      @@nadabousseta7514 Hey Nada, just say the first thing that comes to mind...
      1) Providing a person to speak to and vent problems with.
      During covid people have had a build up of their problems with reduced social contact.
      Physiotherapists as primary care providers are well placed to be able to provide mental support by listening and talking with patients.
      2) Physiotherapists have allowed people to become more educated about how they can improve their physical health since during covid their was reduced access to gyms and exercise facilities and physios in particular have a good base of exercise knowledge they can implement as treatment programs for people.
      ..that should be ok I think haha.. just be creative with it and know that there’s no right/wrong answer

      Not relevant to the comment but I was just wondering it is okay to talk about previous experiences during the interview if it isn't on the personal statement as I haven't been able to get work experience this year and want to talk about other achievements but in my statement I wanted to show that I had an understanding of what physiotherapy is about meaning there was not enough space for some personal achievements?

    Hi there, just curious, would being small in size make it harder for a physiotherapist to treat others, lets say someone who has a much bigger build? For your reference, im around 5'1. Thanks :)

    • @masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689
      @masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Kelsey, I can see why you would think that but you’ll be surprised to find how much power you can generate by adopting specific postures and using your body weight.
      Other alternatives are asking for help from an assistant if you were to come across that particular situation.
      Usually though depending on the area of physio you’ll work in it doesn’t matter how big or small you are. ( it does make it easier Ofcourse if you’re stronger/bigger but as is say this can be worked around by changing your technique) .
      Does that help at all ?

    • @masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689
      @masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi , for uni interviews.. I’d say not that likely as they wouldn’t expect you to know since you don’t have any clinical experience.
      If you do get asked a scenario question it’s more likely they are looking at your thought process about how you’ll manage problems.
      1) as long as you’re safe and conscientious of the patients health
      2) ask for help from your senior colleagues weather that’s confirmation on a particular treatment or else.
      3) gain consent from the patient to do any treatment
      You will be OK.
      Good luck

      - the role of a physio
      - skills and qualities of a physio and your personal examples from past exp
      - nhs constitution / values
      - areas of physio
      - getting consent from patients prior to any treatment, making sure you’re safe, asking your senior colleagues for help
      - other team members in the hospital and their roles
      The more informed you are the easier it will be to answer questions.
      As long as you’re keen and show you have done your research, you’ll get an offer from someone . Hope that helps Alexia

    What is pre registration program for physiotherapy international students, can a get a brief about it

    • @masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689
      @masudsaeediphysiotherapy8689  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pre registration as in you have not yet qualified as a physiotherapist yet ‘Pre- Reg’. When you qualify you are registered with the HCPC who are the governing body for health professionals in U.K.. So basically that course is for someone who wants to qualify as a physiotherapist.
      Usually the pre reg courses are a masters lasting 2 years. They are suited to people who have already completed a science related degree but want to qualify as a physio quickly (2years) and not have to do another bachelor degree (3/4 years).
      Hope that made sense. Here is a link to a video where I speak about this in more detail: th-cam.com/video/R6KG0T3dJ1w/w-d-xo.html
