You know we’re reaching peak iphone when most creators just complain about the smallest things in a phone. That’s really all I’ve been seeing lately and it just has me scratching my head at times. I totally agree with this video with the phone being damn near perfect. If you think about it there’s only a small handful of little things the phone is missing. For me it’s usb c, multitasking, and a better version of always on display. But we all know all of that is coming in the near future. Smart phones have peaked so early and it was a smart move by Apple to really draw out these feature releases to keep the customers wanting more. On the flip side if you are cool with just keeping the iPhone you currently have, you won’t feel obligated to upgrade every year because it does mostly everything you need it to do already. It will continue to do it just fine for the next 5-7 years.
Exactly. Being over-critical of things like these perfected gadgets “just because” reflects the actual perspective of those who are well-off in society. So many people are living ultra cozy lives of stability that are suffering from mental issues. The bar in which they “feel happy” has been set too high. Almost nothing makes them genuinely content and grateful anymore. And it shows when they complain too much about minute details and exaggerates it.
If you promote a phone as offering an ‘always on’ option that is NOT always on, that’s a lie and should be made clear to anyone considering whether to buy the phone

I totally agree about the current design language of iPhone products (from 12 to 14 series). I hope Apple continues to refine the design without changing it too much. They can keep it for at least another two years while enhancing the iPhone further.

Rocking mine since 3 weeks and happy with it. Did also deactivate always on, somehow not a fan of that feature. Upgraded from an 11pro, had to get used to the look of the new camera, as well did choose the white one, sort of like it. Great review as usual, cheers mate.

I have the 14 Pro Max and I looked at the Dynamic island in direct lighting and noticed that it does look like an i like it was shown in the leaks... pretty cool 😁😍
I picked up the 14 Pro Max, after owning the disappointing 12 Pro Max (after being with Android for years and discovered it was years behind Android in technology and innovation), specifically for the always on display and 120 Hz refresh rate has finally caught up to 2019 Android. I'm happy!

As a long time android user for so many years I switched over to iPhone with the 14 pro max. So far I’ve actually been enjoying the phone. I truly understand now why everyone loves iMessage lol.
Going back to a flat display was kind of weird but it’s actually better a good experience. Haven’t really truly tested the cameras yet outside a few quick snaps. But overall so far I have no complaints about it.
One thing I’ve noticed is how receiving stuff is a lot quicker on iPhone than my Samsung S21 ultra and what I mean is emails, alerts, notifications and etc. definitely way quicker and something I never paid attention to.
He hit it on the head when he said this is almost a perfect phone. As a longtime apple hater I can understand why ppl are stuck into the ecosystem of apple and their products.
Samsung and android if you want to gain me back you need to step it up…

Drives me crazy how every review out there doesnt mention how heavily the front camera edits ur photos after you take them and how blury they are in low light
Yes! The new photo processing on the 13 and 14 often looks like TRASH, especially on human skin and hair. No option to turn off HDR makes my 14 Pro Max 512g feel like a $1500 brick. Rest of the phone is great. Give us an HDR off APPLE!

I’m getting iPhone 14 pro max 256gb. I noticed that 128 is no longer the ideal go to storage. If u even think u are using ur next iPhone for 3-4 years it’s just worth it to spend extra few bucks for 256gb. I’m going with black all the way black iPhone black silicon case and screen protector already have Apple wallet I used with iPhone 11 it sticks surprisingly well
Upgraded from the 12 pro max to the 14 pro and my biggest love is the size downgrade lol. Its so much lighter and I’m really into the smaller form factor

I’m an android (pixel) user currently using the iPhone 14 pro max and honestly i don’t want to go back Android. This phone just feels so perfect and premium that there’s hardly anything close to this in the android world.
Most of people users android’s world never came back if IOS just fill their needs smoother!

Why are the reviewers ignoring the fact that the dynamic island intrudes more into a video more than the notch? Yeah it has fun features but it gets in the way of watching video, which i do a lot of times. It is way below into the screen hence cuts out into the video even if it is not full screen. The notch does not do that. It’s a big deal to me.

I upgraded from my XS only because it was experiencing MAJOR flaws and battery issues, even after a battery change. However, if I’m honest? I liked the island for the frst 3 days. After that ? I barely even noticed it. I for one am looking for the possibility of an ultra device with a refreshed design.

Tbh I got the 14 pro and was bored with it, so I returned it. Then I got the pixel. I returned that. It’s almost as if we’ve reached some kinda tech plateau. Then again, what else can you do with a phone?

There will always be a tug and pull between a feature packed device and the current battery technology capable of handling the load. Apple is definitely improving it’s internals. Although I’m still battling how to properly use MagSafe…safely. I’m learning it’s better to let the phone drain then charge it at the end of the day. I would argue MagSafe is not for frequent users. Not saying it’s a gimmick but my battery life cycle probably wouldn’t be at 88% had I avoided charging and using then charging and using again. These “MagSafe” chargers partner as a phone stand too, which I love but I can’t use it that much, fearing I’ll fry my phone in the long run.

I wish the dynamic island could just appear and disappear depending if we need it or not and not having it all the time taking screen space … you know… like the notch…
Pro raw on this device is what destroys the competition and makes it neat camera smartphone for me bcos I can edit to get a perfect photo. And for video it doesn’t even need pro raw, it kills it with normal video recording burying the competition’s 8k

i turned the AOD off the very first day i got my 14 Pro lol - Never really wanted it as a feature on an iPhone and its way to bright in this iteration.

I’m really happy you have had a great experience with this device me no so much the performance is great when it works right the cameras are great , I just have the worst software experience and function phone being laggy when reading dynamic island moving on its own and vibrating the phone half the distance going black for now reason . Or phone not letting you slide and freezing on one app.

I have both the 14 P and 14 P M for personal and work , they are simply amazing.
But am struggling with battery life even tough AOD was the first thing I turned off since I am not a fan of it.
My previous 13 Pros were battery champs
I have the 14 Pro Max and the batterlife is amazing, I'm a heavy user and i can't simply empty the battery in one day, the battery keeps going on for one and a half day 👀and then I'm left with around 15% battery before I charge it . I have AOD on because how fun is it to see the time date and battery in one glimpse,oh and your dimmed wallpaper too. Apple wouldn't add this to the phone if it should drain to much battery,they are smart . The AOD only uses up to 3% in about 12-13 hours,that's nothing compared to android phones which are using a lot more battery. I'm very happy with my phone ☺️

Which screen protector are you using?
Sadly the only thing they did was to worsen the cameras. HORRIBLE HDR 8/10 times. Crushed blacks/shadows, wrong skintones, and worse flaring than ever. The iPhone 11 takes better photos than the 14 Pro
I'm not an iPhone user, I've never been much of a fan. I like the island thing though - that's at least making use of something that was otherwise not doing anything. I'm glad they made it useful. Hopefully other manufacturers will catch on and do similar things (not creating large notches lol, using the top space for more helpful tasks)
