- Grannas Racing does it again, taking the overall RWD stick-shift record in the USA in their 1600hp Supra! We've seen this car all over the US this year - working away at that low 7 second pass, and we couldn't be happier to have captured the moment with them in Orlando. Congrats to Grannas and the team on a successful 2019 season, and one HECK of an accomplishment!

I think the 2nd gear wheelie had something to do with the suspension rebounding because he let off and hammered it on again both so abruptly.

My favorite car is the 1987 Grand National and I used to race all the time with mine and out of all of the cars the Supra for some reason I have a soft spot on my heart for those cars I always LOVED watching these race I don’t know if it’s the fact that’s it’s a six but those cars fly down the track and the sound just so damn impressive this Supra is on a mission and he’s breaking records with it god speed

And to think that a guy named Ryan Woon was running 8.6 twenty years ago in his 98 Quicksilver Supra 6spd with full interior.. Watching this makes me realize just how fast 8.6 was 20 years ago.

the clutches made by black magic are whats pushing all these stick cars closer to 6 seconds, Minion set the record in april and i think was the first guy to use that clutch. now everybody is starting to use them and the record has been reset like 10 times this year.

It's incredible to run that fast at a track that has been called Orlando Slipworld by locals since the Supra name plate has existed. I know of racers that would rather go to Bradenton or Palm Beach over ever making a pass at Slipworld.
Not anymore!!!! New management on the track plis the promoters of.the imports events don cut any slack on track prep. Pro mod imports cars runs this track consistently in the 5s without problems

People were complaining about class regulations between v8 and v6 turbo size on TRCs video but it's obviously clear that it takes a outstanding run in anything to set times like these. Bottom 7 second stick shift domestics could run these kinda times if they loosened up the rear and drove it like a man:p or anyone for that matter...

@@FordSuperDeluxe if i am not mistaken, the 1jz head was done in partnership with yamaha, and then the 2jz was made after it by toyota, toyota has pretty strong ties to yamaha, they often do things together, like the the lfa sound, one of the celica's head etc,
