I’m doing a 5K tomorrow. It’s a tradition and something fun. I’m not doing it to “earn” the food later… it’s just something my friends and I like to do. After that, I am thinking hard about how I’m going to handle the day, tho. I’ll be seeing some pretty opinionated people who haven’t seen me since 80 lbs ago. I’m not “out” about the GLP-1, but I can envision people scrutinizing my eating. Happily, I enjoyed Christopher’s delicious Thanksgiving dinner without gaining an ounce (or spiking my blood sugar). Tomorrow, I’ll eat plenty of turkey and then choose the rest carefully. And, if it’s not delicious, I’m NOT eating it!! Thanks for all the tips and tricks. I feel well prepared to WIN! 😘
Thanks again for the tips! The way I describe how I feel on Tirzepatide is I can now "eat to live" and still enjoy food in the process! Happy Thanksgiving to you both!
There is a wine that they sell at Publix and Walmart called Fitvine. I always buy their cabernet. It has zero added sugar and it's low carb. Specifically, 0.12 g of sugar, 4.8 g of carbs, and 121 calories a glass. If you drink too much of it, you might still lose your inhibitions and overeat, but it tastes pretty good and you can feel good about having a glass or two.
I’ve been on Wegovy two weeks so this is my first holiday being on the medication. I am going to approach it by taking small portions of what I want. I’ll start with the protein and vegetables so if I get full, I’m not eating the carbs. If I’m full I’ll save dessert for later. I plan on a light breakfast and skipping lunch. I appreciate your guidance in this video. Happy Thanksgiving.
Hi Guys, thanks for great poo advice! Biggest problem but hey! lost 8lbs in 4 weeks so worth it. Just ordered fibre gummies as you suggested. 79 so up-aging but downsizing. Love your chats
I’m not a big holiday food, person, and this year my husband and I are just doing Thanksgiving together as our boys go to their wives families and we opted out of another family gathering, so he will have the turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy and everything, but I don’t care for Turkey, so air will have a few bites at best. I am not going to eat anything I don’t love. I am only going to eat what I want and that will be dressing, roasted vegetables, and Cold Stone Banana Ice Cream with mini chocolate chips. I will be making the dressing with less butter this year and I will have protein for breakfast. Will I reach my 80 gr of protein tomorrow- nope. I’m 53 pounds down since June, losing every week. I think I’ll survive Thanksgiving.🙂Happy Thanksgiving! I am thankful for your channel and all you put into it.
My mom gave this to me a few years ago. I asked her where it came from and she said it was a boutique in Summerville SC. I think the brand is Simply Southern. 🤩
Christopher, I am so glad to hear that you love to cook. I do, too, and I have lost 55 pounds so far on Mounjaro. Another GLP1 podcaster that I follow recently said that she used to love cooking and new recipes, but she was happy to give all that up and find new hobbies since her weight loss. I've been struggling with that, and it made me sad. How has your love of cooking changed on tirzepatide, or has it changed at all?
CD: yes I still love to cook. The meds have just helped shift what I cook to recipes that are better for our health and higher quality ingredients. We don’t eat that much so we can afford to make sure every bite tastes great . The bigger shift has been both my daughters going to college and cooking for just Laraine and I instead of our whole family

So true!
Turkey & the relish tray with veggies & cranberry sauce were always my Fav!

Loraine, I like your vest! Is it available for purchase somewhere?

I’ll eat ALL the starches, but start with a tablespoon serving 😊

Yes, we are eating much healthier meals now, too.😊 Happy Thanksgiving to you both from Clayton, NC-- neighbors!
I’m dairy and gluten free so if I want pumpkin pie, I have to bring a version I can eat.
I love crustless pumpkin pie. I don't like the crust. Lol
My mom makes hers that way. She says the crust is always soggy. 🙄
Hi Christopher you look like your falling asleep listening to your wife
You are so funny you too
Happy Thanksgiving
Dana
CD: Just hanging out
“Fabreeze”-Carry and use Poo-Pourri.
14:00 Thats like my mom's "secret" pecan pie recipe (on the karo syrup bottle) 😊😆
I ate like a fool yesterday and lost 2.2 lbs overnight. Please explain 😮
I love it when that happens! Reel in back in today and hold on to that loss! Glp1s are magic 🪄
