No reasonable person should blame DA for it is ANC that brought itself to its knees. The DA should be blamed if they are demanding to be given certain ministries. They should be allowed to indicate the number of ministries if they know how big the cabinet will be, because that can be calculated. But as to which ministries they get, that should be left to cyril.

The main answer to all the bickering is to amend section 25 to allow state custodianship of the land without compensation.. Then have a state bank to develop local enterpreneurs and give loans for housing to the missing middle. Establish industries in poeples hometowns to curb logitical nightmares. Nonsense. She is saying that they must cater for all the parties in the GNU and that is simply to appear as if they, the ANC, care about everyone and being inclusive. The ANC sat smugly in parliament and ignored valid issues being raised by the opposition. The PA and the smaller parties who she is saying must be included cannot take the ANC over 50% threshold or else they would ditch the DA who continuously hold up the mirror. She is wanting the DA to appear unreasonable and that is to attempt to retain the ANC stronghold prior to the election. The President has one last chance to gain credibility and that is to appoint competent ministers. If he ditches the DA and makes up with the MK he is in effect saying that the ineffective government of the past 10 years is okay and he is fine with it. The President does not have complete control because the NEC is part of the rock and the hard place. I hope that once the Cabinet members are appointed they are given performance contracts and are held to account regularly. The likes of Bathabile Dlamini, Beke Cele, Nomvula Mokonyane and Ace Magashule were not of the right calibre to name a few.

And it is clearer than ever that if they don’t fix the county (that they broke mostly under Zuma and his cronies) then they may be begging other parties for a seat at the table. The truth is that the only party that has delivered on its promises to an extent is the DA. ANC started off well and then corruption and cronyism destroyed the country. The EFF is insane. MK is made up of the corrupt cronies that broke the country in the first place and no one else has any votes of significance other than the IFP in KZN.

Small business owners can't always afford minimum wage (especially not if they opened shop recently), and some people are in dire need of money and might be willing to work for a smaller amount (and I understand that that can be exploited, but in some cases that gives people job opportunities that the employer would otherwise have strived to satisfy by doing the work themself). Minimum wage seems nice on paper, but in our economy it might not be practically feasible, like a lot of the ANC's other policies like the NHI...

The ANC must recognize that their election victory doesn't grant them absolute power. They need to engage in constructive negotiations with the DA, acknowledging the opposition party's demands and conditions.
