We tried Ted Drewes in our second Missouri vlog, as well as explored castle ruins and springs: th-cam.com/video/Il4-ckugFtE/w-d-xo.html NOTE: We got approval from the Gateway Arch to film this video and share it (with ads) without obtaining a commercial filming permit. Safety is our #1 priority and we want to stress that this adventure, and all future adventures, will be done responsibly and with the health of others in mind. Here are the steps we are taking everyday, including in these videos: 😷Masks and face coverings. We wear these anytime we are near others outside and especially indoors. If we don’t have a mask on in a video, it’s 99% because there was no one around. ⏰ Exploring early. We normally start at sunrise anyway because of less crowds, but especially so with COVID. We have been starting our days before sunlight so we can limit our interactions. 🧼 Washing and sanitizing our hands, especially after touching anything outside of the van. 🚐 Being in the van 95% of the time when we’re not filming. The adventures we share are a small sliver of our lives. We are staying in the van all day everyday when working and the only time we leave is to do laundry, get gas, or go to the store. 6️⃣ Keeping our distance. We are trying to stay at least 6 ft from others, which truthfully isn’t always possible (and then we make sure we cover our face).
The Arch grounds have changed so much in the past 10 years. It didn't use to be that nice. Also, I'm a general aviation pilot that lives in St Louis. The Arch is pretty nice to look at on a fly-by. Happy travels!
I've always said that St. Louis is one of the most UNDERrated cities that there is. So much to see and do, and so much of it is FREE! I love this city!
Such a cool city! We cannot wait to go back in more normal times and check out the City museum and a bunch of other spots! What are your favorite places?
I was there in 1963 when they put the final section of the Arch in, magnificent view. Toasted ravioli was one thing I missed when I left St. Louis and explored the world for 20 yrs in the Navy. Now I'm in KC and I do like our BBQ here using St. Louis cut of ribs of course.
Glad you enjoyed your way too short of visit to the town I have lived all my 62 yrs.. Next time plan on at least a week or more in STL and surrounding area. The zoo is the only free zoo in the nation and the Muny Opera has multiple rows of free bleachers at the top ! Great floating streams and camping in SW Mo.. The list goes on and on. I have only went on a few vacations outside of Missouri because I haven't seen all the great beauty in my home state. Another STL area food is BBQ Pork Steaks ! We cut whole pork shoulder into steaks cook them low n slow for a few hrs. Then lather them in great sauce ! 1st time viewer and gonna hit the subscribe button !
Saw your second comment before this one Dave, but so glad you found our videos and thanks for the STL ideas! We definitely want to come back and explore more, there is a lot to see and EAT! 😋🙌🏼
So many great shots of the Arch! Surprised to learn that the Arch was a National Park. After watching this episode, you guys did such a great job highlighting it. Now we know why it's a National Park. Very cool!
100% agree with talking to rangers at National Parks, I've learnt so much from them and they're so lovely and knowledgeable! Eiffel Tower might be taller but the lift up is boring in comparison to the tram you guys went up. I had no idea that was inside it and I had no idea it was a National Park rather than a monument. Love that you guys were able to get permission to film at the National Park without needing the commercial filming permit. 👍❤️
We were so happy they not only let us film, but gave us an extra cool experience with the ranger! He was so knowledgeable and gave us such a better insight into the city and monument than if we had gone on our own. The ride to the top was so cool! We had no idea what was inside of it either and it was just so much fun, even if it was tiny haha
Yes my city!! I love St. Louis. Pappy's Smokehouse is amazing, and I love toasted ravioli but I've never had it from Mama Toscano's!! I will definitely have to check that place out! I'm glad you guys enjoyed your time in STL!
We lived in St. Louis for a few years when I was in Grad school. Many miles of running around Forest Park. Ted Drew's is great, Mr.Wizards and Fritzs were another couple custard shops around the area. Pointers Pizza, Shamus McDaniels. Mom's Deli. The list goes on and on. I'm salivating as I type this. You could spend a month there and have so much to try. We hope to go back for a food vacation someday. All so good and I miss having toasted ravioli on a regular basis. Yum.
Love this vlog of my hometown and how beautifully you have captured it, especially in the fall. Two places I would highly recommend: Salt 'n Smoke (bbq), Union Loafers, Patisserie Chouquette (across the street from Union Loafers) for baked goods and Ted Drewes for frozen custard. Safe travels!
We are so thrilled to see you guys enjoy your day in our town! You must visit again and see all the wonderful free things we have to offer...Zoo, Museums, Gardens, etc. Also, there are many more goodies for you to eat!
PAPPY'S ROCKS!! If you come back, just 20-miles east in Collinsville, IL you might think about a visit to Kruta's Bakery. They've been baking since 1919. Best donuts I've ever had. Also, The Hill is where Yogi Berra and Joe Garagiola are from - baseball runs DEEP in St.Louis. Thanks for posting!!
I was a young girl when they built the Arch. We watched updates on the news every evening and saw how hard it was and they had to be so precise! No one got injured either
Wow, that is incredible! And I remember the ranger telling us they had predicted 13 people would die (kind of a morbid prediction!), but no one did. Amazing!!!
Salt 'n Smoke is awesome. Their mac 'n cheese is an experience all its own. Cannot pass up the opportunity for some Ted Drew's frozen custard. A St. Louis staple and best ice cream experience you will ever have. I recommend one of their concrete. Toasted ravioli are little pillows of love.
We really want to try Salt 'n Smoke next time! And we did grab some Ted Drewes, which we had in our next vlog: th-cam.com/video/Il4-ckugFtE/w-d-xo.html It was super good! Although, I don't think anything can beat Clementines! Have you had Clementines before?
I love St. Louis! You must visit the Missouri Botanical Garden and the City Museum ( an incredible, hands on, exploration adventure) on your next time through the city. Finish your visit with a scoop of Ted Drewes frozen 🥶 custard!!!
Stay tuned for our next vlog! We may have picked up some Ted Drewes before heading out! 😉 We are dying to visit the City Museum! At the top of our list for next time!
Glad that you all were able to go up in the Arch. It was closed when we visited in 2018. We did tour the courthouse as it was a temporary visitor center & really enjoyed it. Safe travels
Enjoyed your video of Saint Louis- lived there and love it! My home is Texas but I am a Cardinals fan for life. Look forward to seeing more vlogs by y'all.
OMG, when I went through St Louis this past September, I stopped at Mama Toscano’s and got some toasted raviolis. I didn’t remember that you went to this place also. I was looking for an original Italian place and just picked that one. It was so good.
Love your videos! Excited to see you were in my hometown. Agree with other comments about City Museum being a must see. An indescribable, whimsical playground for all ages!
I was catching up quite nicely with your videos but I take one small break from TH-cam and go on vacation and now I am even further behind by at least 10-15 videos. Looks like you two have been busy. Can’t wait to check the newer stuff out when I get to it. But that has nothing to do with this video. Great job presenting St. Louis and those food choices looked delicious. I think St. Louis may get overlooked but it really does have a lot to offer. As always, you two shed a positive light on places and find awesome experiences and eats. We spent a few days there back in 2019 and had a really great time. We did the Arch, Grant’s home, and the zoo. Kids loved going up to the top of the Arch in those space pods. Really nice zoo as well and I am not much of a zoo-person. Only thing I wish we hit was the City Museum but just didn’t have time.
We have been very busy! Hope you enjoyed your vacation and enjoy the videos when you have time to watch! St. Louis was a really cool city! We really enjoyed it and hope to go back to see (and eat haha) more. We especially want to visit the city museum too!
@@AdventuresofAplusK it’s was an absolutely incredible vacation and it happened by pure luck and coincidence. I won pre-season Half Dome permits as well as Wave permits. Should have bought some lottery tickets I guess. We turned it into a 15th anniversary trip sans kids for 11 days.
They have always taught us so much! And we didn’t realize for a while either. We swore it was a typo and it was a national monument, but it’s pretty cool to have something so unique as a national park!
You were lucky to get the pod. I was packed in with strangers. It was cool to be able see into the stadium as a baseball game was happening at the time. Safe travels Adam and Kathryn
Oh wow! That would’ve been so fun to see a game happening! And to be honest, we have been avoiding a lot of activities (especially indoors) due to COVID, but the arch was such a great and safe activity and we are so thankful that we visited during this time because we not only got our own pods, but also our own windows at the top! We hear it can get very busy, so it was nice to visit without crowds!
You guys do so great with the filming and editing and narrating! It’s so much harder than it looks! Thanks for the tour! Never been there. Really enjoy your videos!
We love ice cream - everywhere we go we try ice cream also- especially with the kids but both of the flavors you guys tried sound amazing. pumpkin & cake one seemed like its amazing.
Just found you from my recommended videos, I live in St.Louis, and mostly watched to see how the Arch is dealing with COVID (those tiny pods, the small space at the top), honestly like you said this might actually be the time to go - it gets CROWDED in normal times and you literally touch knees with your pod mates (travel in groups of 5!). Glad you highlighted Forest Park too. This is the first of your videos I've watched but it won't be the last.
Hi Angela! So glad you found us! We were super impressed by their COVID procedures (and we have pretty high standards for COVID!) and we feel so lucky we got to experience it without tons of people. We forgot to mention in the video that they gave you your own windows on each side and you can only stay at those, which was awesome too! Thank you so much for watching 😄
The Arch was really cool, pretty amazing trams! Congratulations on getting those pints of ice cream in the freezer! You had gorgeous weather and some beautiful fall colors!
Yes! I love finding positive videos of my home town. Clementine's is THE best and I am a former Ted Drewes obsessed lady. The salted crack caramel is my absolute favorites.
Awesome vlog guys!!! I had so much fun! I’ve been to the Arch several times and it’s always a blast! You’ve introduced me to some new places in the area that I need to visit though! The park looked beautiful! Oh and the food!!!!....that looked so delicious and your excitement was evident! You’re my favorites!!! 😍🤗👍🙏
We are so happy you had fun along with us! We were so excited this whole day and had the best time! 🙌🏼 Glad we gave you some ideas for the next time you visit 😃
My wife and I went to St Louis about 4 years ago and had a great time. Also went to Pappy’s Smokehouse and it was delicious. Unfortunately, we missed out on the toasted ravioli. You both did a great job ⭐️ putting this vlog together. We have lived in Boise for 2 years now and can’t believe we have missed out on Stil ice cream 😮
@@AdventuresofAplusK shocking, but did not know about STIL until you mentioned it. We only live 10 minutes from downtown 🤔. Definitely need to make our way there.
I was impressed by your short stay in St. Louis and have lived here all my 68 years remembering well when the Arch was built. I had not been down to the Arch in many years until the summer of 2019 to see the new Arch park grounds after years of expansion and renovation were completed. I was also impressed and liked the video you showed of the impressive St. Louis history museum beneath it showing city history back to the days of the French and Indians. Simply including a visit of Forest Park that houses its large free zoo was great choice as simply seeing the park itself is well worth a visit. There are other museums there but seeing Forest park for walking or biking is a highlight as well. Your food selection was impressive and I see you already visited Ted Drewes for custard in a later trip. If you like thin pizza I recommend Imos pizza but you must be a thin pizza lover. Pappys has actually not been around all that long and I was practically its first customer since I worked near its location for 40 years and once eating at another restaurant next door noticed the new Pappys restuarant that just opened and with nobody around tried it out. Pappys has been a great addition in St. Louis. You sure researched St. Louis well. Others may suggest the City museum and the Union Station grounds that have recently been expanded with the giant ferris wheel and aquarium but just seeing the inside hotel with its architecture and light show are impressive. It no longer handles AMTRAK rail traffic but the small AMTRAK station is a nearby walk. Baseball fans will enjoy the Cardinals hall of fame museum that is like a mini Cooperstown located in Ballpark Village alongside the stadium. I really enjoyed your viedo and you researched STL well before coming.
Thank you so much for the kind words! We LOVED the Arch, it was such a fun experience! And there is soooo much more we want to see in STL, we will definitely be back! COVID made it hard to experience cities in their truest form, so we definitely had a limited visit. We will keep all of these tips in mind for next time!
Great video! I haven't been to the Arch since they built the new museum. Definitely made me want to take a trip downtown! Glad you had a good time in my city! I really enjoyed your video!! Safe travels! I hope you have many more happy adventures!
Another barbecue place we like is called Sugar Bakers. St Louis also has a pizza place that is mostly located in the upper Midwest called Happy Joe’s. They have the best taco pizza.
When I watch your videos I save abunch of the locations to my Google "want to go list" and it's so sad when y'all go to good looking food places, I look them up, and they've been permanently closed! Lol First Invocation coffee in Amarillo (Yellow city tacos were the BOMB though) and now the ravioli place! Can't wait to make it to the Alaska vlogs. I love Alaska
So glad you guys did this trip! We were JUST two hours North from Saint Louis in Hannibal, MS last weekend and we really considered going south. I'm glad we waited now! :)
Another great video! The arch would be great as either a park or monument. Besides, many of the monuments are way cooler than the often crowded parks. Thanks for sharing another great day!
@@AdventuresofAplusK I made a TV news feature story on the arch many years ago, and it was a freaking mob scene! Volunteered 10 years ago at White Sands then Nat'l Mon, and standing in that bookstore, I could often listen to my heartbeat for an hour or so between visitors! Odd, since WS has consistently had more visitors than Carlsbad Caverns. :-)
I so enjoyed your video! St. Louis is home for me, and although I've been away for 30 years, I visit often, and plan to move back. Great city, so much to see! (and eat) And friendly people, too.
Love St. Louis‼️ Glad you went to The Hill to eat. It is such a neat area. We ate at Zia’s on The Hill. You might try Ted Drewes Frozen Custard next time. It’s a STL landmark. Thanks for the info on Pappy’s BBQ too. Safe travels.
I’m from STL and we have some amazing food! Our Chinese food is like no other. Not healthy at all but delicious and unique. The people make the best soul food (not so much restaurants) because many AAs migrated from the south. Ted Drews has amazing custard, and we have great Mexican food as well. We have a lot to offer culturally.
So fun! I did have to sit in the lift with strangers and it was awkward as you’d think. On your next trip there you have to check out City Museum. It’s basically a huge warehouse turned into one big playground that uses repurposed pieces of old cities to build miles of tunnels, secret passages, bridges, and tons of other crazy cool stuff. Never seen anything like it, it was my favorite part of St. Louis.
Hahah we bet that was majorly awkward. It’s so tiny in there! We realllyyyyy want to visit City Museum! We have only really seen photos of the outside, but it looks SO COOL!
We will be going to St Loius this spring... can I ask where you parked your van while you visited the arch? Is there a lot that the van fits in near there?? Thanks!!
We parked our van on the street. I don’t remember seeing a parking lot near the park. We got there very early in the morning and that helped with finding parking close by
We have the BEST ice cream in St Louis! Welcome to the city! Happy you got to explore our "hood". We were at the Grand Opening of the GANP as a member of the press. They also have the Old Courthouse Museum. Gotta eat at PAPPY'S! We love Forest Park too! We have a whole series on the free things to do there. You got great food. We haven't eaten sexy ice cream yet. We were having an outdoor adventure about 3 hours from STL while you were there. Thanks for coming and showing off our city!
How cool that y'all got to be press! We were so impressed by the entire park, from the museum to the ride to the top. Especially with how they handled everything with COVID. Y'all need to try the sexy ice cream lol, it's soooo good! I still tear up thinking about it 😂
Great video! You have to go to the City Museum next time! I guarantee you've never seen anything like it. It's like if Tim Burton designed an indoor playground in an entire building using random movie props while on acid. But crazier and cooler. The Zoo, Science Center, and Botanical Garden are also awesome (the zoo and science center are free!). The Anheuser Busch tour is also pretty cool. I saw you got Ted Drewes and ate it the next day. At least you didn't buy it from the store, but nothing compares to eating it fresh. Definitely worth a 2nd try.
We really want to visit the city museum! Saving it for a non-covid world so we can enjoy it safely and freely! And we will definitely give Ted Drewes another shot. We did really enjoy it!
Other places to try that are not mentioned, The Brewery and Grant's Farm. There is also the Art and History museums. If there on a Saturday, go to Soulard Farmers Market. If you have children, The Magic House and Museum of Transport. Great pictures of Forest Park on a beautiful fall day.
I went with my high school many moons ago and the way up felt like a washing machine inside. Now I want to go back. Moving to Missouri this month near Springfield
You guys make the best entertaining vlogs ever. I'm gaining weight just watching you guys, good thing you're staying active, those ribs and Italian food aren't on weight watchers menu's. lol "Happy Birthday", Adam! Stay Healthy and safe.
Hahaha I’m pretty sure we didn’t eat the rest of the day 🤣 And thankfully getting back into a workout routine 😅 So glad you enjoyed the vlog and Adam says thank you! 🎉
Bogarts in soulard for ribs. It’s a very similar smokehouse to the pappy’s (shared lineage in the smoker-crews) but their Apricot glazed ribs alone are worth the trip.
So glad you enjoyed my city!! I definitely recommend Fitzs. It’s a restaurant and root beer bottling company. I wouldn’t necessarily say to go for the food but watching the bottling is cool and the root beer is amazing! Make sure you try Ted Drews Custard next time. Also, try the real gooey butter cake cause it’s amazing!! And I think you all would LOVE Mission Taco. It’s my absolute FAVORITE taco place! And then check out the zoo! It’s one of the best in the nation and it’s free!
Ooo cool! We love root beer! Thank you so much for the tip! We may or may not have gotten Ted Drewes for the next vlog, so stay tuned! 😉 And y'all know we LOVE tacos, so we will definitely be hitting that up next time too!
@@AdventuresofAplusK if you love root beer you’d love their root beer floats! Can’t wait to see you in STL some day again! There’s so much to see and eat!
My daughter heard y'all the Gateway Arch and came running and jumped on my lap to watch LOL. Great vlog of the arch and St. Louis. The raviolis had my mouth watering so I'm gonna have to get some of those someday :) Thanks for sharing and much love
You caught the Gateway Arch at a golden hour! Our first baseball road trip was in St. Louis...and we LOVED it. Great memories there. They were working on the museum, I believe, when we went there a few years ago - a dad & a 22-month old. The kid was scared by the tram - and awed by the view, especially seeing Busch Stadium where we'd be later that day. The tram DOES feel like Star Wars. You walked among the centerpiece of an Olympic Games at Forest Park - 1904 Games were there! Cannot wait to get back there, especially the Hill district. Gotta try that place you went to. Next time you go, try Mama's on the Hill - doesn't specialize in ravioli, but it's fantastic there, too. But the chicken spedini...last meal-quality amazing. And you each had a foodie-heaven eye bug reaction! A with the ribs, K with the ice cream. Gotta ask: Are the ribs you had >, = or < Texas brisket?
Adam would've loved to see a game while we were there! We agree, seeing the stadium from the top was super cool! We may just have to do a food tour solely of the Hill next time. We have heard great things about Mama's on the Hill and we could eat Italian food allll day long 😂 For us, Texas brisket will always be king 👑, but we do love us some ribs too (especially beef ribs!) and they're probably our second favorite item to get!
My Dad was an electrician and worked on the Arch when it was being built. I was glad you showed, briefly, the stairs that go up to the top. He spent a lot of time on those stairs wiring all the lights (that was the part he did). You mentioned Provel cheese, next time you will have to try some St. Louis style pizza. Imos is the one everyone has heard of, and it's OK. But the small local places usually do a better job.
Wow that is incredible! Mad props to your dad for working on it! 👏🏼 We definitely will try St. Louis style pizza next time! Everyone is recommending Imo’s, but the girl working at Mama Toscano’s told us that lesser known spots are better (but I can’t remember which one she said). What are your favorites?
I'll have to let others chime in on the best local pizza places. I grew up there, but haven't lived there for 20 years. Most of the places I used to go to are gone now. If I were going to pick one now, I'd rely on google/yelp/etc to find a good one.
You guys need to try: -Schflays Brewery for their bread that is deep fried in beer. -Ted drews for frozen custard ice cream. -Imos for provel pizza (the ground beef on pizza is yummy) Also you guys should check out to see: -Castlewood park -Lone elk park/world bird sanctuary -st.louis zoo -city museums -butterfly house -lemp mansion (try ghost tours)
Thanks for all the tips! We tried Ted Drewes in our next video and Imos has been a popular suggestion, so we will have to try it next time. We really want to visit City Museum too!
I love Beast BBQ right over the river in Illinois. Also toasted ravs are the best...so glad you guys liked them. If you come back you should check out the zoo... it's one of the best in the country and it's free!!! I live in STL and was so happy to see you guys stop by. You picked some great places to visit.
Hi Guys, I was in St. Louis with friends in 2011 after visiting Chicago. The top of the Arch was awesome, as well as great Ribs We did not eat at pappys because they ran out of ribs when we got there
Oh fun! Chicago is one of our favorite cities! ❤️ that’s such a bummer that they ran out! We tried to get there super early because we hear that they close when sold out!
So glad you enjoyed our city. The Lou has so many great places you need a few more days. Next time check out the City Museum, Missouri Botanical Garden, the Zoo and Ted Drew's Ice cream to name a few.
Wow! This trip brought back memories! Took a couple of our kids to Orlando back in 2000? Anyway, stopped off in St. Louis and took the tram up into the Arch. What a treat but would not recommend it to people who might be claustrophobic! I was with Adam and his observation that looking straight down sometimes makes him nervous.......I don't do heights but I was able to look out and look down...weird! That was all before it became a state park but the museum was very nice! I'm sure it's all changed now. Haven't ever tried the fried ravioli and I don't normally like pasta all that much but you certainly made it look good! Will have to try that AND the ribs if we ever get back there! Thanks for the wonderful tips, oh! The ice cream too, need to try that! : )
Oh gosh, claustrophobic folks would NOT love it! Lol! We are so thankful we had it to ourselves. Leaning over was so wild! I love that kind of stuff haha. The food in St. Louis is absolutely amazing and we will go back for the food alone!
Nice vid. The Show Me is our old home state, lol. We lived SW of there on I44. Town called Joplin. But, the Arch is beautiful, the Mississippi river. Seen a couple of cardinal games. The food is fantastic. We wanted to grab the ribs off the screen, lol. be safe S/T
Wow I never knew you could go inside the Arch how fabulous was that ! A little scary but would have to be done 👍I think the ice cream will be gone by the end of the week 😁
All my life in St. Louis. For ice cream fans, try Ted Drewes frozen custard as well. Vitale's is excellent for real Italian cookies. The Anheuser Bush brewery tour (with free tasting afterwards) 🍺. If you like soda, then Fitz's bottling is a great place to grab lunch... Excellent craft sodas and good food. Happy you visited St. Louis and liked everything. 😊
Love your video, i live in Chicago , i have been up in The Gateway Arch, the view is beautiful, i have a beautiful Model of The Gateway Arch that glows in the dark.
Just found your channel and enjoying it. I don't know if your baseball fans or not but you were basically right around the corner from the street Yogi Berra, Joe Garagiola and Jack Bucks childhood homes are. They're just up the street and around the corner from mama toscanos.
Hello Adventurers😊😊, you really explored all that Gateway Arch National Park has to offer. It's been years since I was there and at that time it was a National Monument. Really so cool to explore the local eateries in St Louis! If you have a chance I would drive the 4 hours to Kansas City and check out Arthur Bryant's BBQ! Great video👍👍👍!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Excellent! New subscriber here! If you guys pass through STL again, I'd love to show you another great state park and maybe grab a coffee.
I rode the tram up in the 90's. And pre covid, they'd cram us in there, and it was too many people in a tight space. Of course, you would discuss that after I typed it, LOL. Your shots looking straight up from the bottom are great.
We are actually pretty glad we visited in COVID times. We forgot to say this on the vlog, but they also gave you your own windows (on each side) and you had to stay at your windows. We have seen photos of how crazy it gets up there, so we are so happy we had tons of space!
“Sexy ice cream” is a new one for us lol. You know, the ice cream place near us has that ooey gooey butter cake ice cream too... just saying 😝. We lived in Illinois for years and loved St Louis - didn’t know the Arch was now a National Park, that’s so cool! The view from the top is so cool, glad you guys got to experience it all. Stay safe friends! ♥️ Aaron & Nicole.
Hahaha we have had a lot of ice cream, but sexy ice cream is a new one for us too! What’s the spot by y’all called? Hoping we can make it that way next year!

Safety is our #1 priority and we want to stress that this adventure, and all future adventures, will be done responsibly and with the health of others in mind. Here are the steps we are taking everyday, including in these videos:
😷Masks and face coverings.
Adam was wearing the Mask upside down in the museum, cute.
His mask can be worn either direction. It isn’t shaped differently for the nose or chin.
The Arch grounds have changed so much in the past 10 years. It didn't use to be that nice. Also, I'm a general aviation pilot that lives in St Louis. The Arch is pretty nice to look at on a fly-by. Happy travels!

We had such a great time! Definitely exceeded our expectations!
I've seen TH-camrs show us the Arch, but, until now, I always wondered how people traveled through it. Now I know! Thanks!
We had no idea you could go up into it, but the second we learned, we knew we HAD to do it! 🙌🏼
Yum.
A food vacation sounds like our kind of vacation! 🙌🏼 So many good suggestions, thank you so much for passing those along!
Thank you so much for the kind words and the tips! We did try Ted Drewes in our next vlog and wanted to try Salt n Smoke next time for sure!
I have yet to try salt and smoke in the loop, I wanna go back 😂
We are so thrilled to see you guys enjoy your day in our town! You must visit again and see all the wonderful free things we have to offer...Zoo, Museums, Gardens, etc. Also, there are many more goodies for you to eat!
This was one of the hardest cities so far to plan for because we wanted to do SO much! Can’t wait to come back! 😋🙌🏼
Sooooo good! 😋😋
All these comments from people from St. Louis area and no mention of Sugarfire?! A must try!
It has had a few mentions! It was one of the few we decided between. We will have to try it next time! 😄
Amazing!!!
Glad that you enjoyed the city. Much to see there!
Such a cool and fun city! We WILL be back!
I took a Greyhound near the Arch at Night. It was still a sight to see... I wish I had taken better pictures..
Ooo I bet that was super pretty!
Glad that you all were able to go up in the Arch. It was closed when we visited in 2018. We did tour the courthouse as it was a temporary visitor center & really enjoyed it. Safe travels
We need to check out the courthouse next time! It was currently closed inside due to COVID, but we loved the outside!
I’ve always wondered how the elevator worked in that Arch! Thank you for sharing; very cool! I seriously want some of that ice cream right now!! Yum!!
The tram was crazy cool! We would’ve never guessed you could go up there because of its shape. But anything is possible!
Enjoyed your video of Saint Louis- lived there and love it! My home is Texas but I am a Cardinals fan for life. Look forward to seeing more vlogs by y'all.
So happy you enjoyed it John! We really hope we can make it to a baseball game next time we are there!
OMG, when I went through St Louis this past September, I stopped at Mama Toscano’s and got some toasted raviolis. I didn’t remember that you went to this place also. I was looking for an original Italian place and just picked that one. It was so good.
So glad you have tried their raviolis!! Little pockets of joy!
Love your videos! Excited to see you were in my hometown. Agree with other comments about City Museum being a must see. An indescribable, whimsical playground for all ages!
We cannot wait to go there! Figured it may be more fun in a post-COVID world haha!
Wow!!! Now that’s some luck!
I agree, Rangers' information is always awesome! I didn't realize the Arch was a National Park. Great video! Thank you!
They have always taught us so much! And we didn’t realize for a while either. We swore it was a typo and it was a national monument, but it’s pretty cool to have something so unique as a national park!
I just visited St. Louis last week and the view in the arch is very pretty!!
We agree! Such a cool view!
Thank you so much! It is a LOT harder than it looks lol and we're glad you understand!
@@AdventuresofAplusK Its def a learning process! Well worth it tho! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much! Slowly getting more comfortable with it all!
Ice cream and the st. LOUIS ARCH! can you get any better? Great video!
You really can't! It was such a fun day! Our stomachs were very happy 😋
We have never been to this NP. It definitely looks like star trek like you said- very neat view from the pod.
We love ice cream - everywhere we go we try ice cream also- especially with the kids but both of the flavors you guys tried sound amazing. pumpkin & cake one seemed like its amazing.
We are the same way! We have ice cream in a lot of our upcoming vlogs haha. Oops! 😋
If they didn’t fit I guess we would’ve just had to eat them right then! Lol! 🤣
Yes! I love finding positive videos of my home town. Clementine's is THE best and I am a former Ted Drewes obsessed lady. The salted crack caramel is my absolute favorites.
Yessss so glad to see another Clementine's lover! Hard to compare the two spots since they are different, but Clementine's stole our hearts!
So happy y’all got to experience Pappy’s! Now you gotta go back for the ravioli! Have y’all been to the STIL yet? Still one of the BEST EVER!
@@AdventuresofAplusK shocking, but did not know about STIL until you mentioned it. We only live 10 minutes from downtown 🤔. Definitely need to make our way there.
Ooo yes you gotta go! They have some of the best flavor combos out there!
I didn't know The Arch was a national park, so cool! Those capsules looked awesome. Great video!
The capsules are so neat! They totally made the experience even more awesome!
Nice video you guys. St. Louis gets a bad rap, but it really is beautiful and lots of free things to do.
We had a great time! Thanks for watching!
Great video! I stayed in St Louis for a few years and your vid brought back such sweet memories! Keep them coming!!! (:
Ah fun! Glad we could bring back some memories! 🥰
This was such an awesome Vlog! All the scenery was outstanding! Ooooo and that food and ice cream were very drool worthy 😋🤤! Such a FUN day!
The views and food were all incredible! Such a blast!
thank you for coming to our hometown. means the world to me.
Of course! We had such a blast!
@@AdventuresofAplusK glad you both like the ice cream and BBQ. GO BLUES!!!! LOL!!!
Definitely an amazing food city! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
What an awesome day! Thanks for taking us along! Wish I could try the toasted ravioli and ice cream. Definitely missing out.
We couldn’t recommend either more! They were incredible!
Thank you for sharing the Arch. I have always wondered what it was like, now I know. I would love to visit.
We hope you can someday! It was such a fun experience!
Great video! I haven't been to the Arch since they built the new museum. Definitely made me want to take a trip downtown! Glad you had a good time in my city! I really enjoyed your video!! Safe travels! I hope you have many more happy adventures!
The museum is super cool! We hadn’t been before to know how it was before, but we really enjoyed it and especially loved doing to the top of the arch!
Another barbecue place we like is called Sugar Bakers. St Louis also has a pizza place that is mostly located in the upper Midwest called Happy Joe’s. They have the best taco pizza.
Ooo taco pizza?! Sign us up! 😋🌮
When I watch your videos I save abunch of the locations to my Google "want to go list" and it's so sad when y'all go to good looking food places, I look them up, and they've been permanently closed! Lol
First Invocation coffee in Amarillo (Yellow city tacos were the BOMB though) and now the ravioli place! Can't wait to make it to the Alaska vlogs. I love Alaska
Aw man that is a bummer!
So glad you guys did this trip! We were JUST two hours North from Saint Louis in Hannibal, MS last weekend and we really considered going south. I'm glad we waited now! :)
We hope you can go and do all of these things! It was so fun!
Another great video! The arch would be great as either a park or monument. Besides, many of the monuments are way cooler than the often crowded parks. Thanks for sharing another great day!
Very true! Lots of cool spots that aren’t even official national parks. We loved the lack of crowds here! We hear it’s not always that empty though 😄
Super cool! We just moved here last year and we love it! So glad you visited and the video!
We really enjoyed the city! Thanks for watching!!
I so enjoyed your video! St. Louis is home for me, and although I've been away for 30 years, I visit often, and plan to move back. Great city, so much to see! (and eat) And friendly people, too.
So glad you enjoyed it Tom! We really enjoyed the city. Good food + so much to do!
I would recommend Sugar Fire, Fitz's Root Beer, the world famous Ted Drew's on R 66 and Imos Pizza. St Louis Zoo, Forest Park and then Science center.
We had Ted Drewes in our video after this one. Good, but doesn't match up to Clementine's in our opinion :)
We really enjoyed the city! Stay tuned for our next vlog! We picked up a few food things before we left to try 😉
well done. Arch is an interesting and different National Park..it is underrated by many. I was able to ride to top and see city light up at sunset.
Sunset would’ve been amazing! 😍 It definitely is an underrated park, we had so much fun!
The food choices all seemed so good, it was hard to pick!
We got there very early in the morning and that helped with finding parking close by
So excited to go to St. Louis! Most likely will go there next year!
It’s a fun city! We can’t wait to go back!
I still tear up thinking about it 😂
@@AdventuresofAplusK LOL! We will have to take a look soon!
Thank you so much for the tips! 😄
LOVED that you basically got VIP treatment at the arch and that lighting couldn't have been any more perfect!! We really loved this episode! :)
Thanks y’all! We were super pumped to get to have a Ranger show us around. Made the experience even better!
I'm turning the news off and watching your videos of where I am planning on going this summer. Thanks for hints and distractions.
We think that’s a good idea! ☺️ thanks for watching!
I went with my high school many moons ago and the way up felt like a washing machine inside. Now I want to go back. Moving to Missouri this month near Springfield
Hahahah that is a hilarious description! Congrats on your move!
That is where we originally wanted to go, but they are closed currently 😩 Those ribs sound AWESOME!
The Jewel Box is an institution, my parents wedding pics were taken there. The St Louis Zoo is one of the best in the WORLD!!! And FREE!!!!
What an amazing wedding picture spot! We went by it two days in a row because we thought it was so gorgeous!
Love us a good root beer float!
Definitely go to Fitz’s for the floats!
We will have to try that next time! We love floats!
Each time l watch your channel, I come away hungry!!!
Great video!😷🍁
Hahaha we had to put a “don’t watch hungry” warning on Instagram and Facebook for this one 🤣
My daughter heard y'all the Gateway Arch and came running and jumped on my lap to watch LOL. Great vlog of the arch and St. Louis. The raviolis had my mouth watering so I'm gonna have to get some of those someday :) Thanks for sharing and much love
How cute! Hope she enjoyed it! ❤️ And those toasted raviolis are mouthwatering goooood!
I love watching your videos and you happen to be in my home state - Missouri. I'm in southwest Missouri in the beautiful Ozarks. Enjoy!
Aw yay!!! We had a great time! 🙌🏼
We definitely will try St.
@@AdventuresofAplusK Don't get Imo's. Faratto's makes a really good one, but I'm sure there are other places too.
You guys need to try:
-Schflays Brewery for their bread that is deep fried in beer.
-Ted drews for frozen custard ice cream.
-Imos for provel pizza (the ground beef on pizza is yummy)
Also you guys should check out to see:
-Castlewood park
-Lone elk park/world bird sanctuary
-st.louis zoo
-city museums
-butterfly house
-lemp mansion (try ghost tours)
Thanks for all the tips! We tried Ted Drewes in our next video and Imos has been a popular suggestion, so we will have to try it next time. We really want to visit City Museum too!
I love Beast BBQ right over the river in Illinois. Also toasted ravs are the best...so glad you guys liked them. If you come back you should check out the zoo... it's one of the best in the country and it's free!!! I live in STL and was so happy to see you guys stop by. You picked some great places to visit.
Oooo Beast BBQ sounds good! We will definitely have to check that out! Thank you so much for the tips!
Hi Guys,
I was in St. Louis with friends in 2011 after visiting Chicago.
The top of the Arch was awesome, as well as great Ribs
We did not eat at pappys because they ran out of ribs when we got there
Absolutely! We wish we could’ve spent more time. Ted Drewes may make an appearance on the next vlog 😉
Yes! City Museum!
Wow! The Gateway Arch is huge! So cool that you can go up to the top of it 😀
It is massive! 😱😱
@@AdventuresofAplusK I'd never heard of it before watching your vlog. You'd think something like that would be more famous!
Different view of St Louis than just driving through, thank you
Any chance you might vlog about Jefferson City MO, Columbia MO or Fulton MO???
Unfortunately not this time. 😕 We only have the weekends to vlog and needed to get back to Texas, so we had to skip over a lot. But we will be back!
The little thing to get to the top of the arch reminds me of the bathyspheres from Bioshock 🤣
Hahaha that’s a perfect comparison! 🤣
Dallie's Smokehouse has amazing ribs. It's part of the Pappy's family of restaurants but I like these the best of them all.
Oooo interesting! We didn’t know they had other restaurants!
Bogarts has the best beans
Nice vid. The Show Me is our old home state, lol. We lived SW of there on I44. Town called Joplin. But, the Arch is beautiful, the Mississippi river. Seen a couple of cardinal games. The food is fantastic. We wanted to grab the ribs off the screen, lol. be safe S/T
Adam really wants to go to a game next time! We had a ton of fun in St. Louis!
You sure had a gorgeous day for your visit. I'm glad you like our City!
We cannot wait to come back and explore more! Such a fun place!
Wow I never knew you could go inside the Arch how fabulous was that ! A little scary but would have to be done 👍I think the ice cream will be gone by the end of the week 😁
It was so fun going to the top! And stay tuned (for two vlogs) to find out 😉
Excellent 😊. As usual, great video to watch. The arch looks great.
Thank you so much Don! We hope you’re doing well! 😃
Keeping fine, thanks. Loving the content. Keep them coming.
Good, we are glad to hear that! And we will!

Very good! We definitely understand why everyone loves it!
Love the video and boy those ribs look yummy! We've always wanted to go up the monument too!!!
Some of the best ribs we have ever had! And we couldn't recommend the arch more...such a neat monument!
Love your video, i live in Chicago , i have been up in The Gateway Arch, the view is beautiful, i have a beautiful Model of The Gateway Arch that glows in the dark.
Oh man I feel like I would be claustrophobic in the pods!! Still cool thanks for sharing!
Definitely not a good idea if you’re super claustrophobic! I cannot even imagine how stuffy and tight it would be had it been more than 2 of us!
My thoughts exactly! Especially if you were packed in with strangers!
That would’ve made filming sooo awkward. 😬😬 So glad that wasn’t the case!
Great video. Enjoyed it, keep up the good work 👏👏👏
Thank you so much Kiran! 🤗
Just found your channel and enjoying it. I don't know if your baseball fans or not but you were basically right around the corner from the street Yogi Berra, Joe Garagiola and Jack Bucks childhood homes are. They're just up the street and around the corner from mama toscanos.
Adam is a huge baseball fan!
We sooo wish we could’ve done Kansas City this time! We had to head south, but don’t worry, we will be back!
Glad you enjoyed my city! When you come back... try Ted Drewes Frozen Custard (very Route 66) and Anthonino's Taverna on The Hill.
We actually tried Ted Drewes in our next MO video! th-cam.com/video/Il4-ckugFtE/w-d-xo.html
@@AdventuresofAplusK Excellent! New subscriber here! If you guys pass through STL again, I'd love to show you another great state park and maybe grab a coffee.
We’d love that! 🙌🏼
Thanks for visiting my hometown. I’ve been following you for sometime! Hope you enjoyed
We really really enjoyed it! We cannot wait to come back. Thank you for following along! ❤️
Honestly, this might be the best *insert food here* Haha. You are the best !
Hahahaha we are easy to please when it comes to food 🤣🤣 but that truly was top 5 quality ice cream!
Gosh there is so much more in Saint Louis.. you guys should definitely come back to check it out
We will for sure! It’s hard when we only have the weekends to explore to see it all. If you have suggestions, let us know.
Great shots! I didn’t even know you can actually get inside the arch.
We had no idea either! So much fun!
@@AdventuresofAplusK it’s “The Screamery!” Local place that’s expanded in the state, but we live by the original location!
Going to have to look it up!
