In my personal experience. Elevating your laptop on some books so that the intake vents can get more air prevented plenty of frame drops. Also i would highly recomment setting your maximum fps to your screen refresh rate e.g: 60 fps for 60 hz. It prevents frame drops

as a depressed dell laptop user, i can confirm this works properly. long ago after the kay/o update my game started to crash easily so i quit the game. once i came back to the game, though the fps was unplayable. until i saw this video, my fps got alot smoother than the time i played before the kay/o update (stable 60 fps). tysm my guy

firstly thank you very much, before i could only play on the lowest resolution but now i can play at my monitors resolution (and with 60 fps). Secondly, i would reccomend to have at least 60 for the resolution because it looks pixelated especially when you're aiming down sight.

Hey guys I had a laptop, if you put maximum process limit to 100 you have lag while plugged in (only laptop) so keep it at 85 to 90 for best experience and no lag and it won't effect your fps might be a 1fps drop so yeah 👍

Hello. I was just wondering. During in game, my FPS is perfectly fine, just my ping spikes a lot which is fine because i know that its my wifi entirely, and in game my FPS is amazing. However, when I go into agent select, it doesn’t load up the screen and I can’t choose my agent and ends up dodging the game and I can’t play. Either that or it loads when I have 10 seconds left to choose my agent and I don’t get to play any of my mains which is a struggle. Do you know how to fix this?

ofc, ik this is an old comment but, I highly suggest you put post processing at 1 or 2 (depends on your pc), so that loading screens wont take an eternity
pls dont turn off vsync. it makes the game smoother, as it syncs the ingame fps with the monitor refresh rate, making the game appear much smoother. also, set the overall limiter to about 30 fps so the pc doesnt try to get pst that, giving u a much better overall performance. and turning off the bloom effect will not affect ur fps at all.
vsync is only horrible to mid-high end pc. for potato-low end pc i really suggest u to turn it on. with limited hardwares u can not expect a perfect gameplay. speaking from my experience, id rather have a few milliseconds input delay than constant screen tearing and fps drops. u can put your crosshair slightly to the side anyways to adjust the input delay. with no vsync on, i could get 80-140 fps by changing my resolution to 640×480 but that dont mean shit if the fps could drop to 0 on gunfights + my laptop screen is only 60hz

I’m just now trying my hand at pc gaming, I’m using a not so great laptop so it doesn’t really count but I’m saving up for the rig and all that. When I play the main problem I have is when abilities go off or when I first get into a gunfight there’s like a spike of lag or stutter. Brother turned Valorant into Minecraft, it works tho! I'm getting 100-140 fps now whereas I originally used to get 30-60. Did one change to maximise the fps for me (turned off all 'limit fps' except the background one{set to 30} and it increased fps range by 30). Lets see if I rank up now - ____ -

Yeah I know , many faced this problem. There are 2 possibilities due to bad network or due to gpu
Also happened to me. Then I transfered my game frm hdd to sdd. Now it's ok.

Ur completely wrong, vsync is horrible to gameplay since it rises the latency, and 30hz isn't playable, especially in higher elos
Bloom affects fps a lot, but only when lights are appearing, so when u shoot or someone uses a ability, bloom will fuck your fps

i think if you change the resoulation scale, it changes the resoulation scale of all the models and everything, i also want to set it higher, because when reducing the res. scale i cant see enemy's heads!

I’m just now trying my hand at pc gaming, I’m using a not so great laptop so it doesn’t really count but I’m saving up for the rig and all that. When I play the main problem I have is when abilities go off or when I first get into a gunfight there’s like a spike of lag or stutter. I’m hooked up with an Ethernet cable so I don’t think it’s my internet and I’ve already lowered all the settings I can think of, anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Brother turned Valorant into Minecraft, it works tho! I'm getting 100-140 fps now whereas I originally used to get 30-60.
Did one change to maximise the fps for me (turned off all 'limit fps' except the background one{set to 30} and it increased fps range by 30).
