2007-2009 Was interesting period, when you had IFSA/Arnold/Fortissimus, and each one of them showed the World strongest Man more accurate than WSM itself.
My only complaint about this contest is the video editing; they cut out most of the lifts! Please release them all to youtube, whoever has them. Fans want to see every lift.
Canadian fans are super supportive and very loud. There was 1 day event, Hugo won, the fans were so insanely loud, Svend grabbed the microphone and personally thanked the crowd for their support.
Specifically, French Canadian fans. There is a history of appreciation for the sport in Quebec you won't find in the rest of Canada. They had Louis Cyr and many others.
If you threw an ordinary working-class man from a past age into the 21st century, he would not understand our society, its strange values and technologies -- but I guarantee he would appreciate and understand a strongman contest. It transcends all cultural divisions; it is universal and timeless: real men testing their strength against heavy rocks. A man from any century would get that.
There are many in the 19th and early 20 centuries who did performances for show, for money, as part of circuses and sideshows. In Quebec there is a history of this. Cyr is the most well known. From this the strongman sport evolved. WSM revived it in the 1970s, growing out of powerlifting and past strongmen traditions. Now strongman and strongwoman are international sports with paid professionals. It has really evolved.
These competitions were incredible, 10 events and every one of them was hard and complex
Great contest, Great to see Derek Boyer back in action
I wish someone would bring this contest back, undoubtedly the hardest SM contests ever, just brutal!
Man, Colin is just... THE VOICE of Strongman, huh?
Just for this British edition of the show. The other editions do not have Colin

very true wsm was shıt in those days
@lordmegatron6145 about truth, WSM was nothing compared to these other competitions from 2005 to 2008 .
Oh, and The Best overhead medley i've ever seen.
Thanks man , never knew about this competition.
Great upload!!❤
Thank you for uploading all these
It’s so interesting to see Brian here, the up and coming youngster and dubbed the future of the sport
WSM gets the attention, but Fortissimus was a far superior contest of strength. I wish it had continued!
Thank you. I didn't know there was footage of this
Great upload 👊 one of my prized possessions is a Poundstone shirt from this comp 💪
Wow, I'm not sure I knew there was a Eurosport version of this. Very nice! :)
Thank you for these great uploads!

My god....were there enough angles on power stairs? How about just a view of the competitors racing from a short distance away? lol
Awesome, thank you!

I disagree that Louis Cyr was the Strongestman, I think they forgot Louis uni (Apollon) they are singular in the 19thcentury.

Thanks for difusión this materials, is very important for the support of sports and good health of the life 🎵🛸🏋🏼♀️🙋🏻♂️🧠🇨🇴 Hi Colombia!! 🏋🏼♀️🙋🏻♂️
This is what worlds strongest man should be not those fast medley events
The overhead medley seems designed to make all the guys fail except Z -- the only guy with that kind of pressing power.
Why Pfister did not get the rep in the squat, would not be supprised if someone knocks out the judge.
I always felt the referees were too strict in these strongman events, especially Magnus. Locking out is required but why? In early WSM they were not.
What about last events? Is it possible to upload shaw classic 2021?
Illegal and does not compare to fortimmus
Do you have any of the ultimate strongman series?
I do have some Ultimate Strongman competitions but they are removed because of copyright when I try to upload them.
@@strongmanvhs8125 You can try to post them on daily motion.
Brian has done a shitty job trying with smoe. He attempted to model it after this contest which is epic by comparison
where is Pussynowski ?
Brycey said in the commentary that pudz was concentrating on wsm. He would have struggled here anyway.
