    Another great accessory for the a6x00 is the leather half case, which protects the bottom of the camera and provides additional grip. I highly recommend it.

    1:54 actually the 18-35mm f1.8 is an aps-c lens so it should be possible to also use other efs lenses or am i wrong ?

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, Canon EF-S lenses have that extra plastic part in the mount, so it just physically doesn't fit.

  • @scb2scb2
    @scb2scb2 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would move to arca on the plates. Peak-design sells a micro arca plate that is a much better fit on the a6000/a6300/a6500 ( i own all 3 ). This also allows you to attach the v3 ankersfor even better way to carry the combo. Also there is a slide lite that sits between the leash and the full side slide. Lastly i personally am a fan of the 24mmf1.8 zony.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I usually use a long arca plate for tripod work to be able to better balance the camera with heavy lens, PD Micro Plate is also good option. 24mm F1.8 seems to be very usable and compact lens, unfortunately the price is quite high like with all Zeiss branded lenses.

    Good stuff .. have you used extended 2x zoom for a6500 with any of those lenses? Thanks

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks, yes, I use it mostly with 16-50mm kit lens, because it works seamlessly with power zoom, the sample with yellow flower is actually shot using 2x clearimage zoom and there are more samples in my other videos.

      The Hybrid Shooter couldn't tell. On TH-cam, I did not see a difference in quality. Is there any visible drop of the quality or any issues in sharpness In photos with that lens? I have a 19mm 2.8 and did not come across any. Thanks for your answer.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is no visible difference in image quality when using clearimage zoom, it still uses full 4K resolution, the only difference may be in low light because with clearimage zoom, it crops the sensor so it doesn't use the whole sensor area to capture the light.

      The Hybrid Shooter thanks. I'm in the hunt for f1.4 manual lenses, thinking of voigtlander 40mm 1.4

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Voigtlander are very sharp lenses, but there is great Sigma 30mm F1.4 with autofocus, which may be the sharpest prime lens for APS-C E mount cameras, so I would probably go for that one, but Voigtlander will definitely be fun to use.

    Nice video!! Very informative! So would you recommend turning down the camera with the 18-135mm lens bundle they’re doing over just getting the camera (body only) and buying the 16-55mm lens separately to start off shooting & recording?

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, 18-135 is definitely a superior lens and it is more all-round usable. If you budget allows you to get one in a bundle, I would probably take it.

    Have you ever used the a6300 / 6500 and the camera has turned off due to a lack of heat and battery?
    I ended up doing so yesterday
    Could not save meta data information of recorded file properly.
    The recovery system was activated because a new battery was inserted, but it was not recovered.
    There are files when I look at the files on my PC.
    The file exists but is not read.
    I contacted Sony.
    Sony said there was no way.
    Do I have to give up this file?
    I wish you had a way to save just a little bit.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, that has never happened to me, I'm sorry about your situation.
      You can try some software for SD card recovery but that is usually intended for SD card failures, other than that, I don't really know :(

  • @alexalexis7899
    @alexalexis7899 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You mention potential issues while using a power bank to power the camera... what issues exactly? I've been buying stuff to be able to use a power bank as an external battery for my Sony, as everything I've seen thus far says it helps with the overheating and makes the camera run longer, of course...

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Charging the camera while using it will actually cause overheating. What helps with overheating is using the battery grip and having only the "dummy" battery in camera. I have actually never had any issues with overheating on my A6500.

    • @alexalexis7899
      @alexalexis7899 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not talking about charging the battery inside the camera with a power bank while using the camera; I'm talking about not having a battery inside the camera and powering it via usb...

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is not possible.

    • @alexalexis7899
      @alexalexis7899 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh ok. Still, you are the first person I've seen mentioning overheating issues when using a power bank. In fact, people not only refer to it as a way to extend your battery life but as a way to also reduce the overheating precisely because the camera is not being powered from the inside. I'll do the test myself, then.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have never heard anyone say that charging battery while using it will make it cooler, that makes no sense. The camera is always powered from battery, even when it is being charged by USB.

    Nice video. I'm thinking about an adaptor in the future for my a6300. So it sounds like you can use the MC-11 with some non-Sigma lenses? (Only FF, I think you said.) I wasn't sure about that. Is there an advantage to the MC-11 over what Metabones offers (other than price) that you know of? Keep up the great videos. I use a G85 and a6300, so you're videos are great for me.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you can use MC-11 with most of Canon FF lenses and some third party lenses, functionality depends on specific lens, some work best with metabones, some with MC-11. Biggest advantage of MC-11 is that it provides full functionality with compatible Sigma lenses including face and eye autofocus, also autofocus works great on Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 basically like on native lens.

    Tell me please, how do the cameras sony a6500 and g85 write to the memory card a file with a long and continuous record of 40 minutes, 1 hour or more? The file is divided into several files (for example, 30 minutes or 4 GB each) or written in one large file as a whole?

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      A6500 withe one continuous file when you remove recording limit, regarding G85, I don't know, I only have G80 with recording limit.

    Hi , thanks for the great video ! I would like to know what wide angle lens would you suggest to me with the sony a6300 or a6500 please? And I am planning to go to Hong Kong and may be to China ..planning to buy camera and lenses and some accessories , is there any shops there or places where I can get them please at a cheap price? I can't order online coz in my country we are not allowed to :/ , thanks in advance :)

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you, my favorite wide-angle lens for A6500 is Samyang 12mm F2 but it is fully manual lens without autofocus. Unfortunately, overpriced Sony 10-18mm F4 is the only alternative with AF. Regarding shopping in Hong Kong or China, I can't help you with that.

    the problem with most kit lens is that they dont work well with gimbals as the lens can extend forward/backward.

    • @TheHybridShooter
      @TheHybridShooter  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is problem with every lens, even lenses with internal zoom are shifting the weight backward and forward while zooming. 16-50mm kit lens is so light that it is not a problem, of course you need to balance the gimbal while the lens is extended.
