@@suppressed_viii For me personally it's easier to get a feel for heavier balls so it's easier to make the switch. You can practice with a cheap ball so you can get more reps in and if you need to switch to a heavier one it takes a few minutes to adjust but then it's easier to get a feel for it.
I use a 20€ ball, very good indoors and outdoors, made by adidas. Idk how to tell if it's made out of plastic or rubber, like the 2$ ones, but although it's grip is really good and it doesn't feel cheap. 10/10
Them plastic cheap balls sound like those kick balls from elementary school. We call those cheap balls finger breakers because they always tend to hit you on the tip of your finger and break them.
I've had like 12 composite leather balls in like 4 years, forgot how expensive it was, but the leather didn't last on mine, some popped in the same month
bro your chucking it onto the edge of the backboard or have massive force against the ball and the floor while dribbling, mine has lasted 2 years and still had amazing feel and grip, i recommend using indoors only it lastes a lot longer
I would reccomend the cheap ball cauze when u get used to avoiding the ball slipping from ur hands while shooting. theres prolly a 0 percent chance of u missing it in a expensive ball
When you know that when you use an indoor game ball outside, it wears down. And when you see that Dexton is using an indoor game ball outside, you realize that he is wearing down an indoor game ball! 😮
I've been using the Spalding Super Tack Pro composite from Walmart. $15. Most of them are good and last long, bounce good too. I'be had 4 of them this year...1 of them was out of round so that's a caveat, but for $15 you get a ball that will last a month or 2 being used every day.

The grip on the expensive one is WAY BETTER. After like a week of use there's no more grip on the cheap ones, while the expensive ones always maintain at least sum grip
One time I had a nice ball and a cheap ball and there was a car at the park that looked like mine and It was unlocked and I accidentally put the balls in their car and then went for a walk when I came back I realized that it was somebody else’s car and they had three out the cheap one and took the nice one home 😂😂😂

Rubber is for outdoors leather are mainly used for Indoors Usually Rubbers are good for beginners and plus if you get used to it you won't have any problems losing the ball when you use leather
I got a basketball for 29- 30 bucks. Pretty cheap but it is super good. The ball I am talking about is my profile picture. I use it as an outdoor ball. As you can see it is a little dirty and wore out but it still has very great grip. It almost always makes a swish and it has a very good bounce. I’ve had it for maybe a year now. I am 9 years old and my hands are small so the ball is 27 inches instead of 29. I used to have a 29 inch ball but I shot it and it landed on a sharp pebble or something like that.
Agreed. I've been shooting baskets for 60 years now (yes, I still get out in my driveway and shoot), and I buy a basketball that feels good in my hand, that would be the Evolution ball. However, if I didn't have the money for that, I'd at least try to find a mid range ball.
Rubber balls and composite leather balls are SO different in feel. Most people will use the composite leather basketball because it will have better grip, feel of the ball, etc. Nothing wrong with the cheap rubber ball, but that is mostly used by beginners who are just starting out or people who can afford the expensive basketball. Either way, remember, it's not the ball that makes you better, its what the player is willing to do do become better.

The cheap ball actually has a good grip once you wear it down a bit. It's lighter so you can shoot around for hours. Just takes some getting used to.
Facts when its fresh out the box it doesn't have grip yet give it 2 days it has grip, I like the cheap one and so does my wallet
The issue with cheaper balls is that it the lower weight sucks for consistency, especially when regulation balls are designed to be heavier.
