A classic home and away character development, rough kid arrives from the city with an attitude and 6 months later becomes a pillar of the community. Like Angel, Bobby, Shane etc
Same in Neighbours, Charlene for example (Kylie Minogue) turned up by breaking into the house and punched a regular (Jason Donovan) yet later married him and was the darling of the street.
Spot on. I don't think they knew any other way of introducing characters. Al Simpson (Terence Donovan) entered as a bad guy then suddenly straightened out.
@@techno1972 if I remember correctly, Al Simpson Bobby and Sophie's father was a villain and tried to frame Don Fisher for murder, so there were a few un redeeming baddies like him, Dodge and Angie who were fleeting characters. I was referring to regular characters like Angel, Bobby, Emma, Shane etc.
Do you have the episodes that follow this? I always see this episode but never the ones where they find out Angel is on the streets and she moves in to Fisher's house etc
Apt that Angel effectively wears the same white smock outfit on her first and (sadly) her last meeting with...er.. what's his name...Shane... (Note link with Scott/Charlene first meet..."Crim" gal meets blonde poster boy....)
Rest now, Dieter. We'll carry you the rest of the way.
Amen 🙏 to that.

@@crevrath7374Although he wasn't around for long, I'm sure he cleaned his act up.
Or like Sophie, cannot read but six months later can read well enough to be in a class in high school with people her age.
"Is all this leading somewhere?!!"...
Yes: Home and Away's peak pairing and period....
Frentè! ❤I remember watching this! Love it 😊
this is totally history 😊🤙🏽💙✨
Angel sure mellowed lol
RIP Dieter
I heard mellisa George did not like Dieter at all. They did not get on at all and fought.
Yes, that's right. They didn't get on.
Thats is why all their fighting scenes were perfect and Hollywood mistook Melissa George as a great actress
How did she get into Hollywood She was average acting and looking at best
Shane's shirt and curtain fringe hair soo 90s lol
Rip Dieter
When Home and Away was decent.
Melissa George's real voice here?

Didn't she try and distance herself from H&A?
@@cianog Yes, that's true.
She's some Hollywood luvie these days
Frente! Yes, I remember this.
The Beginning of Supercouple would dominate the next three years of the show.
A shame, the guy who played shane, left because he couldnt take filming with the Actress. Said she was demanding n woild be late. A right drama queen
He asked to be killed off
@@theresagwhite3175 why
because apparently, he couldn't stand Melissa George.
@@theresagwhite3175 Plus he had gotten sick of the show and believed Shane had reached the end of the line and wanted to try other things.
Yabbie Creek or the Matrix. Same thing.
is that steve irwin ???????
No.
Steve Irwin was in Home And Away for a few years. He played Bobby's boyfriend. He gave up acting to focus on his show 'The Crocodile Hunter'.
