Emerson, Lake and Palmer - Living Sin - Bass Cover v.2

BASS BOOSTED!
Bassline as played note-for-note by the legendary Greg Lake of Emerson, Lake & Palmer from the 1972 album 'Trilogy'. LOUDER BASS and some DIFFERENT FINGERINGS are in this Second recording with this Mapleglo RIC bass.
I could not locate a transcription for this bassline so went ahead and worked it out from scratch in two days, and then practiced it for two days.

*****A big thanks to legendary JEFF BERLIN, whose BASS MASTERY sight-reading practice packages I often use to maintain competency at sight-reading standard notation. (Even though I've been reading music for 52 years, it is still important to "practice".)

My bass is a vintage Rickenbacker 4001 bass manufactured in May 1973 with its original pickups.
Neck pickup volume at 10, Bridge pickup volume at 10; (NO PRE-AMP USED or Needed)
Neck pickup tone switch at full and Bridge pickup tone at full.
The strings are DR HI-BEAMS 45 -105 roundwound strings, and the bass is playing through a
Marshall B25 MK II amp settings: Bass 5 o'clock, Mid 2/3 o'clock, Treble 4 o'clock.
My guitar pick is a vintage grey HERCO Heavy gauge nylon pick that I purchased in 1972.

Loved this! Lake sometimes got lost in the mix and it is great to hear this brought out. Have you considered doing Eruption from Tarkus?

Thank YOU! My aim in these various ELP bass videos is to showcase Greg Lake's marvelous -- yet overlooked by many -- basslines and show how his basslines may be performed on a 4 string bass. Oh sure, I've long considered attempting Eruption...now 'that' demands skill to play;-)
