I've just finished this game today and damn i was enjoying it, i agree with you in most of your points, i didn't really liked the dull sensation of the other mechs on the battlefield but i know that there are some missions you wouldn't win without allies, and i want to believe it was mostly because of limitations the devs had, though i think this point wouldn't come up if they didn't brought up how supposedly the other pilots had that much skill, and seeing the game like some sort of Serious Sam x Armored Core i actually dont care that much about the static allies and other mechs. Ngl i didn't felt that much of a punishment like you when i played, but thats just because, as a Armored Core and speed addict, i focused my build in energy recharge and efficiency, so i had almost permanent boost with only quickboost and energy weapons really draining the energy bar, it was really fun, but i think it can prove that the amount of punishment you get depends mostly on your build, so the game is not that unfair, anyway, nice video, you got a new sub, buddy.
I'd say it's horror in the same manner as EDF is horror. Yeah, it's not rubbing your face in it, but if you watch the storyline it's... well it's really horrifying to picture, no matter how absurd the packaging can be. About the missile unit issue: I think that's a product of enemy design expecting your build to have a certain level of energy efficiency, in use or recovery. That's such a huge defining part of your mobility that it becomes a pass/fail condition, especially on the missions you outlined as sticking points. Hopefully the sequel is going to remedy the checkpoint issue. Solid advice you put down here, always nice to have that available to people.
Moody (Lead Tester) here, randomly found this on my recommended one night at 3am, watched it all the way through and was pleasantly surprised and also amused by some points in the video that are extremely valid, great video :)
@@plastron8010 Honestly its fine, there wasnt anything I would consider mean spirited at all towards the dev, all very valid critiques or comments made towards it :)
Oh hiii there , game updated and got new DLC just a couple of days ago

I had to rewatch it to make sure i wasn't being too mean-spirited. I'm glad you liked the video. I'm looking forward to trying the DLC.
