@@joanaguayoplanell4912Weather Painters definitely take non engine but the second they live a turn they pop off. Nowhere near as bad as Muskets lol.
MM needs a quick play that allows you to reveal a muskeeter monster in your hand and its effect becomes the quick play's effect
MM needs a card that adds MM monster, because it has potencial
They need a quick play protects your musket, and can't be negated, maybe something like a silent sword slash, 1500 boost becomes unaffected and can't negated .

@@milesandrews6711 starfire/kid/caspar are supposed to be your turn 1 "big" plays, but the deck has no way of consistently getting to them other than praying to draw them and a good ratio of spells/traps that are usable on turn 1

Runick musket is probably the best way to play musket atm. Just cause the runick spells can trigger your muskets and the draw power helps a lot. Plus the muskets can chain block for runick so its pretty nice.
And it's still the worst version of Runick so ...
@@claire6452 I've still slapped Swordsoul, Branded Despia and pure Runicks, plus back row heavy decks like Labrynth or Eldlich activate my effects for me.
Is it less consistent than pure? Yeah, but it also has the better plays to make up for it, and it generates card advantage like crazy. Normal Runicks can't deal with things like cosmic cyclone while this variant can, plus you still go into link plays and allows you to chain block which Runick really needs.

A good musket build is runick musket...it does exactly what you want. And sure, it's runick, but for once, it's not bad or floodgate turbo. Control deck as you aren't otking at all even normally, and runick is free stuff with muskets.
The only "problem" I see is having to choose between summoning Max or a runick monster
@@adrisedona there's no issue most often because you run also monster gates, you can draw into it via fountain, tribute off the monster in the emz, mill and summon another musket all while gaining advantage
@@giorgiostegher5504 Thats actually really smart. It also would help with their normal summon dependency since now you have a way to special a main deck musket without getting solemn'ed.

You could run ultimate slayer and super poly , so you can poly the fusion, and play the predaplant monster that searches the super poly
Runick Musket is insane draw power
there is a reason why at first people thought musket is crazy and then played a singular game with it
MM isn't an easy road to diamond. Definitely needs an excellent pilot

And here I was considering making a musket deck after seeing a pretty good demo of its board control with handtraps. Guess if I wanna play that kind of control I may as well play Traptrix honestly
You gotta play at least 1 master mind and wild in a pure musket, as master mind can be summoned off of max and allows you to draw for each musket spell/trap used on your opponent's turn and wild let's you shuffle extra copies of stuff in gy to draw 1 to maximize the long game. Honestly should play runick with muskets as both cover each other's weaknesses and have INSANE grinding when it pops off

Runick Musketeer is definitely a way better way to build it. The going second build is not good anymore cause of meta shifting. Eventually, you can also play Eldlich Musketeer, but to each their own. Runick version is busted

I like musket runick control. Bit of a clash between max and runick summons, but otherwise I like how runick covers for a monster drought, while musket gives runick board presence. Definitely not op but I find it more fun than straight runick

I love this deck but unfortunately it's missing a lot of support the deck pretty much looses to a negate which is kinda sad
if they pop your normal summon with anything you just lose
Pair it with Runick, it covers the MM's weaknesses and becomes a menace.

When I first bought Muskets irl i realised they can't work alone so I just added a Dogmatika engine with winda and 3 link in to the vrains, 3 dark ruler no more, for my quick boss monster to spawn in I added BLS of Chaos and I always started on the 2nd turn. This deck worked when I was using it against Tearlaments at the end of 2022
Yall just doin it wrong. Tech in a photon lead or two and that helps you get around your normal summon getting negated and starts a combo string depending on which names you start with. My pure musket version dunks runik at a decent rate and does good into Swordsoul and Despia if you go first and have a decent hand. It's still Rogue by a long shot but it isn't bad if you run it right🤣

I just remember that Mekk-Knight Musket list that only failed to make day 2 of a giant YCS because of a weird technicality (not winrate).

i think you need to play 3 upstar goblin for the deck , i face it a few times and they always trigger muskets effects with that card

I am 100% sure the twin player just didnt know how to play against musket because basically the same thing happened to me first time I faced musket with twins
I mean to be fair coder when your decklist is causing you to only draw spells and traps you might wanna go back to the drawing board. I made this deck a while back and it helps to run stuff like imperm since you can trigger your monster effects while also negating your opponent

I recently wasted 3k gems building magical musketeers cause i thought that even if they are powercrept i can just combine them with runick but then i found the hard way that that deck is even worse than pure mm. Now I am coping that I can combine MMs with labrynth (they have to do with traps and also summon fiends) but this might cost me like 3k more gems

Had I been there I would have suggested Infernoids after he asked for a deck that's topped at some point int the last few years because while I can't remember if they've actually topped, I do recall they became pretty viable at some point in a TCG format a few years ago sometime around when Drytron got good or just before.
infernoid is very fragile I love the deck to death but ash is the bane of our existence
They got a few back in 2017, 60 card infernoid zoodiac with grass won US nats that year I think
