I installed in the same location but unfortunately when the bed is tilted the plate will hit the tire. It probably needs to be installed further to the right to avoid the tire. Will have to potentially re-install once I receive my plate.
So Blue is tail light power, white is brake light power and black is ground?

If you didn’t want to splice into the harness could just run power and ground to the post under the dash on the defender? Trying to decide how I want to do license plate light. Waiting on my universal turn signal kit to get here. Thanks
Yeah there are countless ways this could have been done. I just let him do it the way he wanted to do it.
