Ok. I came from PS3 and i decided to get Xbox One because of a few exclusives. I am beyond happy with Xbox One and i will probably not go back to PlayStation. Yes i've played on PS4 and wasn't impressed. I am glad that I switched and would recommend everyone who is having trouble making a decision to also.

Snowjocky55 I got Xbox one and apart from a few troubling software bugs I am really happy as well. I like the PS4 well enough but I'm one of those people that starts with Microsoft and then gets the other products later. The big kicker for me was that the PS4 still has a controller that is too small for my hands and xbox seems to be smarter and has bigger better controllers...that and I hated the PS4 controller light that's always on.

+Zaflashowany its a better heater, my energy bills have halfed since I bought that thing. It really came in handy for xmas, that and using it as a doorstop on xmas day to let the heat run through the house. really handy piece of hardware you know, the lack of games is really a blessing in disguise as it means I spend less money too

sorry but im not why would I? lol a few ppl I know have the xboxone as soon as it came out... I asked the guy at this games store which is better and all at the same time these 3 nerds behind the counter went "PS4"... I went with the Xboxone anyway just as I bought it the guys comes to me knowing I was unsure and said "ill do you a favour if you dont like the Xbox and want to swap it you can swap it in 48 hours for a PS4" (with some money back aswell) he said all this with a smile like he knew Xbox wasnt better.. I took it home , the things ugly big huge cable for the camera that ill never use... the start up screen and the stupid little man thing annoys me , reminded me of my x360.. then I bought BF4 for the xboxone and the graphics kinda sucked it just didnt wow me at all... next day boxed it up sent that heap of shit back... plugged my PS4 in.. same game BF4 and u can just see the difference clearer more colours overall better experience ..PS4 is a more powerful machine anyway.. as soon as I walked in the shop the manager laughed and said "u wanna swap right?" everyone knows PS4 is better thats why its out selling xbox like a bitch

1. It plays good Squaresoft games. I know, amazing.
2. It plays really good Enix games. Even more amazing. Fancy that.
3. I don't need to ask permission or sign a contract to play my games, nor do I need to fear Nintendo will ever attempt to make me do so.
4. Sharing with my family consists of simply PLUGGING IN ANOTHER CONTROLLER. That's a neat trick.
5. My SNES, get this, doesn't recognize my face at all. It's a gaming console. It doesn't give a shit about seeing my face. It loves me for who I am, not what I look like.
6. If I require online gameplay, I call my friends and we get together in a room to play the game. I know, eewww, what with all that touching and face-to-face contact. You know THAT'S not good for you.
You don't need to be some hipster to enjoy a SNES. You do, however, need to be a complete moron to think that buying Microsoft's products will in any way benefit you in the future. If they did ever go back to their original product scheme, not only would they lose any FUTURE install base but their CURRENT install base at X time of reinstating the original features (which they won't do but for sake of argument I'm saying this) will drop them like a hot potato money drives capitalism and unless they have a continual cycle of people buying their products they don't make money simply SELLING the console is not sufficient for a long term business plan and THAT is why those features will NOT be reinstated.

WOW most of you guys have some real problems... I love the ideas of Xbox One and respect PS4... But I'm not quite sure that PS4 will be able to handle K4, or that it won't wither in competition to Xbox One's ability to ease peoples communication needs... Whether you own tablets (iPad, Windows 8 tab, Samsung or other) or a mobile phone (iPhone, Windows 8 mobile, Nokia 1520, Galaxy S4 etc.) You will be able to communicate through one portal thanks to SmartGLASS... That's pretty innovative, as aforementioned the Xbox One has been developed to fit future games as well with it's K4 capability... That's innovative gaming, and there are 15 titles available at launch, of which 8 are IP games. Another cool feature is the kinnect's advanced photon detection system... That's also pretty innovative I think... I mean they are offering technologies that some joke companies a few years back would charge a 1000.00 USD for... WELCOME TO THE FUTURE! Embrace change! ;-)

Foil. Your quote is also wrong. Xb1 and ps4 both can video out up to 4k. This is for streaming and still photos. Not for computing at a 4k res. Two different things. Ie. A blu ray with 4k res will stream that pre rendered video out thru the systems. But that is totally different from computing millions bytes of data at 4k. It is an all in ONE Gaming console .. you can actually change from playing games to hearing musics,to watch tv,to browse internet,etc. And you can even use the SNAP feature doing two things at a time!! while your game is setting up you can watch your favorite tv show or live events...!
plus if you go and look at whats being said about the consoles gaming specs. theyre virtually the same. i will admit yes ps4 has a small advantage but its not a massive one that makes it a no brainer when it comes to being better for gaming. it doesnt allow much change in the looks or play style of the games you will play as opposed to xbox

The one legitimate complaint I've heard from Sony users about XBox is the paid membership. Honestly, though, I like it. The first reason is that if you can't afford $5 a month, you're too young to be playing most of the games that require online for the full fun (COD, BF, etc.). Secondly, the servers function better. I even did a test with a friends PS4 once compared to the Xbox one. The Xbox one signed in faster and connected to Destiny's servers faster. Both consoles were tested simultaneously.

I don't like that you always have to be online to play and the camera is always staring at you and plus it doesn't show you any of the games that it is going to be releasing except the basics that are being released later, I wish they would tell you what is going to be released at leased a number of games besides halo and god of war and of course dead rising.

Probably nobody knows this, but the reason PS3 can connect to your Facebook account (besides posting trophies), is to display your real name to friends. Any game that supports the Facebook name feature (I use it on Uncharted 3), shows your Facebook name instead of your gamertag. It's nice though that Xbox will allow you to use your real name, although most people will fake their names for fun.

That's the thing,MS would offer software updates that increase RAM, storage, etc. by delegating things to the cloud. So it would pop up on your screen, and you click confirm. And as far as cloud storage, everyone gets 5gb for free on 360
This is just the beginning of the Xbox One. I'm pretty sure in the future the Xbox One will be able to operate 1440 resolution, 1000 GB hardrive, and better hardware. Just like the Xbox 360. Went from 80GB hardrive to 320GB.

I've tried the face sign in on someone else's console. It doesn't work.
im pretty sure u have to had sign in at one point manually so u can input ur password and email and all that so if u go to another persons house it doesnt sign you in accidentally then they wud have access to ur credit card

The only reason I tried it is the advertising makes it look like I should be able to stand in front of any new console and be signed in automatically.
Even my xbox one doesn't sign me in sometimes so it was never going to,work on anyone's, my xbox one has signed my dog in as me! Martyn James i go through points where it works flawlesslyand its amazing but theres also times where i just stare at my screen until i decide to sign in manually lol it helps if u chose "i was not recognized" because then it re scans ur face and i find it works better after that

This is simply what i do. I have an Xbox one for social games, GTA V, COD, Minecraft and so on, and than i have a Beast PC for games that deserve the graphics like Far cry 4, Battlefield, Titanfall. I'm not a fanboy of either i just enjoy having a way to play the right way:P

Reason 1: I can play up to 24hrs without internet connection.
Reason 2: I can't share used games with my friends.
Reason 4: I can't play without a camera attached to it.
Reason 5: It supports 4k (even though launching titles barely hold 30/60fps at 720p)
Reason 6: I can replace the functions of my smart tv with it, for just 4.99 extra per month :D
Reason 7: Kinect 2.0 will make sure I watch all the advertisements.

Also, Microsoft could offer larger amounts of cloud storage simply by building more servers. It's funny how all the people from 360 went to ps4 just cause the one isn't what people expected. What he just explained is awesome to me.
Xbox One is running on the Windows kernel, so games don't have to be ported for the console. The PS4 cross platform games have to be ported thus going through a layer of abstraction, which is a performance disadvantage.
Remember, games are developed on PCs.

The Kinect can tell if you are talking to it - TV ad says "Xbox Play Titanfall", Xbox loads Titanfall.
As for pc gamers, the fact is, there are many many amazing games that do not make it to pc.. No ones saying Xbox/ps4 will be any more powerful than your pc, however they will be far better optimised .
It doesn't have to always be connected to online. Just a day one update and that's it. The kinect doesn't need to be hooked up so it won't always be watching you. God of War? I think you are talking Sony. As for the games. There are about 18 launch titles that are announced and have a ton of detail describing them around the web.

Yes, I do know the light isn't needed. But my point is that for motion control it is. Xbox One can do the same thing without having a big, battery-draining light on its controller.
And I just checked you facts for the camera quality... The PS2 EyeToy is only 240p while the Kinect is 480p. Yeah, I do admit, 480p is lame for 2010, but it was probably a cost-effective measure.
The cloud won't make any system more powerful. It only takes part of the computing away from the xbox system. It computes this and then streams it back to the xbox. So if anything it's more of a crouch for both consoles. Not a bad crouch. But still. And 4 k. Omg. Really. This system can output 4k doesn't mean games will run at 4k. It has a by pass feature for video in and out. The systems computing power has nothing to do with this. It's a hardware by pass allowing a 4k signal to pass through the xbox in and the out to a 4k tv. The xbox doesn't even have the power to run 1080 p native. Let alone 4k. These review guys need to tell the truth more of what these systems can really do.

I just like the controller. The snap thingy is pretty cool though. Makes things like twitch more easily accessible. Is nice. I like.

I use both, at the same time on the same monitor/T.V. sometimes.
That first point is only limited to the amount of bandwidth available because that information needs to go to their servers and back to your game. Not to mention the lag oh god.
You can get a half decent gaming PC for the same price. Invest maybe 100-150$ more for a GPU, and you get something that exceeds Xbox's performance. But hey, if you like talking to a box, get the Xbox.
You can play your Xbox 360 games through the Xbox One by hooking up your 360 to your Xbox One is what I heard. I watched a video and they mentioned it. It uses the same technology that it uses to connect your satellite or cable.
Usually people just like the console/PC they used first. Not judging because I did that too. I played Xbox before anything and I like PS4 but I prefer Xbox one.
