The X.A.N.A super-calculator has mounted another attack against our planet. This time, it has taken control of little Milly’s teddy bear. Milly is a student at the same junior high school our heroes. Not only does the teddy bear come to life and become very aggressive but he grows to be as big as a building before our very eyes. The safety of the whole city is in jeopardy. While Ulrich rushes off to help Yumi, Odd will have to fight on Lyoko alone - with Jeremy acting as his moral support and guide - so that their virtual friend Aelita can foil the X.A.N.A’s attack. In the meantime, Yumi and Ulrich, with Milly in tow, will have to pull off something pretty amazing if they want to escape the giant teddy bear’s terrible grips. - บันเทิง

I’d throw the fans and everything. LMAO. My mom walked in and was like “what the heck are you doing?” AHHHH childhood memories.

I mean, it's not like you just tell someone, "Hey, I'm working on this," when you already said you would work on it. That was one of many weird and unrealistic / illogical things said in this episode.
I wonder if the interactions just weren't translated very well or were more logical from the perspective of the original intended audience.

@@TMS-Oddbot Well, tbf this is the very first episode. They had to exposite a LOT to let the audience know the plot of the episode... who the characters were and the basic premise of the show in the first season anyway.
First episodes are nearly always quite clunky on truly great series.
I almost started crying when I heard the theme song. I loved this show as a kid, and the song just brought back the feeling of sitting in front of the TV with my sister to watch this show.
My sister and I use to watch this right after school. This was our favorite show. ^_^

I remember always getting pissed off when she takes her sweet time walking in the tower while people were in danger
I sort of just assumed it was like a loading procedure, like she had to focus in order to make it work. I mean if I have to assume that then it isn't very well set up, but whatever.
I hated her as a kid because she was such a damsel in distress. All she did was call for help and get herself into trouble. We’ll see if I have a change of heart watching the show this time around!

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir/Cat Noir is basically Code Lyoko meets Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon, Kim Possible, Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, and Shugo Chara.Yet, Miraculous takes the worst of all the aforementioned programs and throw them into a blender.
And you can tell Thomas really liked Odd too seeing how similar Chat noir is to him! Both personality wise and design wise.

Yes, I really like when shows just.. start with the gang in the swing of things, makes the viewer seem more like they caught them in the groove instead of a slow build up, which is what later episodes do iirc, give backstory..

This is honestly a cool ass concept, I remember watching this show when I was younger but watching it now again in 2020 I see how much of a good plot this show actually has. They should totally give the characters a modern reboot and remaster the show, i'm sure old and new fans would enjoy it!!

There's Code Lyoko: Evolution, which is a sequel series and still has the 3D sections BUT it's primarily live-action. Haven't seen it myself so I don't know if its good but it might be worth checking out.

Antoni Grzelak thats not the pilot episode though, it was made in the middle of one of the later seasons. It wasn’t even the first episode produced, it was this one.

i love the intro so much, it's been probably 10 years since i first watched it and i've never forgotten the intro ever.
This show was always on at 5:30am for me when I was a kid. I would set an alarm just to get up and see it because I loved it so much!!! Watching this now 10 years later is such a crazy blast from the past. Glad to see so many people share the nostalgia. What a fun show

I know! I spent the last week trying to remember anything about this show that I used to love 10 years ago, and I found it by total accident when I saw a Deviant art picture of Jeremy in a crossover with Danny Phantom.
I still don't remember the Arabic version's name (most Arabic dubbed shows had different names than the original)

Rewatching this from the beginning and seeing how much the team changed throughout their roughly 3 year battle with X.A.N.A, it still amazes me even now. I remember watching it whenever it came on, but I never saw the end until I watched this channel. I can't believe this series will be 20 years old next year. I was 7 when this aired and 11 when it finished.

...was one of the biggest nostalgia attacks I ever had. That entire sequence reminded me why I love this show so much and to even this day. When you were little a little kid and you got to saw greatness like this on TV, you'd always have your mind blown of how awesome this was as well as wishing you were able to do the same things as these kids. And the fantastic music makes things even more awesome especially the instrumental version of "A World Without Danger" on that sewers/factory scene!! And not even that, this show perfectly does a combination of drama, sci-fi, action and comedy, all making this show completely fun and worth your time. A true gem from the amazing lineup from Miguzi on Cartoon Network.
Code Lyoko is my #1 favorite cartoon show and I plan on becoming a loyal Lyoko fan until the day I die.

This show gives very emotional vibes. No different than other nostalgic shows that I grew up with in my childhood. 80s, 90s, and the 2000s.
Always made it home just in time to see this and "Totally Spies", no joke. I mean, obviously I had my interest in stuff like Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai Jack, but this was my JAM.

The last time I watched this animated series on TV was 8-10 years ago. For the past few years, I have tried to find it from time to time, and today I finally found it. I have never experienced such intense nostalgia before. I even remember briefly playing some simple browser game based on this series.
An episode with a bus sent by AI to a power plant, an episode with nitrous oxide poisoning, an episode with samurai armor coming to life, an episode with builders arriving to reconstruct a warehouse in which all the equipment of the main characters was hidden…
I am very excited about this and now I know what I will spend my free time on in the coming days or even weeks.

yeah, but it's kind of weird for a kids show. i mean, how many kids are going to know what a neuron is? i think he should've just said "brain cell" instead

Does anyone else remember Mega XLR? Also, Billy and Mandy, Avatar the last Airbender, Adventure time, Regular show, Samurai Jack, and Symbiotic Titans were some of my favorites growing up. Man we grew up in such a golden age of cartoons/technology.

Heck yeahhh I loved it soooo much me and my little brother were such fans haha (we were like what, 11 and 8, maybe even younger ) and then they stopped airing the show in our country back then.. I was so sad, even I remember haha. Like, I think we cried when we found out.. I'm so glad to watch it again after such long time and I still remember why I loved this show so much xD

I remember seeing an entire series box on DVD for about $99.99 on Amazon.
But that's released on DVD-Rs. I only purchase real DVDs, not on demand titles. we've got the first season on DVD released by Funimation, but it's long OOP and very expensive.
And they used to have it on Netflix. I managed to watch the entire series before they took it off of Netflix.

I never realized how weird the voice acting was
I remember Jeremy's voice always striking me as being soooooo nerdy and annoying, but he kind of has to be annoyingly nerdy to be the super-genius that Lyoko needs, so I always just accepted it. Haha

The theme song makes me cry when I hear it. It's a really beautiful song and very nostalgic. I also think cartoons were more mature back then and maybe it because the kids back then were different. I don't think a middle school girl prancing around in her undergarments (surprised no one mentioned it) would fly on most of today's children programming but I love that they included it because this was definitely me back in the day lol. I would dress up in my room, put on make up, and etc. Lowkey it's still me now lol. Oh yeah and I definitely think yumi's bath scene would've gotten cut. But I love the realistic little details.

Casmoney7 VideoProduction European and French media is a bit different when it comes to censorship. They censor more violence over sexual content, while in the US it's the opposite. It's also because of culture difference, but you tend to learn that within the film industry.
Lots of attempted murders, near-naked minors, a full-on suicide attempt, and much more.

It just hit me that the characters in the “real world” are in 2D, whereas those in Lyoko are in 3D. An interesting choice!
