    Thank you for talking about metal and rock, is really hard to find reviews that talk about that. Your review was helpful

    Nice objective review.
    I got these on a warehouse deal for £100 UK, an absolute steal for that price.
    One of the most underated headphones EVER. Ive had Sundara, 600, 660S2, AT R70X, X2, DT1990, T1 and the Fidelio X3 IMHO are top of the tree
    Give them 50+ hours burn in for the proprietary gel to spread and settle in the driver layers and the bass deepens, overall sound smooths out , highs are crisp and very detailed and of course that HUGE soundstage and separation (bigger than X2) increases with burn in. I do think because of the construction of the drivers these headphones benefit greatly from use.
    Too much snobbery in the Hi Fi world in my opinion and biased towards established brands like Sennheiser, Beyer etc.

    Thank you for the review. I purchased the x3 and have been listening to them for some time now;
    I am obsessed with sound quality and I have the means to keep a collection of planar magnetic headphones, dynamic headphones, and even a pair of noise canceling wireless headphones, which I plug into a my pile of high end electronics. Each of my cans sound a bit different from the others and I enjoy them as I wish for appropriate occasions. I've gone through a bunch, and have kept a select few.
    The x3's are the least expensive headphones I now own... they sound *GREAT!!!* Definitely going to keep these in my arsenal.

      Hey ! Do you think that for competitive fps and hip hop / rap the Hifiman Sundara would be better than the Fidelio X3? Thanks !

      I have ordered the Fidelio X3 as my first dynamic driver headphone, I also own a planar HE400se and a Noise cancelling headphone 1more Sonoflow with a few iems and wireless earbuds from Technics and Samsung. I am so excited for the fidelios tbh. Gonna be a different experience.

      Since they're discontinued, a lot of places are clearing them out. Bought a pair last week for $99 with free shipping. At that price, it was a steal.

    Do you happen to know how these compare to the HD560S? I’ve ordered a used set of these and hoping they’re like the tuning of the 560S but with the soundstage of the X2HR, that’d be my perfect headphone

      Curious myself, I was using the Sennheiser 6XX for a moment and went back to my X2HR because of the serious bass advantage, honestly I still love the X2HR more - especially with movies. Even comparing them now on my JDS Atom Stack - the X2HR blows them away for me, I can only imagine the X3 probably take it further.

    Guys did anyone compare Fidelio X3 to Audio-Technica MSR7b by any chance ? For my taste AT is directed to much in to highs and after longer listening making me tired...if you know what I mean.

    This is a nit pick and something that is stopping me from buying these, the cable, on amazon I can't find a left and right split cable to a 3.5mm jack :/

    • @tetrisgoat
      @tetrisgoat 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello from the future! I don't know anything about Amazon, since i've never bought anything via them before, but the cable is actually even worse than you believe, as it is proprietary. It would not work with any 3.5mm cable, as the ring-pole on one of them (right I believe?) is different.

    Single sided cables on the X2 are much more flexible for me. I leave the cable plugged into my amp and switch the cable to a lightning cable for moving around with my phone. No reason for upgrade here.

      @@Ash-cb8qu They are really great when it comes to comfort. Barely feel them on your head. Only problems i have is that it leaks sound and its lacking bass, but it is an open back headphone so that is to be expected. Also the sound clarity is really good! Overall great headset. Still use them after 3 years. And i havent noticed any wear or tear even after daily use.

    Philips 9500 is much better by design and sound. X3 press too much on head. Why change excellent 9500 design to crap?
