My friend had an e-reader when I was as a kid and I was so damn jealous whenever I saw all the features in like animal crossing and ruby and sapphire, then later in life I was like, oh, lol, it flopped, and then I looped right around to being jealous again.
... I may or may not have gotten an e-reader myself recently.

Nintendo is taking Bank out back, so unfortunately it won't be possible anymore very soon. You'll be walled from moving anything forward from Gen 6/7.
The PKhex and the modded console and the puddin pop will get things done forever. They done opened pandora's box by ever opening home compatibility to older generations. At this point, it's hypothetically possible to have had a pokemon come from an older gen up to at least gen 9 and as long as they keep support for trading up from gen 9 we will be fine.
I love the little oopsies in these videos, I know it sounds silly but it actually motivates me to keep trying because I know even people with experience mess RNG manips up sometimes. Great stuff as always, I’m still finishing the video but I just wanted to shout out the awesome quality :)

I've been hunting all the shiny unkown in hgss with the guide on your site and managed to get them all, so thanks for that! 1 thing tho, I needed to stop 1 frame earlier (so 2 frames before the shiny frame) for the shiny ! and ?. IDK if there is something in that room that advances the frame by 1 more. Just leaving it here so maybe you could test it and update the guide if you feel like it :)

A quick tip to anyone doing this on emulator: PLEASE use save states once you get the correct seed. I almost lost 6 hours of work from overshooting the advances
Edit: DO NOT overwrite save states until you are finished

I can't tell if you know about it because you cut the video, but anyway: if you hold CTRL + SHIFT and hit T after you close a tab, it will reopen the tab you closed, useful for when you accidentally close a tab you were using.

Where did you get genuine games and a ds lite for 50$? Even of you went to game stop they sell games used for 30$ each and its risky because you get fake cards all the time.
Sadly, once Pokemon Bank is gone, the Gen 3 Pokemon no longer has the ability to travel all the way in Gen 9.
Unless Pokemon Gens 1 to 3 gets rereleased for the NSO with Pokemon HOME compatibility.
I can only hope.
Even if they get rereleased this specific event (or really any of custom events) wont be accessible anymore
There will likely be a a fan made server for it at some point although it could take a while after it shuts down until we see one

I see no reason why it wouldn't but with people failing for actual legit mons on rare occasions it makes me paranoid.

How do I get help with this? I'm trying to hunt for shiny shadow Raikou and I haven't had much luck rng manipulating. At this point, I'm worried I may have the wrong SID. My problem is when I get to the program with the Kanji, it seems different, which puts me off. I tried going to the blissey discord, but it's like I can't contact anyone for help. Does anyone have time(and patience) to help me out with this shiny and walk me through this? I'm currently soft resetting for it and I know how futile that is.
I'm posting this comment on multiple videos so that this gets seen. I'm able to do Emerald, but Colosseum is a whole 'nother beast.

Why not just use ACE to jump frames? Wouldn’t that be easier/faster?

@excalibur493 its not even the RNG it's actually playing the game. I can do on emu and I am like these games suck. I wanted tri attack togepi and I was debating on just using glitzer popping the move on to togepi to avoid playing either of the games.

Sorry if this isn't the place but when I tried to use the E-reader on emulator it instantly gives me a 'Read Error' despite not actually doing anything. I'm not sure what this could be because it worked when I tried it before. Same emulator and E-reader rom as before as well. If this has happened to anyone let me know.
just scan the cards with the drop down and press a on read error and it'll scan
That's what I've been doing but it seems like they aren't registering somehow. When I try to scan them using the 'scan e-reader dot codes' from the file drop down nothing happens.@@imablisy

its fairly straightforward, but you need either a modded 3ds to inject the event into your game, an android phone with a hotspot with no password, or a 20-25 year old wifi router that uses wep encryption.

Hey this maybe a dumb question but is there an advantage to finding perfect shinies rather than just getting a shiny, then bottle capping the IVs in later gens?
there isn't, I just do it cuz it's cool looking.
There are some Pokemon that want minimum speed or attack for certain teams which this can do but bottle caps can't
@@SirToastyToes yea like 0 attack for foul play and 0 speed for trick room, but like for pokemon who want max ivs I was wondering if it had an advantage to naturally have 31 ivs instead of battle capping them up.
@@TopazIsGood The only functional difference is that Hyper Training can't be inherited, so this could be useful on a Ditto for passing down stats, but yeah as blisy said there's the cool factor 😎
