Another thing for those starting from scratch: most of us who are into astrophotography are laid back and easygoing. We enjoy talking to people about the gear and processes of how we achieve these pictures. I enjoy it when someone wants to stop and talk the equipment and about what I'm doing. Used equipment is definitely a smart way to go starting out, and work yourself up to newer as you go. Keep the great videos coming!
I just discovered your channel and I appreciate these long videos. I got a Seestar less than a month ago and I'm already looking at upgrading to the more expensive Skywatcher GTI setup you got there. lol lured
I've been really impressed by the SeeStar and it would have been my next purchase, but charging port on my old StarTracker Pro detached from the logic board and ended up getting a SA GTI. I'm still waiting for some clear skies to give it a go. I live in a Bortle 9 area, so the duel band filter on the SeeStar might have saved some gas money.
You’ll definitely want a good filter in Bortle 9. I can drive about 45 minutes to a Bortle 3, but I rarely pack my gear up and travel like I used to when I first started Astrophotography.
@@AstroDanno...I got a used camera that I had astromoded earlier this year and have been pleasantly surprised with the results even here without a filter. That said, darker skies are only about 2 hours away.
First off, your a goofball, and I'm fat and out of shape too! I love it! Don't change. Secondly, unless the consumer is destitute, BYE the Rokinon 14mm!!

I got a pretty good deal on my 6D and 2 lenses back when I bought it, but the camera is even cheaper now because it’s as old as the Grand Canyon! 😂

Thanks! Astro already got its hooks into you! It happens to the best of us! 😂
Great review Danno! I love that Pano in the background too, that looks like a tutorial episode in the making (hint hint) 😅
Thanks, Si! It’s been a while since I did that panorama. I’ll have to try that again when Milky Way season comes back around!
@@AstroDanno I think we have Milky Way season down under in Australia 🇦🇺 most of the year
@@Si-fp2ij and it’s upside down! 😂 Y’all have a much better view of the core than we do here!
@@AstroDanno Man I wish I had access to the gear you guys do though 🤣 actually maybe it’s better I don’t 🤣 I’d be broke
@@Si-fp2ij I’m seriously taking a break from gear buying. It’s gotten ridiculous! There’s more stuff I want, but it’s gonna have to wait! 😭😂

@@billinglendaleca5093 I’ve shot without filters in my front yard(Bortle 5) and it can work. I just do shorter exposures.
I feel ya brother !!
The sad part is, they keep coming out with new stuff! 😂
@@AstroDanno I know right? There’s even a voice telling me to get a Seestar when they are available here 🤣
@@Si-fp2ij they are in stock here, but I’ll just have to wait. 😂

😂 love that lens! Still using it after all these years! And the diet starts after the holidays(I say that every year) 😂
Only our generation will understand the WWF voices!
They need to say their prayers and take their vitamins, brother!
