Was expecting 500+ hp to move around 5.5 0-60
We test drove a Wagoneer yesterday and we were impressed at how smooth the standard output twin turbo was . Overall, a very nice full size SUV .
There no way 0-30 was that slow. Over 4 seconds would be slower than anything else out on the road. Def very high elevation and no brake boost.
Remember this a heavy ass suv, so fuckin heavy that I saw one flip making a turn around a curb in a Fry’s parking lot. It was a Grand Wagoneer brand new, lady was driving, smashed the whole right side all the airbags deployed it was crazy. Why you need that much power in a vehicle designed like that I will never know.
Was expecting more, this motor would lose pretty bad in a street light romp to any 6.2 LS or 5.0 Coyote pickup
Sorry, only a V-8 will do, I don’t buy spade or neutered trucks
I bet these had 87 octane in them
Slow by today's standards
Both are slow! Must have been on the top of a high mountain!
A 6.7L Cummins diesel would be better.
Good video and I was interested in this comparison.
I think I drove the base 3.0tt the other day. It pulls harder at 2500 rpm than my Avalon does at nearly 4k rpm.
Was this done in a high altitude area? If so, that would make sense. Motorweek tested the 2023 Grand Wagoneer 0-60 mph in 4.9 sec; 1/4 mile in 13.5 sec@104 mph. Plus I test drove a Grand Wagoneer, and that thing moves out really well for a big SUV. I live in sea level altitude area.
wow, the torque comes on late (high in the RPM Range) compared to other 6cyl turbos
540/520 ho 420/469 regular hurricane ...also try letting us know which rear axle ratio each truck has !!!! all important info
Might sell more if they made reg cab short box
Combine two of these into a 6.0 liter inline 12 making twice as much💪lol
Was this test done in colorado or somewhere with high altitude? I swore the HO hurricane could even give the escalade V a run for its money but according to the test even fords ecoboost gots it beat 🤷🏻♂️
That’s slower than a hemi
Why is the high output one slower ? That's piss poor performance , nice and quiet though .
