I want to be into Cata so badly but the economy on Mankrik horde and just the *way* people play these days... It's has to be constant progress with no hiccups or you're kicked from the dungeon group. No room for learners anymore.
I run a casual guild on horde whitemane. our best group only has 2 heroics down so far, but we having lots of fun still. learning is our goal since more than half our members never played cata so it’s new fresh fun for lots of us. It may seem like everyone is an elite butt hole these days, but there are lots of dad gamers out here just having fun still. If you wanted to join back i’m sure you could find a group of homies to play with!
The content is solved so not knowing what to do is no longer an excuse. Also most stuff in game is easily affordable just by playing the game. Those giga Chad bis items worth 10k gold on AH won't be the reason anyone fails to clear the raids.
If you join a group with one other person it requires unanimous vote to get you kicked from the group meaning that if your partner votes no you're safe. Put in even a fraction of effort to socialize with other human beings in the game and all your problems disappear in an instant.
You just gotta love that a guy, who fails the most simple things, acts like he owns the whole thing. Been a while since I saw someone with such an overinflated sense of himself without doing anything. How and why is the guild putting up with this crap?

Cata was the expansion that I raided the most, my personal favorite time for dungeons and a couple fantastic raids.
