    Hi Deb, I'm starting my master's program this September and I have my hcpc license. How did you get job with private sector as a student? Also what was the pay?
    I'm an international student, how can I get private sector job?

    This is really helpful and truthful as well. I started off with the private and I have no regrets! Some privates are superb. My organization provides lots of trainings and also pays same standard with NHS.

    Hi you mentioned in this video that the reason the private company hired you was they did not need to sponsor your visa. But don't you need a work visa to work in the UK? or you were just doing student placements in a private company? Thanks!

      @deborahdias26  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi, at the time, I was on a student visa, and worked part-time, so it was easy for them to hire me. But when my student visa was about to expire, and I needed a new work visa, they did not sponsor me

    Hi, so if you have 5 years experience from your country, and apply in NHS.
    Is it automatic that your band is band 5?

    • @simonjohn5059
      @simonjohn5059 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should apply for band 6, as Deborah has mentioned in some of her other videos, if you have work experience more than 2 or 3 years, you can and should apply for band 6.

    • @deborahdias26
      @deborahdias26  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To work in the UK you need your HCPC. HCPC is your licencse to work in the UK. Its not an exam, its an online application form.
      And yes, you can work in the UK with your Indian degree

    • @deborahdias26
      @deborahdias26  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can definitely practice in the UK with your DPT.
      You will be able to get PR only after 5 years of being a work visa.
      If you do your masters, these years will not be counted

    Hey debbie i want to be a phyio because it seems in great demand helping a wide audience of young sports people to older people i am also interested in anatomy ect . But i feel like from actually watching videos on day in the life of a physio it just looks like nursing which if that is the case is a big turn off for me because i want to do a job not just for the self rewarding/self fulfilling aspect but also for the respectable job title that physio brings because nursing is a very feminine job. So as a man i dont want to be doing a line of work that is basically very feminine almost nursing esque. Can you give me some insight and let me know if this is the case with physio?

    • @deborahdias26
      @deborahdias26  ปีที่แล้ว

      I hear you (and apologies for the late response). There are many branches of physio. The best fit for you would be outpatients in this case. And if you're into sports, make sure you get into the 'rehab world'. I hope this helps

    What about the salary in private sector???

    • @deborahdias26
      @deborahdias26  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're just starting out in your career, salaries in the private sector can be lower than what is paid in the NHS. It is manageable, but it is lower.
