I don't think so :P You can see the new XP Rates and math out the numbers in an evening to come up with a strategy. So far it seems the META for Necro XP will be some Low level mobs like Banshees, Ankous or Soulless (an actually obscure monster few people know about), from there you camp Zombie Hands in the POSD until you hit level 70 and from there, you may want to farm either Hermod or Re-Fill your POSD with Bound Skeletons (which are vulnerable to the Amulet Salve e and Undead Slayer Perk + Ability), oh and these guys drop super restores (1) pretty often so you don't have to worry about Prayer Points. Then, from 99 - 120 I'll be doing elite dungeon trilogies, but only if necro is able to do 2 trilogies per hour, otherwise maybe HM Zuk or Raksha, I'd do solak in groups too but unsure atm.
@@dhruvizhere i did not because thats all dependent on your gear and which style you are using, and we dont know exactly how necro is going to handle aoe yet. Using t90 necro power armor with t90 weapons, reavers ring, and split dragontooth neck + Soul Split/vampyrism and Darkness, not using any Overloads, and I am completely safe. Have had a few instances where I hit below 5k health, but its usually pretty brief.
dude please figure out the range setup here to go. I can't in hell survive them with darkness + t92 gear BOLG OR even achto with darkness.... there has to be something??
If youre trying to range these, youd probably want mechanized chinchompas, and a vamp aura. Or youd have to not afk and run a decimation eof or a decimation and keep the spec up the whole time for aoe damage. Still with a vamp aura. You could also try onyx bolts maybe? Those would provide some reasonable sustain I think but would be expensive of course. But honestly, ranging this seems like a bad idea. Without onyx bolts there isnt a ton of sustain options, and youre fighting in the wrong direction on the combat triangle. Another idea, depending on accuracy, you could try using cryptbloom armor. It would make you absurdly tanky, and if you can keep your accuracy up with a high enough tier weapon, potion, and prayer, your damage might still be good enough for afk xp. Just some thoughts though, Ive never tried range there.

the problem is that necromancy seems to be primarily a single target focused skill, so doing damage to multiple enemies won't be amazing but I am sure still just killing one of these things one at a time with the added two known abilities that are actually aoe will make it pretty decent.
Yea it will 100% depend on the aoe potential. The biggest thing is if there is a target cap on the aoe abilities like chain or ricochet. If there isnt a cap, then no matter what, hitting as many enemies as possible with those abilities is what will lead to higher xp rates because you are dealing more damage overall. With the new/old xp system, overall damage per hour will directly correspond to xp per hour.
It would be hilariously slow, but as Maikeru has pointed out, you can wear hybrid gear so its possible you could come here right away, bring a 2h melee weapon and quake for the defense debuff and affinity debuff, and then jump straight to level 10 or something.
