@@bhavyasriambica7326 Hi :) I would recommend that you prepare specific clinical examples for different typical situations. For example, can you give an example of when you worked well within a team. Can you give an example of when you dealt with a complex situation etc... Good luck!
Great question! The answer is it’s very individual. Normally it’s a minimum of 18 months but really it’s about gaining a braid experience across the core rotations and then when you’re ready applying for a band 6 job. There mustn’t be a rush. Some of the best band 6’s spent longer as a 5 and some that rush it are left with big gaps in their skills/ knowledge.
Thank you for the video, when you said you had all those feelings on your first few weeks of starting your job, did any of those feelings resurface when you rotated on to your next rotation? Also, did you do any additional prep, more than what you would have completed prior to going out on placement? I Start my first rotation next week in community LD and I'm starting to feel a bit nervous as it has all started to feel quite real.
Hi Charlotte, I did a little but nothing like my first one. It helps massively when you know trust and the systems. Honestly it’s not the Physio bit that’s most daunting when you first start. I did very little prep, I used my first week or two to find out what I didn’t know that I needed to know rather than guessing.
Hi mate. Got a question which am hoping you can answer as your a qualified physio. Once qualified I am aware you need to register with the HCPC but do also need to registration with the CSP or is that optional? Thanks
It’s optional but recommended as it acts as your insurance and professional body, there to protect you should something happen. Also a great network and very useful if you get involved.
Hello! Thanks a lot for your detailed sharing! I have applied for my physiotherapy pre-reg degree for this september! May I know if a band 5 rotational physio job is competitive or not? I have heard that it might be quite a competition. I dun mind if I need to relocate, but are there currently sufficient band 5 jobs out there? Thanks :)!
Sound amazing, how exciting. It very much depends. Some trusts are very short staffed and there is overall a recruitment crisis in the NHS so there tends to be lots of jobs at most trusts across the UK.

I never knew b5 jobs would be so competitive, i have been applying for 11 months with no luck
