It's been almost 20 years since I bought the video of Denise Austin Pilates for Everybody. Although I tried differrent workouts over the course of time I keep coming back to this one. It's simple, sustainable and truely for everybody. Highly recommended.
I had the VHS lol. I loved it! I have been telling my husband that i need to get the dvd so i can start doing this again! Im so glad i found the videos on TH-cam. I am so out of shape & i feel like garbage everyday i cant wait to start doing this again!
I have tried many other workouts after Denise Austin, just to find she is the best for me! Makes me want to exercise everyday! I will never cheat on you agian Denise!

I am doing Pilates now to get my strength back after mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. I have been sort of in limbo waiting for surgery and being able to workout afterward and I felt Pilates is a good way to get that going again.
This is good. I don't like Pilates usually because its a bit too slow for me. But this is upbeat and really hits the lower and upper body in equal measure.
Even though these moves were created a while back - they are just now becoming popular! It's funny - when you watch a morning show for example, and they say they have "new" exercises to teach you, and they are these moves that have been around for decades.

vi, I think it's to keep up the viewers' motivation and attention. I understand if it gets annoying to u, but since I'm a beginner it helps me keep going. Lol
how necessary is it to hold your head off the floor during exercises like the hundred? my back is very sensitive and it hurts if i have to do it for too long...
In case you were wondering why Denise's voice is the way it is, I'm pretty sure she has vocal nodules. Its from talking at a high volume while exercising at a high level. Its common vocal condition from 1980s trainers and a big reason why you don't see a lot of trainers these days trying to repeat that behavior. Watch Denise in a 1980s video. Super-dooper peppy and LOUD.
Would be good if you mentioned clearly in the beginning that you need weights for this? Got over half way through n now i dont have weights.... just a little tip! x
It makes your abs work a lot harder cause your pushing them to the ground. If that is the case, you can put a pillow under your neck and/or head for more support
My favorite workout partner I've been watching your videos for years and I still think you are top-notch beautiful and I want to compliment you on your trip to feet respectfully I love watching your videos I lost a lot of weight and to ask it all that got out
Am I the only person who finds her voice super annoying? It is just like fingernails on a chalk board to me. I know she teaches great techniques and her workouts get results, but I just can't stand to listen to her for that long. I used to have a couple of her workouts and I had to give them away. Lots of the fitness mavens are aging now and they are all beautiful, such as Kathy Smith, TammiLee Webb, Kari Anderson, Leslie Sansone, Mari Windsore, etc.
I have been doing Dennis work outs for the last 15 years. I must honestly say Denise is so good. Thank you so much Dennis. Love to you and God bless
