I did the Mana Kai Turtle Canyon sail and it was wonderful! The crew were helpful and professional and the destination did not disappoint. Saw a couple turtles, and a bunch of dolphins on the way out and back.
Are you able to dive under the water a bit or do you have to stay on the surface? If you are able to go down deeper, how far can you go with a snorkel???
If you’d like to go down a bit, you can. You can go down as far down as you can hold your breath. Some people, if they do, go down around a few feet. Some freedivers go a bit farther. With the snorkel on, once it’s submerged, it becomes a straw - yikes! I stayed on the surface for the most part 😊
Has this code for 5% off expired? It doesn’t seem to be working. Love your videos btw 👍🏽 Looking forward to our vacation coming up 😁 I know you mentioned this activity does not include fins/flippers. Do you know where we are able to rent from?
Mahalo! The code only works for select activities. Some of the surf kiosks rent fins/flippers. If you'd prefer to have it all-in-one, some of the other snorkel boats include fins/flippers: th-cam.com/video/hfmNM2RJNTI/w-d-xo.html
We are planning our trip for the end of May so exciting! I have been watching all of your videos. My daughters want to go to the climb works zip line but we won’t have a car, any tips if we take the bus there and back? Thanks for all of the helpful information 🙂
Thanks for watching. And LOVE that zipline. I'd double-check with the company in April. In the past (precovid), they offered a roundtrip shuttle for an additional fee. They might restart that in April after the main travel restrictions end on March 26th.
I'm going to hawaii in April 2023 .. I want to do this BUT , I snorkeled in Key West Florida before and seen sharks .. My Biggest fear , that and snakes. Will I encounter any type of sharks Snorkling there ?
Great news, no snakes on the islands! Sharks are typically up on the North Shore by the shark cage dives. You may see a shark here or there in the Waikiki area (thought it's incredibly rare) but they are typically small ones and friendly reef sharks.
We tried this in 2021 and were disappointed. Turtle Canyon was busy and we didn’t see a turtle while in the water. The crew was young and fun but borderline unprofessional. Unfortunately I could not recommend this company based on our experience.
2021 was a challenging year with staff & Hawaii was still closed for tourism. We only reopened fully in March 2022. It’s also weather dependent too - some days have better viability than others. The most affordable cruise is, as I mentioned in the video, the most no-frills version. Thanks for your feedback & hopefully if you return again, you folks will have a more positive experience! 😊

Hello. Do you know if they have an actual life vest, instead of the inflatable vest? Thanks much!!!
This one is just the inflatable vests.

I do not know nothing about that great to know
So much fun! You'll have to try it sometime! ☀️
What camera did you use to film under water?
I used a GoPro Hero 8
Such a fun video. Watched it 3 times. ❤
Haha such a fun tour! I love snorkeling at Turtle Canyon.

Can you snorkel in Waikiki beach
In Waikiki Beach, the best snorkeling will be offshore at Turtle Canyon. There's not really that much snorkeling along the coastline.
Can you bring your own life jacket for bad swimmers?
Absolutely, you can bring your own life jackets!
I can’t swimming 😩😩
Aww! You can see some from the boat. Another option is the submarine ride. It's 45 minutes underwater and is pretty cool if you can't swim.
