Generation Zero. Welcome to 1980's Sweden. The local population has disappeared, and hostile machines roam the streets fight off the hostile machines solo or with a team, scavenge for weapons and loot in the fight to survive and find out what or who caused all of this.
My gameplay walkthrough will include main missions kicking some robot arse safe house unlocks collectibles skill unlocks as we try to find out what went wrong, oh and any and all goodies we come across whilst playing !
The mini gun needs a backpack mod that just puts all of your 7.62 ammo into the mag, so it won't stop until you let go of the trigger, or you run out of ammo.😂

Double the mag with 200% modyfication, add hip fire mod, and with 700 ammo in mag you can take apocalypse tank on guerilla difficulty easy. No need ammo backpack for this. That would be too much of a convenience.

I think that animation for the grenade launcher could have been a lot better by tipping the grenade launcher. To empty all the shells. then Start reloading instead of pulling each shell out one at a time.
I agree, however I think the grenade launcher sucks. I primarily use the EMP rounds and just switch to either the shotgun the mini gun or another rifle and just keep bouncing back-and-forth between EMP and another firearm, it drops them pretty fast.

If we are going for such an animation, to make it more realistic, when reloading one grenade, the entire magazine would have to be reloaded. Because he threw all the grenades away.The advantage of this animation is that you can reload one or two grenades while changing position. The wrong approach when using this weapon is to empty the entire magazine at once.You shoot one grenade, correct it with the second one if it wasn't enough, then correct it with the third one (there shouldn't be any improvement with the third one). You change position by replenishing 1 or 2 grenades fired and return to the action With the previous grenade launcher you had 1 shot and few people used it because loading took forever when you had to correct the shot. This grenade launcher brought new life to this type of ammunition.
People seem to underestimate the power of the minigun + emp's. You may not have lots of ammo in the mag, or rather the weapon runs through it insanely fast, but that's more than enough to EMP an annoying tank or harvester, run up to it and basically completely disarm them point blank with that one single EMP
For the frame drops on console, it appears that birdshot and the mini gun trigger it pretty often. Shows you how authentic they wanted it to be lol.
Actually, any smoke or fire will make it drop. Basically, particle generation is causing CPU overload.
Buck, machine guns, fore, smoke, gas and sparks drop my frame too : (
@@oscarfunez3806yeah, lots of things trigger it but I can pretty consistently get it with the two things I mentioned. Hope they optimize it soon or maybe add a ps5 version.
Even if it's a ps4 version on ps5 it still lags a lot
I spawned my first Vulture north of crater in the Farmlands Region & my Reaper was in the crater. I lured the Vulture to the Reaper & they fought each other. The vulture was the 1st to go down, Then the Reaper. Any other machine that entered the fight got destroyed by either me or the 2 bosses & I got the new experimental. Overall a 10/10 fight. Now my only question is where is the Vulture boss blueprint at?

I did the same at the crater north of the air base. They're so busy with each other i could pick them apart. Still, no experimental AI-76 though

100%. If you load the MGL with EMP grenades you can EMP your target, then unload with whatever you have. If thats the minigun, you will delete your target with about 400-450 rounds of 7.62. The SPAS loaded with buck can easily take down hunters, runners, and lynxes while the deagle combines the firepower of a revolver with the firerate of a semi automatic pistol. If you bring a sniper and lmg/assault rifle (minigun is too heavy and uses too much ammo for regular use) this pack gives you everything you need.
Good idea, works like a charm, still prefer abusing artillery with all sorts of explosives though
So I’ve been experimenting with the minigun and here are my thoughts on the augments. Try to get tank topper as primary augments(idk if that’s what it’s called, does more damage to bigger enemies) and then for secondary augment get hip fire accuracy. You’ll never aim down sights again and you’ll get more bang for your mag with the extra damage of the primary augment. I play on the hardest difficulty and it takes about 3 mags just to kill an apocalypse tank. Definitely worth the grind for the augments too.
Thats what I put on the mini gun as well, Titan Toppler and Hip firen Hip fire helps alot with this gun for accuracy
I have a 3 variant of mini-gun. 1. for base def EMP and H-F 2. Fast reload and extendet mags also for base defend 3. For Destroy Ripper - titan toppler and H-F (Hip Fire is a just must have perk for all weapons in game)
Do you mean skills ? Or did they add weapon augmentation? I haven't played since the update that gave us dogs

The Condor pistol has a non-reciprocating barrel and scope mounts clearly visible. This with a scope or red dot would be much more interesting
Condor recoil is somewhat ridiculous. Having an extra Magnus muzzle brake makes things much easier

If you want to get the most out of the Spaz-12 and most importantly the Minigun I recommend you max out the hip fire and recoil skills in the skill tree combined with the Unstoppable Shells and Hip Shooter augmentations, both become VERY accurate and stable @WIRED GAMING

I have found that the new experimental is perfect for the reaper cuz it can one shot the shield gens on the reapers legs and will take its machine gun off in 5 hits. The rockets and napalm are easy to avoid so once u get the shields and machine gun off just spam rockets till he goes to destroy himself and then just use a legendary minigun with titan toppler and shock ammo and the fight will take like 15-25 minutes depending on how many times he does the napalm attack.
it's a shame that didn't give the grenade launcher a second reload animation for when you fire all 6 rounds because you could easily just dump them all out then reload that way to make it a little bit faster

Yes, these weapons are mostly for fun, but then again, having fun is actually important in a game! So I've already bought the pack.
I have the N144 and it is so far the BEST weapon in the game especially since it not only deals the most damage (even more than the RLG-7 and the Granatgevär m/49) but if you add the both the GOLD "Titan Topper" and the GOLD "Oversized Magazine" augmentations it will have a 700 round magazine and 20% extra damage to the big machines (Tanks, Wolves, Harvesters, Firebirds, Reaper and Vultures) mine currently has the silver for the magazine size which makes it hold 595 round clip and I took out 2 FINX tanks with less then 1 clip. IT IS AWESOME 😎
The grenade launcher would be a first contact weapon. Six rounds to slow everybody down and thin out the poor bloody infantry, and then switch to another weapon, until you got a breather and could reload. Sod running around defenceless for ten seconds! The mini gun would be perfect for a short range Reaper. The shields go down and you blast an entire magazine before they go up again, then hide and reload. It's way too inaccurate to use at any sort of range, but looks great fun...
Yup, the new pack is AWESOME! Just the mini gun alone is fantastic, but the rest of the weapons are too!
So far the new 44 mag has been fun
It's my new favorite sidearm, the Spas is one of my new favorite primary weapons, it's been a good pack so far, and the new grenade launcher's great too
I usually save the minigun for tanks, vultures, wolves and harvesters. Titan toppler and the hip fire augment is a pretty powerful combo

the only gun im using most is the shotgun, its badass, so OP. the best thing this for it is to use buckshot and the mod can be attached to it to reduse the grouping along with the gold shotty choke, tight grouping but not that much, good range and shoots fast
I like the pack alot.
The Iron Condor while you have to be close has excellent grouping for hipfire which will let you not have to fight the recoil as much and hit targets at further range.
The RACS-12 is a wonderful shotgun great at close and downing large machines fairly quickly. I put Titan Toppler 3 and Hip Shooter 3 on it. This allows me to eleminate all recoil and spread for slugs, buck shot at ranges from point blank to around 100m with no drop off. And Birdshot at close and medium ranges allowing me to do full damage being further away from machines to dodge attacks much easier.
For the MGR-4 It is very entertaining to use and quite powerful just eats rounds pretty quickly.
The N144 minigun is tons of fun to use powerful and able to spam rounds down rang an ode to "Accuracy by Volume of Fire" O find giving this Hip Shooter is also incredably viable but while it can tak out large machines quickly ammo efficency and damage per shot falls behinf the M60 and PM-71.
Purrsonally my current Favorite weapons i tend to take are usually the Iron Condor (Titan Toppler 3, Hit and Run 2), PM-71 (Titan Toppler 3, Scope Scout 2), 5-crown PVG-90 (Titan Toppler 3, Scope Scout 2), and RACS-12 (Titan Toppler 3, Hip Shooter 3)
The RACS-12 does very well with lvl 2 augments on both sides for those on the low respuce side

Not sure if anyone else mentioned this but........ First off yes the reloading is longer than normal but it'll be worth it in my opinion, 2nd new MGR grenade launcher can be augmented with the "oversized magazine" which will give you (if you have the gold 3 star one) basically a full 6 round capacity. I only have the silver one and it's holding 10 rounds.
The minigun is great at destroying the destructible gate things in bases, it takes like two seconds

N144 350 rd capacity is clearly an homage to 16 bit Doom. It's the 7.62 version of the experimental kvm89 you didn't know you needed
Hip fire with the minigun it be better i always use the Grenade launcher Emp get behind them it just destory them in about 150 to 200 rounds sometimes u kill them before it hits 190 rounds depends where u minigun them i killed 5 reapers with it by far with it other that its great weapon to have when ur back is against the wall i am tryin to get the 5 crown launcher i didnt think the Russain machines had them i been on the DLC island tryin to get the launcher 5 corwn xD

The RACS-12 shotgun is very powerful. I find the Iron condor to be more accurate when hip fired

When using the mini gun find a 5 crowns or even as low as a 2 crown and put the acidic modifier on AND IT MELTS THE ENEMIES! Btw I killed a harvester in 5 seconds with the mini gun modified with the acidic trait

The mini gun with the oversized mag augment can be 700 rounds i kind of wish it has a 500 round mag so it's 1,000 per mag

It should appear in your storage, not your inventory. Always spawn is a 3 star weapons.
I cannot retrieve my companion from my storage.
So what you want to do is make sure you have a different character with the robo pet unlocked. Then you need to just place it on the ground on that 2nd character, then make sure it's not showing up in the storage box. After that you should be good to go back to the first character and go to the pet modification station, then it should spawn the pet after you change a component on the pet
Love the shotgun does loads of damage. Mini gun jumps everywhere and you can Berley move with it.
I augmented it with hip fire and it’s very manageable now.

I believe this update is badass, including the new weapon pack, which is very so much fun However, I have encountered so much performance issues. Despite playing on a PlayStation 5 with a stable internet connection, my game frequently crashes during multiplayer sessions. Additionally, there is so much lag when using the minigun or shotgun. Furthermore, my robot companion is stuck in the storage container, and I am unable to retrieve it.😑😑😑

I will admit $3 US Dollars for a DLC is pretty cheap when most games cost $20 to $30 for a DLC, but Gen Zero needs to fix the ammo issue in this game, especially the crafting garbage, the material requirements need to be greatly reduced and the quantity greatly increased, also enemies need to drop what your using no matter what it is, the new expirimental hunting rifle will never be used at its current state, WAY to costly per shot, 18 ultra capacitors per shot hahahahahh no thanks

Have to say its not worth it.
Handguns in general aren't worth taking, even the experimental is typically just a give-or-take backup. And looking down sights is how to do it in this game, making the first gun less preferable than at least 20 other weapons in the game.
Shotgun can be good. Its just a matter if you prefer the other semi-auto or not. This one can dish out damage faster, but takes longer to reload. So you're shooting less, but hurting machines just as much. Which its just a matter of preferring to be engaged more in combat, or if you like to perform quick hit & runs. Ultimately I prefer the former play style, especially in the open, so its not for me.
Grenade launchers in general are kinda useless. Shorter range and less accurate than the rocket launchers. The one benefit of the other grenade launcher has over rocket launchers, is the shorter reload time, making it great for firing out a quick EMP round, which this one doesn't have the benefit of.
And the minigun, which I was willing to get this whole pack for... Not worth it. As you said, its just for fun. Too much recoil to reliably hit components, and carrying enough ammo for even a 5 minute fight, let alone ammo for other weapons, is not viable. Not to mention that, crafting or looting, getting enough ammo to make it worth it, is going to take several hours at least. Its taken me the past 5hrs just to stock up on 3000 7.62mm rounds for my KVM to use in an upcoming reaper fight. I think the only way the minigun could be worth it, is if it pulled ammo not just from you, but from all storage as well, in the same way that base building or weapon augments work with resources.
So in my eyes, not worth it. All this pack does is increase the game's item pool, thus reducing the chance of finding the 5-crown variants of the guns and weapon parts I actually want to have. Making the game's grind less bearable than it already is. In a way, I want to uninstall some of the packs I already have for that reason.
If I were to buy & install any single weapon pack, it would be the US Weapons Pack 2, which comes with the great COM-10 SMG, decent S21 rifle, and more utilitarian G79 grenade launcher. Everything else is give or take. Which is a shame, because the minigun & Resistance Pack's bow & flamethrower could've been great if they had some tweaks.

Pistol doesn't let you use sights.
Shotgun is awful at the hip and the ADS picture has the shotgun blocking so much of the screen.
The Grenade Launcher takes forever to reload meaning low DPS overall compared to other weapons. Good to start a fight maybe but switch weapons instead of reloading.
The Minigun would be a great gun in a different game but it is not a weapon designed to work well in Generation Zero. It just fails in so many aspects.
1. Fighting machines in GZ involved targeting weak spots and weapon hard points to weaken them. The minigun just sprays bullets everywhere.
2. Surviving machines in GZ required quick movement and reactions. You need to almost always be on the move and quickly so, to avoid the vast number of weapons the enemy has at its disposal. The Minigun slows your walking speed down to a crawl. Making you a sitting duck.
3. Resource management is a core aspect of GZ. Meaning you want to be saving your bullets if you can, unless you are fortunate to have a large supply. The minigun uses far too many bullets to cause damage to the enemy. Likely making you use far more bullets than you recieve in return. Again, this might be a cool weapon and lots of fun. But it is a weapon completely incompatible with Generation Zero in all important aspects.
Far better options are already in game.
The Com-10 has a fast fire rate that doesn't burn through bullets like no ones business.
The rocket launcher likely achieves a better DPS overall once the GL reload is factored in. Especially so when the Experimental one is used with its double fire. The Sjöqvist shotgun is also semi automatic.
So to answer the question: Yes
very worth it

The iron condor is, imo, the best one of the bunch. Its fast, powerful, readily available ammo, and really hard too aim! Hipfiring is just way better, having to aim with a HUGE sights on the thing is a pain in the ass.
