fellow Diamonds, fearing White. Hell, maybe it’s a Voldemort thing and no gem is allowed to say her name.

Great analysis as always. My gut still tells me that Yellow's behavior at the trial was that of someone with a secret they were afraid would come out in the proceeding. The only thing that makes sense is that she figured out that Pink was a traitor that had staged her death and was therefore alive for the corruption attack. It's plausible that Yellow then decided to shield Blue from this knowledge. Too painful for her. Yellow's conflicted guilt over Pink's corruption and Pink's betrayal are the sources of her pain, unlike Blue who is in mourning over Pink's murder. I say Yellow is conflicted because she still may believe Pink's betrayal warranted execution, even though she was horrified in her deepest self at the thought of corrupting her.
Whether I'm right, there seems to be a minority consensus building that Yellow got wise at SOME point between the beginning of the rebellion and the end of The Trial and the question is when.

You know, I have a theory that White Diamond wasn't actually aware of the trial... That Blue and Yellow made this trial without White knowing it because if she knew, she wouldn't have let it happen. Blue convice Yellow to do this trial so she could have answer and Yellow can't refuse it to her because she care for her and doesn't want to lose her Like she lost Pink. On the other hand, Yellow knows if White knows "Rose Quartz" is still alive and they let her go, she would be FURIOUS and the diamonds would be in great danger... Wich's is the reasons why I believes Yellow seems suppession during the trial and she wanted to be with off with it already...
A member of the Ruby squad also noticed something off about Steven's gem. Maybe Yellow saw it too and noticed there's something a bit off about his. Particularly the color.
Yellow knows rose Secret when zircon pointed out a diamond had a hand on it she poof zircon because he was getting to close from the truth and made her scene so steven could escape.
What hurt Yellow was the fact that he was hiding the truth from Blue.
I think that there's nothing suspicious about YD acting so impatient during the trial, because that's just in her nature to do that. Now if she were being reasonable and patient, that would be a completely different story.
We all handle grief in different ways and what you said could be true to that she wants take of her blame of not helping pink that much that she was shattered and now only does she understand pd’s value but my theory was that yd handles her grief by forgetting all of it and moving on... she wants forget the past and get a grip on future and make sure that nothing else like this happens. She wants to just stop crying over the past because there is truly nothing that could be done and she thinks it’s useless too cry over it and that’s the reason she wants to get rid of everything related to pd because that would remind her of pd and she would cry all over again.
In short, Yellow is just grieving. Her way to cope is trying to forget. Like a self defense mechanism. No memory, no pain, no self blaming.
I think that's one side of it but I think yellow is more practical. She wants to get rid of pinks zoo because it serves no real purpose but to remind them of her and those gems there have at least some potential to be useful in some capacity. There's also the direct way she shows her emotions letting them out at the cause instead of wallowing in the sadness like blue does

I think yellow diamond knew pink was leading a double life. But, maybe pink told yellow that she wanted a zoo, and wanted to keep deformed gems, blue thought about it, but yellow was disgusted. So then, since yellow knew rose was pink, she kept it a secret because she hated her and she wanted her dead for her opinion?
On the topic of them seeing Steven's gem, what if real rose quartz gems point downwards instead of how Steven's point upwards. If so that would cause them to look at it that way.
I have an idea about the diamond weapons if the PD is a shield would that mean the other are a sword, spear, and a bow because those are the four leadary weapons
Ooo oo, what if Yellow suspects something? What if she thinks Pink betrayed them? What if that's why she reacts the way she does, wanting to destroy everything that's left? Perhaps she knows something happened, and feels hurt by Pink's actions?
What if Yellow knows that pink faked her shattering, what if she knew about what pink done, since they're fellow diamonds they must've known each other's abilities for a long time. She might have known that pink can heal gems, she must've known that a diamond can change their diamond's placement and the fact that Pink's gem pinker than a normal rose quarts' gem may have ringed to her seeing how she reacted when she saw Steven. I think she wanted to shatter Steven to force Pink to come out and say to everyone that she lied with her new form, she didn't say all of this to Blue cause she wanted Pink to say it herself. She might've have even planted the cluster to force Pink to come out once the Earth is destroyed...

That theory of your's kinda reflects towards myself, so it's very possible. Like how yellow lost pink, I also grieved the same way as she did when my ex broke up with me. I hated him yet still loved him, i wanted to get rid of him because he was a hinder in my thoughts, the mere sound of his name just makes me sick and I just want to get away from the topic because he messes up my mind when he is mentioned. I hated him to the point where I wish I was the one to cut ties with him then maybe I wouldn't be feeling so depressed over it. But as years go by, I got over him, and when I lost my feelings for him I also lost my hatred for him. I actually want to be friends with him now since he is pretty kinds, he wasn't a douchebag, he just probably realized that it wasn't going to work, while I confused myself with true love and puppy love. Maybe it would have worked out if we got to know each other more.
So I have a feeling that the diamonds will actually have somewhat the same development, even tho it's not pink who is there, a part of her is still with steven, and they'll want to start over and correct their past mistakes.

Maybe yellow had always known who rose really is all the way through rebellion but she just sucked it up because she looked down on her (PD) and afterall, Earth was her one and only planet. Some small dispute won't be much inconvenient to her business. She probably didn't like her at all and wanted to get rid of her, maybe it was her personality or maybe this could be related to white diamond? Like white favored pink or something despite her incompetence. Thus, she didn't care about everything that happened to her on earth. And if she's shattered, she might as well be shattered. All that was left to do is to send that rays which corrupted the gems who are still on Earth. Not much. But then she saw steven gem and realized it was PD's or something so she's suprised by this. All in all, there was something else with yellow. The trial felt so hurried by her and details seen as unnecessary as if she wanted to avoid any involvement. Maybe this is just the way Rebecca made to confuse viewers on who's responsible for PD's shattering. Maybe it's more than that. Let's see.

One problem I have with Yellow Diamond theories is the assumption that Yellow sincerely grieves for Pink. This is something she says to Blue, someone she has a reason to influence. Compare this to Blue, whom we've seen grieve over Pink with nobody around but her Pearl (and a certain Earth native).
At this point, at least we know that Yellow wasn't involved in a conspiracy to assassinate Pink, since there was no external conspiracy in the latter's "shattering". Yes, it could be simply that Yellow wants Blue to move on and so wants proceedings to be expedited as much as possible, but since the "trial" was a most rudimentary affair that would have lasted about as long as a Judge Judy case had Yellow kept her self-control and allowed things to go to their expected conclusion, I find this either a weak excuse or weak storytelling.
If there was no conspiracy, and Yellow had a real reason to shut things down, then why? Canon hasn't supplied enough clues to make solid theories, but offhand I could give the following causes: (1) That Yellow has guessed that Rose was actually Pink and wanted this kept secret, even if it meant Pink's destruction, (2) That White is involved somehow with Pink, Yellow knows this and that Rose has Pink's power and the two together could pose a serious threat to Yellow's own stranglehold on Homeworld, (3) That White knows that Rose is Pink, is disgusted as this traitor to the Authority and tells Yellow to brush aside Blue's efforts to find answers and get "Rose" smashed without delay, without informing Yellow of her suspicions.

I think this could lead to an interesting plot twist:
I know there has been theories of Blue Diamond joining the CG's before the the reveal of Pink and Rose being the same, and those theories are growing more popular because of the reveal. But what if instead of Blue being redeemed and joining the CG's it's actually Yellow instead.
What if Blue believes she can bring Pink back by removing the gemstone from Steven, the same way Pearl thought it would bring back Rose in "Three Gems and a Baby." (Maybe through some persuasion by White Diamond, obviously taking advantage of Blue's grief.)
And Yellow could join the CG's as a way of moving on; she was never there when Pink needed her and believes that Steven is her second chance to make up for it.
I know the leaks showed Yellow and Blue being on "friendly terms" with the CG's, but I doubt that the both of them are going to join the team. I still think one Diamond should remain on Homeworld's side with White.
There is possibly a 100% chance that none of this will happen, but I just wanted to get my thoughts out there.

You are the only person on the right track with this. It’s simple, White used that moon base orb to see that Pink was actually Rose and didn’t tell the other 2 diamonds. Blue/Yellow/White then did the corruption blast “destroying” everything including Pink. White told Yellow afterward making all of them murderers of Pink. Yellow poofed White in anger and put her in the Pyramid where no one would be looking for her. She never wanted Blue to know what actually happened because then she would blame herself. Yellow still has yet to realize that Pink is still, well, whole, and uncorrupted.
There's only one big problem with that. If White really was the gem in the pyramid then why her gem still shows up in the current Diamond authority simbol? And don't tell me that NO ONE noticed her missing.
Soul6 No one noticed her missing. Lol. Yellow had to cover it up and could easily say everyone has to now go through her to talk to White. Blue became distracted which may make it easier to fool her, but that is a problem.
Electric Blue Zircon Yeah, but NOBODY of WD's court said: "Ehi, why all of the sudden our diamond doesn't let us see or speak to her?" in 6000+ years? And on top of that, if she really poofed WD, why did she brought her gem to the Earth, when she knew that eventually the Cluster would come out, ergo destroying WD? And no, she couldn't have wanted to destroy her with the Cluster because:
1 She would have to wait thoudands of years for that and if WD got free somehow it would have been over for her.
2 If she wanted to destroy WD, why wait for the Cluster to emerge when she could have done it when she poofed her.
I'm sorry for you, but that theory doesn't hold water.
Soul6 Remember the Human Zoo? Agate had not seen Diamonds for many years and it was perfectly normal. Yellow Diamond doesn’t want to be a murderer directly therefore passively killing her holds less weight. From Yellow’s perspective nothing on Earth could get to White to take her out of the Pyramid. She didn’t know about the Crystal Gems and only made the Pyramid to kill humans.
Regarding Agate not seeing the diamonds for many years, you have to consider that the zoo is pretty far away from Homeworld and she always stayed there so it's logical that she wouldn't see the diamonds for a while. WD on the other hand should be always or the majority of the time on Homeworld. So the fact that she hasn't been seen for thousands of years would definitively create suspicion.

I loved this video, but just some constructive criticism. It feels like when you use the clips from the show so constantly, it feels like they’re interrupting what you’re saying. My advice would be to use clips from the show a little less frequently. Again, I love your videos, so I want to see you do well.

If Amethyst is her birthstone it's impossible for her to be a Capricorn. (Dec22-Jan19). She would be either an Aquarius or a Pisces. Capricorn's birthstones can be either Turquoise/Blue Zircon or Garnet (like mine).

Yellow was one who gave pink a planet..
blue didnt want give her. blue was like yellow diamond before pink dissapeard. while yellow was too much involve duties to colonise.. while blue is more inteligence side..
So far steven universe is underwhelming, kinda stupid, and way overhyped for me. I've just started this shit but i stopped after the episode fusion cuisine which is so far like the 5th stupidest episode and the worst(only positive being the fusion).
That shit episode with onion and the toy being a close second.
I know people say the episodes I've watched so far are the ones you have to push through and that i need to get to episodes 38 and beyond to get to the "good" stuff but man am i not seeing a reason to continue.
I only started this shit to:
A) See the fusions. Which so far I'm not disappointed in at all and are the best things about the series...minus the gay pandering dances to activate them. "Great subtlety" there rebecca.
B) See if the so called "plot" is actually worth getting as excited about as all the fans and sjw idiots make it seem. If it's not then you bet your ass this will be a series on my hate list and from what I've seen on my own (and also researched what the fandom and sjws have done) it's leading up to me purely hating it.
And lastly
C) To see if the rose is pink diamond thing is really worth getting angry about or if it's something to be happy about and opens new doors.
None of these characters are likable. Maybe greg is sort of but he lost me a bit when he faked his broke leg.

Amethyst- gross, unappealing chick who tries too hard to be cool
Pearl- typically annoying, goody goody who follows the rules aka mrs buzzkill.
Lastly (because fuck everyone else)
Steven- Annoying, little idiot who's WAY too hyper. Fusion cuisine had him at his worst for me for how ungodly stupid he was.
