Many thanks for taking the time to show a newbie like me how to stack individual frames to make an AVI to process my moon shots thru AutoStakkert4 then sharpen in Registax6. I am just starting out with a old Celestron C90 scope and for the first time I am happy with the end results. Like you said more frames make a huge difference.
@@FLHTdriver I’ve now(mostly) switched to video for lunar, solar, and planetary imaging to get the most frames I can and stack a small percentage of the best ones. If I’m using my dslr, I’ll still just manually take as many photos as I can. It makes a BIG difference!
Thank you for taking the time to put this together. I've been bouncing around various Lunar processing videos and it's great to see all the perspectives out there. I'm glad there are folks like you willing to share their knowledge.
Thanks! I learned most of this stuff by watching TH-cam! Its fun to apply different techniques and see different results on photos. I used to only use Registax, but after watching other videos, I started using Autostakkert in the mix as well.
I just read that the site may be down. You could try searching for PIPP and wayback machine to see if they have relinked it. I had to download another older program that was no longer supported by Microsoft using Wayback.
Are your moon photos tracked? You can try bypassing PIPP unless you have to use it. I mostly used it to do batch conversions. I have not used it since I made this video, mostly just use Autostakkert now.

@@swis4 it could be something in your output settings. You could check to see if there is a bayer matrix that needs to be checked or unchecked.
