Excellent tutorial 👌👏🏻
Learn a lot. Thanks
Thank you. This was so informative and so clearly explained. 👍🏽
Excellent tutorial Clifford👍
Thanks for Video. Watching from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Your videos are really informative.
2:45pm Excellent, concise tutorial on how to take portraits, and how to make them better. So much more available, and better, than Photo mode to enhance a photo…
Very well done! Thank you.
Really helpful - thanks!
BarakAllahu fik sick video

Perfectly explained! Eyy
very clear and informative video
Great information!
what wonderful information
Thank you IPPS
Are you editing it with jpg format or any other format?
The photo samples used in this video were Jpegs. :)
Is there a way to present some of these setting on an Iphone 11 Pro so I don't have to go through and make adjustments to each photo manually? Also, are there other Iphone apps for doing more detailed editing to photos (like touch up)?
Yes, it is possible to copy the same edits to other photos. If you have the iOS 16 or 17, you can use this link to learn more how to do that:
support.apple.com/en-ph/guide/iphone/iphb08064d57/ios
You can use apps like Lightroom Mobile to do more detailed editing to your photos. Lightroom offers many powerful tools to get great results.
I love the size of the video. The format. What’s the number?
Is it 9 : 16? Thanks
That's right! That's the format used for this videos :)
Does this editing also apply in regular iphone? Such 14 or 13?
Yes, it does! You can definitely apply these techniques to the non pro models too :)
Hello! I am in the beginner phase learning how to use my iPhone for photography.
I’m very interested in the editing part of this process because when I’m editing, I really don’t know what I’m doing but most of the buttons as far as what the picture is supposed to look like.
This video was super informative. Thank you so much. I do have a question . I noticed you did not use the filter button. I’ve been using it a lot, but it seems to make my subjects look like they’re not themselves. And then when I try to get it back it gets even worse so I have to take all my changes and delete them and start over.
Are those bad to use for portrait photography in general?
Hello! We are glad you found the lesson useful! :)
Filters can be very useful, depending on the look that you are looking for. Those can be used as shortcuts to get a particular look. However, if you believe that none of them are transmitting your intended message, we recommend editing the photo. Our iPhone Editing Academy course teaches how to use Apple's built-in editor and Lightroom Mobile to improve your images. We recommend signing up while it is on sale and give it a try. Similar to the iPhone Photo Academy, you get lifetime access so you can take all courses at your own pace and we also offer a 30-Day-Money-Back-Guarantee. @@iPhone_Photography_School I downloaded Lightroom but I didn’t think I could do very much on the free version. I am on a disability budget, so it is hard to get the paid up and the editing Academy and phone Academy you offer.
It is definitely on my list of halves for the year. Hopefully soon because they look really beneficial.
Thanks for the info as well
@@iPhone_Photography_School oh hey, I did check out the editing school just now. And I saw the option to split the $99 into three payments. Wow that’s wonderful! I hope that you will run another sale soon as I am unable to do that until the beginning of November.
Thank you again and happy snapping
We'll definitely let you know when a new sale is available for the iPhone Editing Academy! We recommend subscribing to our newsletters to be notified. If you wish to get started with editing with an alternative app, we recommend Snapseed. It is also a powerful tool which is available for free on the App Store. :)
Thank you so much for your reply! I do have the app which I’m very grateful for and thank you for your TH-cam channel and the app. In the meantime.@@iPhone_Photography_School thank you so much for your reply
Great lesson. I usually ignore portrait mode. not any more! Thank you
It is a great tool to use! :)
Just learned that today ❤😂
❤️🔥
I don’t get those top left options when I go to edit my portrait photos. I can’t adjust the depth or scroll between the studio light etc… I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max so though it’d be able to do this. I have the options along the bottom but not the top ones you discuss first in the video. Any ideas?
Hi there,
Please make sure the images you are trying to edit were taken in Portrait Mode. If so, the options to adjust the depth control will be available. Please let us know if you need more help!
It’s definitely been taken in portrait mode, it even tells me in the top corner it’s portrait, and is in the portrait folder. But no options like those in top corner when I click edit. I’d send a screen shot but TH-cam will only let me send a video
Feel free to send it to Emil@iPhonePhotographySchool.com. 😊
Can I do this on my Xs max??
Absolutely! Our course is designed to work with all iPhone models. You won't have problems following along :)
Great tutorial! If only the iPhone 14 would not screw with skin texture so much. My old iPhone 8+ produces better images.
Totally agree! I've got that issue with my iPhone 12 and I didn't have it with my iPhone 10🫤
@@firehorse1518 14 is great for video but they dropped the ball on stills.
Thanks @@kenromero9236, I hadn't heard that before- just that the videos were better with the iPhone 14.
Interesting observation...I got the iPhone 14 pro max about 6-8 weeks ago. Still learning, at my age it is a true learning curve. I traded in my iphone 5 SE 2nd edition, so a monster difference. I haven't noticed what you mention about skin tone - but will now look more closely. The 5 SE 2nd Ed. was a really cool little phone - my kids kept telling me to upgrade. Anyhow, thanks and as I use it more with people photos, I will check the skin tone.
my iPhone 14 does not have any of those things - there is no "Portrait" appearing on the editing screen and the icons are all very different

I CAN NOT CROP A PHOTO AND PUT IT ON THE SAME FADED BACKGROUND. Not HOW YOU SHOW IT. explain CLEAR please
Hi there, please provide more details of what you need to achieve. It will help us to provide better guidance.
@@iPhone_Photography_School I am watching your Long Exposure iPhone Photography Advanced Techniques , You are showing to go to settings icon : it’s not found in iPhone 14 , ?
Thanks for the clarification. The settings icon you are referring to is from a third-party app called Slow Shutter Cam (See min 3:54). It allows you to set up your photo resolution, self-time, aspect ratio, etc. :)
cannot use iphone X?!?
Portrait Mode works on the iPhone X models too. Let us know if you need help with it.
