This has to be one of the best warm up tutorials on TH-cam. You might be able to mix in a few different drills, but to do all this with only a hour is a fantastic demonstration of what can be done in a time restricted window.
If we can get this thing to 5k likes I’ll drop a 3+ hour practice video Thank y’all for all the support on this video! Love seeing the positive reaction to this kind of content.
Practicing with purpose is the key phrase here. I played every day of my life from 12 to 19. I've started playing again this past year at 30 and I'm already better than I was before because I understand the better way to practice and make use of my time.
As a very new golfer this was awesome. I actually have a plan when going out to the range now. I would love to see what a full session without the 1 hour time constraint looks like for you
This was really great to watch. Thank you for taking the time to put this video together, I will try to take some of these to the course the next time I go out for practice.
Love this Ben. Any chance you could give us blue collar guys a 20-30 minute warm up video and what you would do with that amount of time? I golf with guys who think 15 minutes early is too much lol. Keep it up !
I have watched too many videos trying to figure out "the best" range practice, and to have limited time usually this is probably the best routine video i have seen and will 100% be using this for the rest of the season
only 10 minutes in and you've more than earned a new subscriber, bless the algorithm for once. maybe its because i suck at putting but you have already given me so many good things to work on. can't wait to see more!
Went to the range today and although I didn’t practice putting or bunker shots, I’d say it was the best range session I’ve had in a very long time. I set the alarm put the phone away and began playing the course in my head. Picked a target and hit driver, my second shot let’s say an 8 iron. If I didn’t hit a good 8 iron, I’d give myself a short chip to one of the flags. Went through all 18 holes and even had a few balls left over. Thanks Ben!!
I like the thought process behind this for having a practice and warmup routine. I think that my warmup routine is where I struggle and it translates to issues in that days round of golf.
That was sooo excellent! I've always needed a practice routine but never knew it. Hey I gotta tell you that for one hour your practice routine is quite intense. When you said putt 50 balls I said hmmm never counted my putts. I'd say that in reality just before the round lucky I make 10 putts. But I have to agree with you if anyone does your routine as a way to stay golf fit you can't help but improve. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome video. Thanks for putting this out. I typically go out and practice in the morning before work and I am always looking for things I can do in the 1hr to 1hr 30mins I have. I am adding this to my practice routine for sure.
Definitely want to see the full practice routine. I was out of the game for about 15 years until this past season. Next season I’m going to be playing some competitive golf. This season has been just dedicated so lessons and practice.
Awesome, never really knew how to warm up. This helps a lot! I like the Driver into wedge/iron 2x2 and back. So Often I just hit PW-Driver not even thinking about that’s not close to what I do on course
Thanks Ben! Your commitment to taking us behind the scenes into your life is awesome! I've been looking for a practice routine that gives purpose and intentionality to my time hitting balls. I'll definitely be giving this a try!
This is perfect! I was just at the range trying to learn to break 110. Taking lessons of course. You're the best Ben! Great to have this to help supplement my lessons.
Love the 2 balls iron - tee club progression. Always trying to find a way to make practice a little bit more like playing .This is going to be my new warmup before rounds.
Love the tip re chaning from driver to iron. Ques: what swing thought change do you think when switching from wood to an iron? I know the basic setup differences...what whats the key thought?
Phenomenal video! I typically have 1 hour each time I go to the range. This just gave me a very nice road map to follow! I love making practice on the range as real as possible too. Thanks for this video!
Ben - love the videos you produce. The 1 hour practice session video could be a game changer for lots of folks.Keep up the good work and best of luck in the future...
I would love the video with unlimited practice time, or break them into sections, eg. putting, short game, full swing. Loving the vids and your vibe is cool as fuck bro, keep on pumping out the content
Thanks Ben! I have stored this in my phone notes, for which I will need…my phone. So, I can’t adopt your first suggestion until I get this sucker memorized. Great practice plan! Missed you at the Good Good meet up in Frisco.
Ben - you would make a great coach if you want. I really liked this kind of content, how to practice and build routines for amateurs that want to be good at golf with the amount of time that a 9-5 worker, dad, husband etc have. I am looking forward to using this routine to practice moving forward. How would you break down a large bucket of balls at the range for a hour long practice session?
Love this, too often just beating balls or grooving chips after hitting the first several horribly and then griping that I am not getting better cause I have no plan. That or chasing one youtuber to the next and having a different swing every week. lol
I couldn’t agree more with that but on being confident hitting driver. I was slicing last year, worked on some stuff all winter and got fit for a driver and I’m hitting nice tight draws and broke 80 5 times so far, best golf I’ve ever been playing. Love your content, buttery smooth swing 👌
Good video. I am similar but allocate a 60-100 yard block hitting a few shots from two different wedges at each of my stock distances. I prioritize this over hitting a lot of stock iron shots.
+1 on the "don't need to be rich" comment - Lee Trevino played munis in Dallas and El Paso and became arguably one of the greatest to play the game. Good routine tips - especially the putting.
If you’re on the range and just not striking it well and about to go play, what’s your go to drill to get that ball back into the center of the club face?
So you built a practice session on the Pelz short game book? I did the same thing when I was playing to get my handicap down. It works. Very goal oriented. And measurable.
As much as I want to give you shit for using a mirror for putting practice, for real that looks like it would be super useful for me. My 3 to 6 ft % sucks and this looks like a really good way to drill it. Thanks!
Been playing all summer averaging mid 80s struggling off the T-Box. Decided to get help with a swing change for more consistency to break 80. Basically trying to eliminate my hands and have more of a body swing. Took my half formed swing to the course and shot a 110.
I’m gonna make the switch to putting and short game first and see if I can break my plateau I’ve hit. I think I hit too many full shots before chipping and putting and I’m worn out and don’t wanna be there anymore
Hey Ben, in the video you mention you would need to practice for more than 1 hour a day to be the best. However, would this 1-Hour daily practice routine be enough to get someone to become a scratch golfer or would it require more than that?
Question Ben: I’ve only been golfing for about a year and am really working in the fundamentals of my swing. Would you still recommend this hitting routine because I tend to get stuck hitting one club
This has to be one of the best warm up tutorials on TH-cam. You might be able to mix in a few different drills, but to do all this with only a hour is a fantastic demonstration of what can be done in a time restricted window.
If we can get this thing to 5k likes I’ll drop a 3+ hour practice video
Thank y’all for all the support on this video! Love seeing the positive reaction to this kind of content.
Please don't lol. But this was great. Do a series of training videos deep diving into different facets of the game!
Please do a 3h+
Good sir, I do believe this is at 5k likes😎😃
Hey Ben it’s at 5k… drop the vid
@@rosariob1234 already did hehe

been following you on tiktok for like a year and a half, happy to see you doing so good at everything rn. keep killing it ben

Great suggestion!

20:47 thats a brilliant tip, i realised that today at the range and it made me realise what i was doing wrong, i then went on to play my best round 👍
@14:45,
This is the reason I keep A set of Srixon tour divides in my bag. Can't mistake those balls for some else.
i'll definitely add the "driver to iron" practice. it's more realistic, never thought about that! thanks for the tips Ben
21:45.
Usually hitting Driver, 5w to get to par 4s
only 10 minutes in and you've more than earned a new subscriber, bless the algorithm for once. maybe its because i suck at putting but you have already given me so many good things to work on. can't wait to see more!
Ben, your content is spot on. BTS training, golf instruction at the same time. If you document/vlog your tournaments, your Chanel will fly I hope. 🎉
Thanks for this one. I wish more vloggers would drop simple instructional stuff like this. Very helpful to us weekend warriors.
Absolutely love this video, so well done! Great job Ben, the comments are so appreciated!

Amazing video and such a likable personality, thanks for the routine I can’t wait to try it
I like the thought process behind this for having a practice and warmup routine. I think that my warmup routine is where I struggle and it translates to issues in that days round of golf.
definitely need to see an unlimited time limit one. great video!
Absolutely love this video! Would love to have the same routine for a 3 hour or half a day routine 😊
That was sooo excellent! I've always needed a practice routine but never knew it. Hey I gotta tell you that for one hour your practice routine is quite intense. I just put this in my notes and I am going to try it out tomorrow. Thank you for this.
Definitely want to see the full practice routine. I was out of the game for about 15 years until this past season. Next season I’m going to be playing some competitive golf. This season has been just dedicated so lessons and practice.
Thanks Ben! I'm always looking for some advice/help to golf in the low 70's. I'm hoping this gets me into the 90s.😅
Great video, Ben! Love watching your journey. Thanks for sharing your practice with us.
All about the wedge to driver action my man! I'll do about 10 knockdowns w the wedge then 10 fulls then head straight to driver and 3 wood/hybrid work
Awesome video, Ben. Thanks for putting it together. Very practical and helpful for the average golfer, IMO.
im now a plus 50 handicap because of this video
So you were scratch before?
No work son
Better than my 85 hcp 💪💪
Glad I could help
I’m 14 with an 18 handicap
Awesome, never really knew how to warm up. This helps a lot! I like the Driver into wedge/iron 2x2 and back. So Often I just hit PW-Driver not even thinking about that’s not close to what I do on course
Great warm up video thank you for the content.
Great video. I practice way too much ballstriking and not enough short game. These drills will help.
Great stuff. Good insight on how to use your time efficiently.
Thanks Ben! Your commitment to taking us behind the scenes into your life is awesome! I've been looking for a practice routine that gives purpose and intentionality to my time hitting balls. I'll definitely be giving this a try!
Huge fan of changing up the clubs on the range to make it more like on the course. Thanks, Ben!
Great video, rooting for you Ben keep grinding bro💪🏻👊🏻⛳️
Great video Ben. I tried this out today - took me closer to an hour and a half but I move slowly between shots at the range.
This is perfect! I was just at the range trying to learn to break 110. Taking lessons of course. You're the best Ben! Great to have this to help supplement my lessons.
Great to see the actual drills you go thru for practice. Great info for a recreational guy like me. Thanks and keep the drills coming 👏👊
Great video and explanation of each step, you should link what items you’re using to help you practice in the description.
Awesome video thanks Ben. Would love to see all of your other practice sessions and drills in future videos.
Phenomenal video! I typically have 1 hour each time I go to the range. This just gave me a very nice road map to follow! I love making practice on the range as real as possible too. Thanks for this video!
I like this practice session. I think the key is not repetition. Great video.
Ben - love the videos you produce. The 1 hour practice session video could be a game changer for lots of folks.Keep up the good work and best of luck in the future...
Nice one mate, practice with purpose! Something I do not do - until now 🤙🏾
I would love the video with unlimited practice time, or break them into sections, eg. putting, short game, full swing. Loving the vids and your vibe is cool as fuck bro, keep on pumping out the content
Bro this was gold. Thank you!
Going to give this routine a go!
Thanks Ben! I have stored this in my phone notes, for which I will need…my phone. So, I can’t adopt your first suggestion until I get this sucker memorized. Great practice plan! Missed you at the Good Good meet up in Frisco.
I’m going to implement this practice routine before my round tomorrow. Thanks!
Nice video. Thanks man. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thanks for the video. What putting mirror were you using?
Love the practice videos I practice a lot and always get a little lost in what I am doing
Where can I get that putting mirror you used? That is a cool practice tool!!
Great Video . Enjoyed this.
Love this, too often just beating balls or grooving chips after hitting the first several horribly and then griping that I am not getting better cause I have no plan. That or chasing one youtuber to the next and having a different swing every week. lol
Driver in between iron shots! Love it. I thought I was the only freak to do that.
Please do the longer practice video - would be super interest
enjoyed the video thanks Ben
Well done sir! Thanks for your time on this. Great info. Please keep the videos going.
This vlog was very helpful. Thx Ben!
Thank you, Ben. Your videos are actually useful at improving at golf and not just a snippet of what we should do. Thanks again
Great video! Really love to see how great golfers practice. Hopefully more instructional videos come out in the future. (Taking notes
+1 on the "don't need to be rich" comment - Lee Trevino played munis in Dallas and El Paso and became arguably one of the greatest to play the game. Good routine tips - especially the putting.
What do you think about practicing up/downhill putts with the speed drill? Like most people, my worst putts are the super fast or super slow ones.
Great video! Thank you.
I would like to see you get into more of the mechanics of chipping. I'm terrible at the whole process.
what items do you use for everything. for ex: putting aid, range aid (alignment)
legit best "lesson" video I've ever watched. Man, I wish you were sponsored by Tour Aim because I just bought one...
I like your attitude. Keep it up
awesome video. Practice with purpose is the game changer for rapid improvement.
If you’re on the range and just not striking it well and about to go play, what’s your go to drill to get that ball back into the center of the club face?
Ben is such a nerd with golf...and i love it, and am here for it all
Way to keep it real Ben. Thanks for your time
So you built a practice session on the Pelz short game book? I did the same thing when I was playing to get my handicap down. It works. Very goal oriented. And measurable.
Would love to see an unlimited time practice session. Great Vid BTW.
25:08 bit of Scottie Scheffler about ya lol
Amazing Video! I will try this. Thanks Ben.
As much as I want to give you shit for using a mirror for putting practice, for real that looks like it would be super useful for me.
My 3 to 6 ft % sucks and this looks like a really good way to drill it.
Thanks!
Great video. What short putts drills would you have done at the end if you had time?
i learned so much from just the first 10 min of this video. Youre the best ben!
Been playing all summer averaging mid 80s struggling off the T-Box. Decided to get help with a swing change for more consistency to break 80. Basically trying to eliminate my hands and have more of a body swing.
Took my half formed swing to the course and shot a 110.
I've got a question for you Ben. Have you ever read Putting Out of Your Mind by Bob Rotella?
yeah would love to see the full practice video !
I’m gonna make the switch to putting and short game first and see if I can break my plateau I’ve hit. I think I hit too many full shots before chipping and putting and I’m worn out and don’t wanna be there anymore
Damn Bro you pumping out the content. Respect
Thank you Ben!
Where is left eye above the ball? In front of you or between the ball and the cup
Good question! Left eye is directly above the ball. If I dropped another ball from my left eye, it would land on the ball.
Hey Ben, in the video you mention you would need to practice for more than 1 hour a day to be the best. However, would this 1-Hour daily practice routine be enough to get someone to become a scratch golfer or would it require more than that?
Great stuff as always Ben
16:01 Jokes on you I practice out of bunkers all the time. It just kinda happens to be during my rounds.
An unlimited time video would be awesome! Thanks for this awesome video, I really appreciated!
Question Ben: I’ve only been golfing for about a year and am really working in the fundamentals of my swing. Would you still recommend this hitting routine because I tend to get stuck hitting one club
thank you Ben! great video and I will remember the tips here to be better
