Makes me appreciate the Vanderhall Venice even more. 0-60 4.5 sec, top speed 135mph, weighs 1400lbs, starts under $30k and is American made in Utah. This thing looks like a shoddy video game version of a hacked up Honda civic. I do like an affordable EV with decent range though, so good on them.

Really can't wait for the updated Vanderhall Edison.. it should be pretty amazing.

    How do I buy one

What is it made of primarily? "Some" carbon fiber on the upscale one does not tell me anything. That could be just the glove box cover and the center counsel. Crash testing? How slick is it going through the air?

Is it available now in 2025?

I'm digging the look from the front. I'm digging the look from the back. The same goes for the side. However if you stood next to it and looked down to see it from the top... shudder.
It looks like some funky kind of fishing lure. I dunno what kind of fish you're gonna catch with it, but I'm pretty sure you'd throw it back, or beat it with a baseball bat. No clue on how many people bring baseball bats fishing with them, but to each their own. Maybe we should from now on, that this weapon of fishing tackle gone awry is now available to the public.
As for the crypto, that depends on processing power. If Ant-Man shrunk down a massive supercomputer, then maybe. This is highly unlikely, since Ant-Man is wait for it, wait for it, fictitious. At least Paul Rudd is real, though. We still have him.
Another way to mine would be to highjack other computers. Pretty sure they wouldn't go that rout, ya know, because of the whole white collar jail thing. On the bright side, at least you'd be a moving server wanted for computer fraud.
In other words, you'd be relying solely on the system that runs your tri-bike. That's not exactly a ton of gaming computers networked together. It's more along the lines of a Raspberry Pi.
Long story short (too late), the Aptera may look too much like George Jetson's daily driver, but at least you won't end up with some mutated fish from The Simpsons or Futurama.

Yea, quickly. Big fan of Aptera, might be worth doing a more detailed comparison! Have a good weekend Jeff!

For several years now, this has been a pipe dream. The parent company has been reselling inexpensive Chinese scooters, bikes, E-bikes, and trikes. And over time, the CGI pics moved to an actual prototype vehicle or two. But recently they teamed together with an LFP battery supplier, and Elaphe wheel motors, like Aptera. So they look like they will actually start building (at least the entry model) in 2023. Their entry level Deluxe model seems like a potential competitor to the Aptera's entry model, but seems less practical and capable. The top model seemed like it was only shooting for headlines, and would never be built. Especially costing more than a Tesla Model S Plaid! Seeing that Aptera's AWD model claims to get from zero to 60 in 3.5 seconds, an AWD, lighter Spiritus, with double the HP would be quicker. But I don't think that it will hit 60 in less than 2 sec. First off, they had that spec for the top model long before they had ever worked out the motors and battery suppliers. Meaning that it was mostly just for show. But the red flag was that even with the bigger motors and bigger battery, the weight was the same. The CF body wouldn't likely shed that much weight over the composite shell Spiritus. I wish them well with their entry model, which will be competitive. I cannot imagine anyone ever buying the $$$ model however. And the Aptera's super efficiency, great performance, range, and solar power make each model better than any other EV in this class.

I worked at a company for years that regularly dealt with daymak. They can't be trusted to build a bicycle, let alone a on road vehicle. They're so disorganized and they don't even bother to make parts for their products that literally always break down. We had customers waiting 2+ years to get a simple part, just the worst parts supply I've ever seen lol. Like this company isn't capable of even building a simple electric scooter properly...

I think they look awesome but I mean you get such an incredibly better deal with the Aptera.. I mean it’s like night and day. The range is kind of a deal breaker for me too. And not to mention this has no cargo space

So what's the latest news? Is this becoming a real thing or just a pipe dream?

You can get a model S plaid for less than their Super Duper model.

I'll buy either one if they actually make it to market. Both Aptera and Avvenire have missed their deadlines numerous time. Avvenire with non refundable deposit, sounds like a scam. Reminds me of Elio.

Seeing that neither the aptera or the spiritus for sale (and may never be for sale) it is rediculous to argue about either of them.
With the new electric motor (magnetic flux) these prototypes are obsolete before they are ever in production. It is likely they will never be built.

  • @annonemus21
    @annonemus21 ปีที่แล้ว

they have not even started production. They are still having difficulty getting enough investors.

😂 This thing looks like it's having an identity crisis! The front half looks sports car, the back half looks like a motorcycle crashed into that sports car.
I do love the red safety harness and wish more auto makers gave us flashy accent colored belts.
