Quill has had some 'dad' moments throughout the series and infinity movies,

@@zaynrivers7433 it makes perfect sense he left, Disney was doing things with the guardians he didn't want to happen and he can't control anything else in marvel other than his movies. Him going to DC is a great thing too since the previous directors for those movies just aren't as good as him either.

Technically he had already dropped the f bomb. In vol2 when groot said I am groot to yondu, yondu asked what did he say, and rocket said welcome to the fricken guardians of the galaxy only he didn’t use fricken. Then flying away rocket said we really need to think about you word choice. Implying groot did say the f word in his own language
I could see starlord series,where he see how much earth has changed.

He didn’t say anything bad about em, he said they gave him basically complete freedom on the cut.
I get equally excited for new MCU movies as I did the last I love them all
I do too. I think people get too ate up about it. I’ve enjoyed all of them and I’ve had fun seeing them in theaters.
Its just nice to see how the characters are doing. Its like an update from a family member whom you hadn't seen for a while and they got more adventures to tell.
Mini spoiler for guardians 3: I felt so happy when the guardians carried starlord just because he was to drunk instead of being dead how we thought

I cannot image where an f bomb would have worked in Endgame lol. Would have been very distracting, but it worked here really well

RDJ was supposed to say it instead of “I am Iron Man” at the end, they’d said so at some point though I don’t remember when and where exactly. I suppose the line would’ve been “F you” or “Go f yourself” but they never confirmed this.
What line would have an F bomb in Endgame? I can only imagine adding an f bomb to any line in the movie

He is allowed. PG-13 is allowed one use of the F word. You may be old enough but it’s Disney, and they’ve traditionally been light in that department.

@thisscreensucks yea, they're for everyone. If the kid isn't old enough for pg-13 they can wait a few years no big deal.
they allowed it so disney too, there is an interview of james gunn, he said it. but they always asked the director, if that thing want to be they legacy just like russo brother did to iron man in the end, iron man suppose to say f word, but russo not want that to be they legacy.
Agreed, the majority of marvel's audience are teenagers to adults who are obviously able to hear swear words.

Did everyone forget Guardians 2 had robot prostitutes? Or how Guardians 1 opened with Quil and some alien chick just finishing up banging? This is probably not the most "inappropriate thing" the Guardians movies have done (for those worried about their children in the comments)

Well. He is great director as we witnessed it in GOTG previous movies but I don't think he will do justice with the Hardcore DC, Henry Cavill & Zack Snyder Fans.

Why are we celebrating crude language in Marvel? Aren’t these movies meant for kids too? I just don’t think this kind of thing needs to be celebrated, that’s all.
Far worse stuff happens in these movies than swearing. If you're letting your children watch these, swearing should be the least of your concerns.
Not that there's a reason for concern anyway, unless the kids that are watching are really young.

Why is this part of the marketing? Why is this a selling point? Is this supposed to act as a warning for parents inclined to avoid such language when their children are around?

It really wasn't, not a single laugh in my full theatre.
As a parent who has taken my children to see most MCU movies, they are now 14 and 10, I won't be taking my 10 year old to see this movie because of the f-bomb. "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should!"
Also having seen the film myself, the way the f-bomb was used, was really weak! If you were going to drop the f-bomb, there were other more worthy scenes in this movie!

Can't wait to see this. I bet you I end up liking it more than endgame. Cus lets get real... That movie is great and all but didn't do some characters proper justice. Guardians were barely in end game. Same for all who were snapped. Black widow was done dirty. And there could have been better character fleshing out for other characters as well but I can't blame the movie too much... One movie to show off like 60 super heros? Pretty tough task lol. This movie wont have that prob though and hearing gunn say he did allllll of the characters justice? Warms my heart. Can't wait to see this epic movie!
