I love how anytime it's time to play some weird ass unplayable deck, you just call Joseph and you're like "Hey buckeroo, how does this work?"
And you just get the deep sigh and "...Work is a strong term...but I do know how."
At this point MBT is just a walking Help Section for Coder
MBT and Hardleg are two people who have a pretty crazy breadth of yugioh knowledge alongside duellogs and GoldenNova since all 4 of them have had content where they end up reading a lot of cards and duellogs loves gimmick/bad decks

To clarify a bit
Master Duel always calculates "Final Blow" based on the difference between your monster's ATK and your opponent's monster's ATK (if you're attacking an Attack Position Monster), or solely your monster's ATK (if attacking directly)
All other variables, including piercing (when attacking a Defense Position Monster), double damage, or in the case of Superheavy Samurai, using DEF instead of ATK, are not considered when the game decides whether or not to display "Final Blow"
So in this case, Susanowo has only 2400 ATK, whereas Verte has 500 ATK, your opponent had 2000 LP. 2400-500=1900, which is less than 2000, therefore the game does not see this as being the Final Blow, even 'though you do win anyways
Very similarly, it *will* display "Final Blow" if your monster's ATK is greater than your opponent's LP while attacking directly, even if an effect like Waboku is active that would prevent you from dealing battle damage, or if an effect like Pot of Prosperity is active, which would halve your battle damage

Yeah, the Final Blow text is purely based on ATK, so it can show even if you have a half damage restriction from earlier in a turn. Because it's not like you could just see a few steps ahead into how much Battle damage would be inflicted if nothing happened
I can't wait for the new support in CYAC tbh, the deck becomes pretty strong. It can now FTK and set up a decent.board, in archetype they can set up dweller + a card of demise + some other stuff off the singular pendulum monster
I play SHS and yeah, they don't make Final Blow appear if the ATK POINTS are lower than would cause a fatality, not accounting for the DEF points at all. I brought this up to Konami long ago, and they acted as if I was an idiot, probably because the one who responded knows nothing about SHS.

I still cant figure out how to make an endboard that doesnt leave me dead to everything, but GOD is this deck fun to play
They can make Apollousa. If Scarecrow is in a MMZ, it can be IP fodder.
It's a 2nd turn deck but there are a few things like flute and idr what wlse

Terror continuous spell card that increases your attack and defense by 1500. Subterror UR 4 star monster that flips your monster face down. Also the xyz card that can flip your monster face down. Combo. And with the super heavy samurai monsters they’ll get boosted once flipped face up. You can also use book of moon variants.
I'd love to watch Coder play Magikey. It might be new, but its one of the most fun decks to play, even if its power level isn't the same as some of the other meta decks
Vepartu searching Goldriver to pop Platinum Gadget to ss Cyberse Gadget from deck is pretty fun.

I cant believe someone other than me made the deck on masterduel. I love how unique way the deck plays and its hard limitation it has. Very fun but you certainly take Ls lol

There is something inherently satisfying about landing a 9600 def attack with Train + Gauntlet

This might not be the most broken deck around but it sure is one of the most hilarious. Not being able to run backrow in the traditional sense limits this deck quite a bit, but it has some nifty quirks to get help get around that a little. Deck is a basic Synchro+Pendulum setup with a bunch of equip monsters that simulate some important effects.

Fuckin thing was a straight up OTK machine in DL, and its just enough recurrence to keep it bothering you

When the Samurais are Heavy sounds like a parody movie about a group of sumowrestlers learning how to fight as true samurais xD.
The reason final blow doesn't show up is because the game just compares attack stats, but the SHS cards use their defence.
I remember Battleball is my first royal in Master Duel. But I dismantle it because I need a sacrifice for my lolies Traptrix. Actually, I have "bad experience" with Superheavy Samurai because I as a kid always losing when facing that deck in Arc-V game.
Little tip maybe run super heavy samurai soulclaw and magnet because soul claw makes it so your link monster super heavy samurai scarecrow doesn’t die in battle and you don’t take battle damage so yeah and magnet is a good wall if you can get two out at once

I remember making this deck when I first EVER played yugioh in ygopro, and I've made it in MD cause it sticks so close to heart. People will tell you its not strong, and they are right but it makes it SO MUCH MORE SATISFYING if you beat someone with it :3
As far as equip cards go, “Spike Shield with Chain” is pretty f*ckin cracked with Superheavy Samurai

Funnily enough, there's another situation where the final blow effect doesn't activate even if it is game, which is with pierce damage! I know from my brief Buster Blader experience

I swear casual duel is a containment zone for Hero players. Any time I want to play a shitty pet deck I almost exclusively get matched against Hero decks.
well tbf, Hero is like the most competitive non competitive deck ever + timmies need to combo off every once in a while aswell

I used to play super heavy samurai before duel links came out on another duel simulator. It is an odd deck that has some amazing funny moments.

swap flutist for trumpeter and add big waraji and a second STK for STK Turbo. Plus benkei is at 2, half your special summons will likely be from deck or from ur like 3 searches. Also I swear to God if I see this man play Sekka and then try to Peacemaker im gonna cry. The level 6 synchro is monster form duster. Always run 2.
This deck is a lot stronger than ppl think of, when the new support while come, oh boy people will be surprise, they can do amazing going 1st boards !

As superheavy samurai is my main deck, i can say the play can be pretty braindead. But it’s so fun and simple as an archetype compared to most. Crazy enough to otk if the cards are right
Like, you go against an archetype that takes half of their deck to bring out a big monster with big stars and meta effects when that card is on the field.
Kaiju summon, N summon Battle ball. Let me borrow your monster for a synchro summon. Use effect. Equip battlehorn. Gg lol

there is a way to end turn one with 2 negate by mix the deck with other machine monster
duel links is the exact same. Characters will only say their finishing lines if the monster is in ATK position.
