I love the way you so obviously love and cherish your wife and son. You are not only an American HERO, you are also a wonderful husband to your beautiful wife and adorable son. God Bless you and your family!
I love how you are so proud of your wife and not afraid to praise her. I think you totally see her inner beauty. You see the essence of what keeps people in marriage together. It’s not that her outer beauty is the most glamorous in the world, it’s because of her love for you that has made you see what is most important in life and feel loved. Thanks for being vulnerable.
Sorry I didn't finish my comment. You have a very sweet family. I thought I saw on your channel that you were fighting cancer. I am sorry to hear that and I will keep you and your family in my prayers 🙏.
As a 23 retired navy vet who has been to 32 different countries and lived in the cultures of Guam, Italy, Spain, and France totaling 11 years, I appreciate how you respect the differences as I do too. While I was stationed in Guam 83-86 I visited the Philippians the people are wonderful as is your wife. Thank you for sharing your stories with us. Blessings to you and your lovely family.
Hi Bev. You don't know me and that's just fine. 20 year Navy Vet here. Vietnam era. The years you were in Guam, I was in the Philippines. Take care of yourself.
WOW! Kevin your wife is an amazing woman! She speaks as if she were a counselor. A very wise person she is. I love that quote " It's a shame you focus so much on what you lost and aren't able to see and love what you do." Thank you for sharing.
Greetings from NYC! I'm glad you have gained acceptance and understanding to your losses, and you have your beautiful (inside and out) wife and son at your side. Keep on keepin' on as you are!
Homesteading Off The Grid You are quite welcome. I so enjoy your videos. I'm a chef and I'd love to see you wife's Filipino cooking indoors & grilling! Do you help with cooking, too?
Your lesson at the end is exactly what I had to do 5 years ago. My daughter died in my arms 7 years ago, and after spending 2 years in a drug and alcohol induced haze, my wife and children helped me realize they were suffering from her loss too, and that seeing me slowly slip away wasn't fair to them. I had to sober up and accept that the pain of losing her was unfair and soul crushing, but that it was ok to be sad. That I should stop running from the hurt, and embrace it as something that was part of me, but wouldn't define me. And to stop feeling so guilty for the moments I could still find happiness. That was the hardest part. Feeling joy in my life, when I thought I would never feel it again. Feeling like I was betraying the man I was in those moments of complete anguish, by being able to carry on and be happy. Although I sobered up 5 years ago, it's only recently thay I've let myself accept that she would want me to be happy. And that my heart could feel full, even with a jagged hole in it. This is the second video of yours I've commented on today, and I want to again thank you. For your candor and vulnerability.
Thank you for sharing your story with us Rusty. I can't imagine what you went through. My heart goes out to you. Letting me know how this video touched you made it worth make for you alone, if no one else. I'm glad you found our channel, and it's our gain, not yours. Thank you again.
Hello I'm filipina living in Florida 🇺🇸 new subscriber. Thank you for lifting up your beautiful filipina wife. I had a good relationship with my late husband as well. I was only 39 year old when i become widow, he was in the United States Navy for almost 19 years was fatally injure in combat and become completely paralyzed he died 2 weeks before Christmas in 1999. But we had 17 years of good times, we don't have children so just the 2 of as, 4 year of just being a caregiver cuz he won't let anybody touch him but me. We hired a helper to help me and clean our house cuz i can't keep up.But i thank God the VA was paying for it and it help me relieved all the worries and stressed. I knew you were in the Military as well so you know what I'm talking about. Anyway thank you for sharing your story keep it coming! God bless you and you beautiful 👪 family.🙏
Dude your awesome! The end of this video made me cry alittle because I lost my husband four and half years ago do to cancer. Your so right about loving the ones you have in your life now. Peace and love. Thank you so much for your service!!
I usually don't leave comments to video's, but yours drew me in. Your wife Dearly is beautiful inside and out and you are a wonderful man for praising her and your son. Dearly reminds me of my wife Marlene, she was always smiling and laughing and a wonderful loving wife and mother. I lost her four years ago to cancer. I miss her every day. We had the same thing you have and my accomplishments were because of her. She always said I was her rock but she was really mine. She took care of me when I got sick and I did my best to take care of her when she got sick. I will continue to watch your video's as long as I can. God Bless you and your family. Thank you!
What a great life story you have. I lived in the Philippines for 14 years and I can easily relate to the story that you are sharing. You have a beautiful family. Hang on. You are an inspiration to a lot of people.
I enjoyed this post. Ive been a subscriber for quite awhile. The way you speak of your wife, so respectful, full of love. Thank you for showing that its ok to show this.
I am so grateful for your story & info on the people who work the Century Link call center in the Phillipines My electric power was knocked out here in Central Virginia June 20 th. due to an electrical storm @ night. When I called Century Link, the phone was answered by a very nice lady in the Phillipines. She checked as much as she could to see what the problem was & wrote the ticket. After your story, I have an even greater respect for people working in call centers in other countries..
Your appreciation and gratitude for Dearly and Daniel is beautiful. You're right about asian cultures and their faimilies. They have wisdom and philosophy that is beyond a lots of western cultures. I'm an Australian, older female expat, living off my savings in a small village in Bali, with local neighbours....by choice. I want to be amongst people who value whats important in life. I have been here 6 yrs, and as you said there are frustrations etc, but I still choose to be here because of community values. Thanks for sharing you views, wisdoms and appreciation of your family. 😉
Your honesty is refreshing and real. War is dirty, PTSD is real. I believe God gives us what we need. My first marriage of 10 years was a nightmare of abuse. My husband if 18 years now, saved me from myself and continued to love me at my lowest as an alcoholic. I’m 9 years sober. I’m happy healthy and my past abuse and Saudi war no longer haunts me.
Thank you for helping me to be more appreciative. Your talks are very inspiring. Also your wife is such a sweet and very wise lady. I hope you both continue to bless us with your videos. 💕
My father felt the same way after he came back from the Korean war, one day I asked him what was the hardest, he told me seeing your closest friends falling dead next to you and all you could do is keep on fighting...and I told him, your friends wanted you to do, keep fighting and never give up, I was 4 then, my father never spoke about the war again, today he is 95 years old...keep on fighting that is what life is all about...
Appreciate your thoughts......and I agree, let us all be grateful for what we have especially to our loved ones who stick by us through the happy and tough times. Thank you again.
I am a US Army contractor who has a home in ILOILO, PANAY, West Visyas, I love your guys videos. I SECOND and THIRD EVERY word that you said! I lived there for two years on MY OWN MONEY!! You guys are what I want when I get to the point where I can retire/hobby make money!
DEAR TRACY How awesome is it that out of everyone who ever lived and who ever will, it was the two of you that were paired together for that love! It makes such an impact to see you express gratitude for that in the face of profound grief. Bless you!
You are my early morning coffee! Only a few more days. You can do it! We're rooting for you. Dearly is not only beautiful and hardworking but wise too. PS. People's comments/guesses about your job are too funny.
This is so moving, and your wife...I believe you were meant to have her and your son as your best treasures and blessings. I am old enough to have learned to tell those who have "lost" loved ones, "Time is on your side." We often buy our blessings with our tears. And those sacrifices and sufferings reap joy as our losses are returned to us. I know this because I've lived it. You and your loved ones are in my prayers. James 5:16 (second sentence)
You are an enlightened being. It doesn't so much mean your are free from pain. It does mean you accept the pain. And, you can be thankful for the real joy that's possible in life. By the way, I'm not teaching this to you, you are teaching this to me. I appreciate you.
Your wife is gorgeous inside and out...Beautiful family you got there!Thank you for your service sir!My husband is in the Military too...Mabuhay!I rarely comment on youtube but this got me to do it...
Thank you again for sharing... Your honesty and candidness moved me... very few men can do what you have done in this video--- bare your soul and shout to the whole world your love and admiration of your wife and son. Hugs to you, Dearly & the little one. Be blessed always.
Thanks for your awesome story about your family and how your loving and strong willed wife changed your outlook in life for the better. I’m a new subscriber of your Channel and I love watching and learning a lot about your adventures so far as I watch each episode (at least 3 episodes) one at a time. You got an amazing family. With the strong support of your loving wife and precious son, you can keep up your life journey as ease, living one day at a time. Life is short and fragile, enjoy your life and family with much love as life is a precious gift from God.
Just subscribe today, and hearing your story makes me teary eyed, the way you respect our culture the love for your wife, and son, your a great man.God will blessed you abundtly .. you have a good heart...proud filipina here.
My snappy salute for you sir, my fiance is still in the service and i really am tearing when i found u sharing your story. It is good to realise that there is a family to be there throug thick and thin. Mabuhay! God bless your family abundantly..
Good morning, Kevin. What a wonderful story about Dearly! I can tell how special she is to you by the way you're always complimenting her.Its so sweet. Not many men are like that. I can also tell she looks at you the same way. True love is obvious. My family is very close so I can totally relate. Especially about respecting our elders. Please don't let a few trolls ever discourage you from posting these wonderful talking video's. I find them very uplifting. Thank you! Say Hello to Dearly and Daniel 😁 Hope you all have a blessed day.
I don't know how I stumbled on your channel, but I'm so glad I did. I love your stories! Your wife truly sounds amazing, and you're a very lucky man in so many ways. I'm very glad you realize it. Thank you for sharing.
Not sure how I got here, but nice to hear your stories. Like listening to an old friend I have known since childhood! Thanks for taking the time and hope you enjoy the TH-cam family you have here as much as we enjoy being with you!
I am very blessed to hear you about your testimony. I am touch of your love towards your family. I am married to an American . I was never felt love by him. I love him dearly. I was treated like a second hand . You are helping me to heal up with all the pain I go through. He is divorcing me. It's so painful but it is what it is. Keep loving your family. And thank you for choosing the right path and for moving on. You and your family are an inspiration to me.
This is great - nice cliff hanger - you're stories are like the chapters in a book - now I'm looking forward to the 27th too along with you and your family! no no no thank you!
Thank you for telling your stories. I not only enjoy watching your videos but over the last several months you have encouraged me. I have been writing my stories down after leaving my job. I had the opportunity given to me after several years of no longer loving teaching for the political numb jumbo (not the kids). I served my country for 8 years (Desert Storm) & taught middle school & college for 15 years. Too early to retire but old enough to want to be happy. Thank you for your encouragement. God bless you & Deary & your son.🇺🇲
Just found your videos. Thank you for your service. I love you and your family. Thanks for sharing. You have an amazing home! I am praying that my beautiful wife, my beautiful son, and my beautiful daughter might have our homestead soon. (In God’s timing) Please keep doing these chats as long as you keep enjoying them. They’re great!.

If anyone is offended by this they are not really listening to what you're saying, love the channel you have a wonderful home and a great family you should be proud. Big fan from England
37K! I love watching the number climb. Thank you for your vulnerability. It touches our hearts and I may have teared up today... Congrats on your sobriety and getting off opioids. That is a huge deal.
Are there blackberries up there? The scenery is exquisite. I can't wait for the next week to be over for you and your family. Lovely to check in with you daily.
Filipina married to a vet here also. I can relate with what u have mentioned about the life in the Phils. Oh yes those qualifications in hiring people in there is so true. But u are right Family is really very important in the Phils. You have a wide property...I love it because I do gardening here in Florida too. Your wife's vlog with ur son picking the zucchini, squash, and okra was the 1st time that I've seen your channel. God bless your family!
Dude...that was an awesome chat. I am a New Zealander and married to an Indonesian, and we live in Australia. What you said about life in Asia is so very true, and what you said about love and family really rang bells with me. I've been married more times than I ever wanted, but now I really understand what the meaning of 'family' REALLY is. Its not about a group of relatives all knowing who and what they are and how they are connected with you, its about how they will always be there when you need them, and even when you don't. Its about believing in you and seeing things you don't see within yourself; its about looking after everyone and not about just oneself. I think the western culture is so far off the edge that it has forgotten about what the balances in life really are. Hubby has found that his (and other Asian people's ) attitudes towards living in the 'great western countries' is so much different than they ever imagined and it has disillusioned him about the western culture, particularly the people. He doesn't understand the selfishness of our western culture and he doesn't accept that we should focus on ourselves. He has taught me so much as well...and as much as I'd love to live in his culture, I couldn't stand the heat. We are poor people by western standards, but we still manage to support his family back there because they do not have all the advantages that are available here. I get free health care here, but he doesn't (because NZ and Australia have a special reciprocal agreement in a lot of areas, healthcare being just one). That is because the government here refuse to help LEGAL immigrants like him. Refugees here get everything for free; car, house, food, medical, dental, you name it...but legal immigrants who work for pittances, get no considerations, so yes, I am seriously hearing you. I am not bitter....just aware, and SO grateful to have found a man who cares for me so much.
I love it! Real men love their wives and recognize how truly amazing God created her to be. Thank you for this refreshing view of marriage and thank you for your service to our country. From one veteran to another. ☺ Manny, the Yup Yup Man, I can get it done! I'm back after writing the above comment. I retired from the Air Force after 21 years in 2006. I currently have been working for the U.S. Govt for 8 years, but I am so miserable. I just found your channel. I thank God for you because I am worn down like a pencil nub. I am planning to retire early but the mental health has taken its toll. Bully boss that I react in negative way, by shutting down and keeping it in. I found your talks refreshing, like I found a brother. I know God led me to you.
I found your channel by chance as I came here from gardening videos, but I am glad I did because I find your content so refreshing to watch. I feel a sense of gratefulness that there are still people in the world who look at things the way you do, because seeing most people living in first world countries and swimming in selfishness nowadays makes me rather sad. thank you! - 17 year old from England
I am addressing the man who makes these videos directly. I find you to be an excellent spokesman for enterprising former U.S. Military soldiers (veterans) of whom I am one. You bring out the wonderful aspects of common things (like gathering nuts) in life and the difficulties encountered when dealing with abrasive and at times nosey neighbors. I also feel another link with you as I have been married to my wife, who was born and raised on the Island of Cebu in the South Philippines Islands, for 31 years at of this coming January 9, 2019. I'm a generation or so ahead of you in age, as I'm a Nam combat veteran but I feel the issues you bring up regarding "blending back into civilian society" after having served in war zones to have a universal aspect to them, as far as veterans who have served overseas. I worked as a job I disliked intensely in order to be supportive to my wife in order that she could attend nursing college while we lived in Hawaii and she is now one of the top registered nurses in Stockton, California where we have lived for the past 11 years. I will follow your great videos. Aloha and good luck to you and your wonderful family as you "homestead" your six acres of Virginia land! StocktonRob
~~Great Video~~ You are a wonderful husband for always speeking about your wife in such a respectful, loving way and you already know this of course but... You are truly blessed to have your sweet wife, son and a beautiful homestead for all of you live and grow on. I enjoyed the video as I do all of yalls videos. ~~God Bless~~
Sad, a man is nothing without a woman? So you were nothing for the majority of your lives? Mama's boys, Men stand alone and women come and go. Wait until yours go. Then again you will be nothing. Filipina women are not designed to be large like Latinas and Western women. I have never seen one that large and I was raised around both Tagalog and Ilocano, in their native environment. Gather your strength from yourself, women come and go as they feel and their emotions that control them. You guys need to grow up and be real men,
koscashcars oh wow!! Well I have been there. And I did pick myself up by my bootstraps and moved on. Found an amazing woman just like this gentleman did. Sorry you were so burned as I was. But there are good women out there. Good faithful loyal women. God-fearing woman who have morals and values. Not all women are flippant. Just the dumb ones who do what they want because it feels good. I just think it's great to see a man adore his wife. Because there are a lot of men who do not. A lot of men who abuse their wives emotionally mentally and physically. But our ladies make us want to be better people, better men, better fathers. That... Was my point.

I`m so thankful that there still are people that still think family are important, my family dont feel that way about me, and I`ve always felt God and family are it with me, I just ended up with one that dont share my views, how sad !! God bless you and your family, sincerely Rose, its the first time I`ve seen your video, thanks for your service to our country Sir !!

What a beautiful tribute to your wife. I think so often these things are left unsaid. You are both lucky to have one another. Thank you for sharing. I'm a new subscriber and I enjoy your thoughts and perspectives.
You're right about it being dangerous to mow on uneven land. Less than a year ago, a guy I went to high school with got killed when his tractor turned over, mowind the ditch! Only takes s second to flip a mower. YOU be careful too!
I was an HR manager and it is against the law for mandatory work after 40 hours. It's also not allowed to penalize u based on health. Major red flags with the management. Definitely grounds to be fired. Are they like the VA was, that you can't fire bad employees? Needs major overhaul
Love your talks. I am from the South Pacific from the island of Samoa. The Filipino culture is a lot like how we care for our elderly back home as well as Samoan families now living in the U.S.A
I love the way you so obviously love and cherish your wife and son. You are not only an American HERO, you are also a wonderful husband to your beautiful wife and adorable son. God Bless you and your family!

Our greatest gift in life is love that comes from our family. Americans have lost the gift in a sea of greed. Look through the eyes of another.

DEAR TRACY J sorry for your loss my love
DEAR TRACY
How awesome is it that out of everyone who ever lived and who ever will, it was the two of you that were paired together for that love! It makes such an impact to see you express gratitude for that in the face of profound grief. Bless you!
Sorry for your loss. Hugs.
gingergaluk thank you so much!
I enjoy our talks my friend and thank you for all you have done
Thanks for taking ur time to watch my video Joe.
You are my early morning coffee! Only a few more days. You can do it! We're rooting for you. Dearly is not only beautiful and hardworking but wise too. PS. People's comments/guesses about your job are too funny.
Yeah trust me i can't wait for the revelation too. Thanks Vicki.

We fallow y'all now. Learning from you as we are homesteaders now.
Love the chats
Thank you Rob.
(In God’s timing)

37K! I love watching the number climb. Thank you for your vulnerability. It touches our hearts and I may have teared up today... Congrats on your sobriety and getting off opioids. That is a huge deal.

You're a good and decent man Kevin and you an equally great woman by your side.
God love you both.
You are so authentic and heartfelt and I so appreciate you sharing. Thank you!
I'm a Vietnam Veteran and I salute you for you being a vet! You were an officer, right? My son was in Iraq also.
So true, family comes first. I'm married to an Italian and that's their motto. Hang in there, seven more days!
Never stop "rambling" it is nice to get a fuller picture of what you are expressing :) blessings to you and your family
You are the luckiest man in the world to have a wonderful wife that loves and believes in you Kevin God bless you both
I knew you were a brother-in-arms as soon as I saw your face. You are a GENTLEMAN, and you are a great role-model for men everywhere.
StocktonRob
Great spot mate. A good place to set up a small business.
~~Great Video~~
You are a wonderful husband for always speeking about your wife in such a respectful, loving way and you already know this of course but... You are truly blessed to have your sweet wife, son and a beautiful homestead for all of you live and grow on. I enjoyed the video as I do all of yalls videos.
~~God Bless~~
You are SOOO right!!! Even God took a day off after a work week!!!
And I think it's awesome that you love your bride so much. We are nothing without our ladies.
Amen.
Thank you Rob.
I enjoyed your talk and good luck to the three of you.i have no family now or friends as im 59 and sill hanging in there.
You're so amazing. I just found y'all's channel this morning about leaving your postal job👌🏿 I'm 30, considered a "millennial" but I absolutely love what you have to say, I love y'alls little family!!! Hugs from Oklahoma

You're right about it being dangerous to mow on uneven land. Less than a year ago, a guy I went to high school with got killed when his tractor turned over, mowind the ditch! Only takes s second to flip a mower. YOU be careful too!
Thanks for the advice Marcy.
You are an inspiring gentlemen. A former member of our Armed Services who deserves to live a happy and prosperous life on God's land.
You have a beautiful family, god bless you and all your family x
I love your show especially how you put your wife first
I was an HR manager and it is against the law for mandatory work after 40 hours.
