The largest piss-take (assuming it's not permit locked and we can physically reach it) would be that Raxxla is somewhere in the black between stars and just to take the piss further is also moving.
There were several Dark wheel stations in Shinrarta Dezra that were removed before full release one IIRC was called the Dark Mausoleum, perhaps they'll be added at a later date as new lore content
I became allied with the Dark Wheel faction recently just for the heck of it... figured why not... just in case at some point in the future it triggers some storyline with Raxxla. They are located in Shinrarta Dezhra .. both on that station and on the planet-side base. I wish there was some rough lead rather than.. nothing.. as to where the heck it is. But maybe in an upcoming season hints will begin to be released.

Interesting that Fdev have confirmed people have been to the system containing Raxxla, honked, and then promptly left. Really makes me wonder if this is going to be a needle in a haystack type of thing (like the alien ruins pre planetary scans) or if there are obvious signs that something is amiss. If I know Fdev, it's going to be an extremely easy-to-miss or near impossible to find marker.
Being new to Elite Dangerous, I would love to see more on the lore of Elite . Have read Reclamation and presently reading Premonition and could use all the lore info you can pass on. Being a Noob I have done the tutorials but have yet to fly my first mission, I need to change that. Just wanted to say Thanks for all the hard work you put in, it is appreciated.
I remember reading the original novella which also served as a form of copy protection for the amiga version at least...called 'the dark wheel' (its online if you look for it )- remember in wychspace everyone can hear you scream! lol, it would be pretty cool if they implimented that bit with the automated droids coming to rescue you after ship destruction,,,,still a good read tho.... food for thought maybe the raxxla thing is analogous to the fact the original game had multiple galaxies but you had to buy a single use galactic hyperdrive to jump to each galaxy
You know that Raxxla is going to end being the GM island of Elite Dangerous, which why the Devs know where it is but we'll never find it. We weren't supposed to find the one in WoW, but someone eventually did and was banned. The 'assassin' that was spoken of. On Raxxla there is a portal to other universes, and is populated by "elites" that exploit those resources. GMs. The assassin is the banhammer.

Yeah I found it very interesting. I do like videos that dive deep into finding something unique in the game regarding exploration even though i am not a explorer myself I personally would like to find something in the game with substance.
I think Raxxla is the ‘Sleeping God’ in Peter F. Hamilton’s Night’s Dawn Trilogy. An artificially created sentient naked singularity able to create wormholes of any size to places of any distance away, and even to other planes/spacetimes. 🙂

Head to the tionisla system then to planet 9A make sure your orbital lines are on , you will see theres something going around planet 9A but nothings there, b4 last update i was in a mulit crew i went there saw on my navigation panel between 9A and 9B there was a system icon it was called 9a+b , i travelled there recently but i never saw that icon again
Dang it. Now I feel tempted to retrace all my visited star systems and really LOOK at all the planets.... they could at least say in which sector of the galaxy this system is.

The Dark Wheel has been searching for Raxxla for a thousand years and they still haven't found it. We should probably learn what kinda missions they want us to do and then do just the opposite. Has anyone else seeing "Other" show up as a planetary point of interest for gas giants. I just ran across it in a populated system. I thought it was the orbiting base, but not sure.
It was strange to use that word in the Raxxla description. I like the English "wanderlust" much better. I was rereading the Codex for Raxxla, and something seems off about many of the word choices, and it's not just a British thing. They've used some really weird words for the subject matter.

Would it be too extreme if becoming triple Elite was the first step on the quest to find Raxxla? Personally I think this should be the case, I see Raxxla as the end game (or beginning?) Having triple Elite as a requirement would separate a large portion of the community, but the lesser percentage of Commanders who have achieved this would deserve it, I'm still far from triple but I just don't want to Raxxla to become a mere tourist site or a pit full of gankers and new Commanders who don't fully understand or know of the lore behind it. (No offence to new commanders, we all start somewhere)
maybe the player discovert raxxla but was forced to keep it secret from the dark wheel and frontier, maybe the dark wheel exists and they are real players that fly around us. i'm scared D:

If you mean the settlement that shows up when displaying civilization, then no. You can actually jump there and visit the system, ship has to be able to jump at least 40 lightyears or so because the "stepping stones" are rather far off through the permit locked region.
My friend, i believe 100% Raxxla does not exist for now and is a ''FRONTIER'' marketing trick (for many years) to continue play and search and keep guessing the players.....Thats all.....Perhaps later in to the future patch, maybe join something like ''Raxxla''

That info you shared is from the picture book 'The Alien World' by Steven Eisler, a pen-name of Robert Holdstock's who wrote the original Elite's game manual and the accompanying novella 'The Dark Wheel'. I suspect that in order to find Raxxla, one must first figure out how to get the Dark Wheel to contact you. I'm basing this off the information found in the novel "And Here the Wheel," which details the "Circle of Independent Elite Pilots (basically the Dark Wheel)." I suspect that the way to get them to contact you, is to get triple Elite, and then try to find a station orbiting a specific moon of a specific gas giant, perhaps you can trigger this by becoming allied with the Dark Wheel at the Founder's World? I'm currently double Elite, working on Combat now (it's going slow, my man). Once I hit triple, I'm going to do as many missions as I can for The Dark Wheel.

Is really interesting concept in the game and so especially now in codex I/we hope is more yet to be found but somehow I feel is permit locked bollox that we will sadly never see with THIS game. Probably but its a future update kind of thing, maybe when Frontier gets ready to introduce the next iteration of the Elite series it will be an event.
