      No problem, please note that the frame stuttering issue only happened at 2.7K/30fps, I have since tested it at 4K and although the frame stuttering is gone at 4K, the manual ISO setting still does not work right and results in a severely overexposed image in everything except for "Auto ISO". I will put one more video up to show the 4K video on firmware 3.0 which I have already shot, but I have sent the camera back to Amazon as it was the second one in a row with these issues.

      @@NW1337_TH-camhow about on firmware v4? Is it still stuttering on 2.7K Res 30FPS?

    • @NW1337_Youtube

      @@kennynugraha Yes, the stuttering was there and quite bad on both V3.0 and V4.0 firmware at 2.7K/30fps. The new V50X camera I purchased in 2022 came with V4.0 on it already, and it was because of the terrible stuttering that I got the V3.0 firmware to try from the Amazon seller. However the V3.0 firmware did not fix the issue and was just as bad as V4.0 on that resolution. Hope that helps.

    hello do you have a link to the 3.0 firmware. I am currently on 2.0 and its always rare finding links to anything newer

      Thank you for watching and leaving a comment, unfortunately I don't have the firmware files/links any longer.

    I can definitely notice the stuttering around 0:23 on the building to the right. I have a question, When you change the exposure or iso settings do you notice any changes? I'm currently talking to akaso support because when I change the EV or ISO, nothing changes whatsoever. I don't expect much, because it's an action camera, but I did expect it to at least do something. This camera is useless at night.

      Yes the exposure compensation setting on my camera was basically useless using a fixed ISO value. For some reason the low res proxy files (.lrv files) were affected by the exposure compensation, but not the main high res video, or what shows on the back screen during recording, it had no effect on those like what you are seeing. I think a lot of people must just take this out of the box and shoot with everything in auto, because there are major issues with the exposure, frame rate in certain resolutions, and the ISO settings as soon as you start to try and get a little more advanced with the settings.

      I had an akaso v50pro se: customization of EV, ISO, exposure point were basically useless. As @NW1337 said, they're cheap camera ready to shoot full auto only. Now I have an Yi 4K+, bought used in perfect condition for 90$ (Italy) and it's so much better. I can't even think of what insta360/gopro/dji are capable of.

      @@bridan94 Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. I actually did end up getting a GoPro hero 10, and while it was about 4x the cost of the Akaso, the video quality and stabilization are completely unbelievable. I have read good things about the Yi cams, so I'm happy to hear a good review from someone who tweaks the settings off of "auto"....👍

    3.0 sucks compared to 1.0. Only thing needing addressed was audio quality.

    Why is FW 1.0 for me better than 3.0?! WTF?

    • @NW1337_Youtube
      @NW1337_Youtube  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They were two different cameras which were made years apart. My theory is that they had hardware changes in the new camera (most likely for cost savings) but the new firmware hasn't had all of the bugs worked out of it yet. Yes I agree the original camera and firmware 1.0 is vastly superior to the new camera with the 3.0 firmware. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.

    firmware 1.0 is brighter

    • @NW1337_Youtube
      @NW1337_Youtube  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, but keep in mind that I did adjust the exposure compensation on the new V50X because it would over-expose the video when the ISO is set to anything other than "auto". WIth a bit of trial and error, I could have probably matched the exposures better, however it was mainly the stuttering caused by a variable frame rate that I was attempting to show. Thank you for watching and leaving a comment.

      The biggest issue is the new V50X using the 3.0 firmware (as well as the 4.0 firmware it came with) is the variable frame rate, which causes a stuttering effect. You can see it most clearly when the motion is perpendicular to the camera, for example the vehicles passing in front of the camera at about 2:27 But it also makes it a lot more difficult to mix the V50X footage with other cameras like my DJI drone as the frame rate is not constant.
