God I miss this band so damn much. One LP and one EP is such a crime. These ladies are incredibly talented, such aces on each instrument. I know Gacharic Spin is essentially the same band with a different singer, but God damn Fuki is freaking incredible. Reminds me of a Japanese Floor Jansen. That power voice is absolutely killer and undeniable. I know she's got Unlucky Morpheus now, but Doll$boxx just had that special charm and sound. Here's to hoping they'll resurrect Doll$boxx some day. 🥲
Just want to be honest. This is the first song I listen to Fuki. That was 7 years ago. And then I started to follow this band, including Light Bringer, Unlucky Morpheus, Fuki Commune and even Fuki's solo project. My life has changed after that. Fuki is love Fuki is life.

Was watching through visual kei bands and I realised I have never tried looking for female visual kei bands I searched around and the vocals weren't very impressive and I wanted songs with screamo in them This band is GOOD. BLEW ME AWAY COMPLETELY.
The word they were looking for was growling vocals. Some of Fuki's other projects include Fuki Commune, Unlucky Morpheus, and (now defunct) Light Bringer. All excellent.
each time i hear this one i remember the first time i heard it, i was doing something else while listening random music and when the song started i've got so blowned up i immediately come to check what that song was just to see the public reaction in the video was just the same xD
For those who don't know, Japan has these places, I guess you could call them clubs, where they hold concerts performed by high-school aged girls for the audience consisting of almost entirely men, many of wich have a fetish on high-school girls. (Also to note, there are many stories concerning clubs like that also dealing in prostitution and such.) The concert they perform in the start of (and throughout) the video represents such a place. They seem to want to represent a soullesness of such place in this video, maybe even parody-ing it (with conversations happening in the background in the beginning), but that's just what I got from it first viewing the video. All in all great song.
+TheNeoDaedalus heads up that the rest of this is a train of thought, sorry if there's something inaccurate or something - i don't feel like thinking it through, poke holes if needed be, talk it out and all that. i don't wanna start some ish lol. i feel like that's not exactly what they're going for. idols are one of the big trends in japan right now, based on, if not some sort of individual image, virtually any sort of theme (dancing hip-hop, baseball, not being idols, green onions), as long as it's a bit more about them being particularly cute. with so many around, there's still ample room for girls (ranging from their teens, well into their 20s) aspiring to be idols to be exploited. so you're not wrong, but from how i understand it, it's a bit more obvious than that. i should note that the first translation i could find of this pretty much has it as a "confession to a love interest" song, but we'll focus on the imagery here. the guys in the room are dressed as typical otaku - fogged-up glasses, with plaid button-down shirts seeming to be the closest thing to a fashion statement outside of white t-shirts - along with the specific dressings of wota (idol otaku), the headbands and the glowsticks. the venue itself is the kind of tiny venue you'd expect rookie idol groups to perform in. the ladies are dressed up in very feminine, cute clothing that you'd expect to appeal to guys (twintails, maid outfits, lolita-ish fashion). meanwhile, as we've all noticed, they're taking the audience's expectations and smacking those shocked, frozen men with it until they wake up and realize they like the music (cuteness in an idol is paramount, music quality and singing ability, not as much). so tl;dr, the video's message seems to be "fuck cuteness, like my music bc it's good godammit" - that's what all that was about. the idol industry does have a fuckton of problems, but i doubt king records, which features some of the industry's biggest idol groups at the top of its very youtube channel (AKB48 - which has had some massive scandals that even made international news, and momoiro clover z), would not be likely to permit such obvious criticism.

This video and the music itself: Awesome. Besides that, and besides being pretty funny: it's a parable that explains the worldwide excitement about J-Rock - especially woman-fronted J-Rock bands. Bored fans of kick-ass rock music have discovered that most of the kick-ass rock music is coming out of Japan, and much of that from all-woman or woman-fronted Japanese bands. Thank you, Japan! I've played guitar since I was 13 (now in my 30's) but am nowhere at the level of Tomo-zo. And I was also never interested in bass until I heard/saw Koga play. Was watching through visual kei bands and I realised I have never tried looking for female visual kei bands
I searched around and the vocals weren't very impressive and I wanted songs with screamo in them

I haven't heard this before because I probably wouldn't have liked it before. Hah.
For those who don't know, Japan has these places, I guess you could call them clubs, where they hold concerts performed by high-school aged girls for the audience consisting of almost entirely men, many of wich have a fetish on high-school girls. (Also to note, there are many stories concerning clubs like that also dealing in prostitution and such.)
The concert they perform in the start of (and throughout) the video represents such a place.
They seem to want to represent a soullesness of such place in this video, maybe even parody-ing it (with conversations happening in the background in the beginning), but that's just what I got from it first viewing the video.
All in all great song.
+TheNeoDaedalus heads up that the rest of this is a train of thought, sorry if there's something inaccurate or something - i don't feel like thinking it through, poke holes if needed be, talk it out and all that. i don't wanna start some ish lol.
i feel like that's not exactly what they're going for. idols are one of the big trends in japan right now, based on, if not some sort of individual image, virtually any sort of theme (dancing hip-hop, baseball, not being idols, green onions), as long as it's a bit more about them being particularly cute. with so many around, there's still ample room for girls (ranging from their teens, well into their 20s) aspiring to be idols to be exploited. so you're not wrong, but from how i understand it, it's a bit more obvious than that.
i should note that the first translation i could find of this pretty much has it as a "confession to a love interest" song, but we'll focus on the imagery here. the guys in the room are dressed as typical otaku - fogged-up glasses, with plaid button-down shirts seeming to be the closest thing to a fashion statement outside of white t-shirts - along with the specific dressings of wota (idol otaku), the headbands and the glowsticks. the venue itself is the kind of tiny venue you'd expect rookie idol groups to perform in. the ladies are dressed up in very feminine, cute clothing that you'd expect to appeal to guys (twintails, maid outfits, lolita-ish fashion). meanwhile, as we've all noticed, they're taking the audience's expectations and smacking those shocked, frozen men with it until they wake up and realize they like the music (cuteness in an idol is paramount, music quality and singing ability, not as much).
so tl;dr, the video's message seems to be "fuck cuteness, like my music bc it's good godammit" - that's what all that was about. the idol industry does have a fuckton of problems, but i doubt king records, which features some of the industry's biggest idol groups at the top of its very youtube channel (AKB48 - which has had some massive scandals that even made international news, and momoiro clover z), would not be likely to permit such obvious criticism.

Maybe I wasn't clear about it, but I thought the parody.ing was more revolving around the otaku guys rather than the industry itself, which is why I don't find if weird for the company to publish it. (Actually since the comany pampers to these people it still is a criticism of the company, but the people responsible for the censorship are likely too thick to see throught it)

The reason I got into Japanese music (jrock jmetal, even jpop) was how fresh and forward the scene is. That was cool!

This video and the music itself: Awesome. Besides that, and besides being pretty funny: it's a parable that explains the worldwide excitement about J-Rock - especially woman-fronted J-Rock bands. Bored fans of kick-ass rock music have discovered that most of the kick-ass rock music is coming out of Japan, and much of that from all-woman or woman-fronted Japanese bands. Thank you, Japan! I came across this video almost 2 years ago randomly and just remembered about it a few days ago. After watching these ladies rock it out I want to play every instrument now. I've played guitar since I was 13 (now in my 30's) but am nowhere at the level of Tomo-zo. And I was also never interested in bass until I heard/saw Koga play. I'm also a quiet person but Hana's growl makes me want to do it too. lol
Lol koga made me want to smash my bass. Just wowshe puts me to shame.
