I was recently invited to start "playing" my 40-inch rainstick as a percussion enhancement on the Worship Team in my church. It is so much fun and has added a delightful nuance to the music and stmosphere of our music.
Awesome! I just got the 30 inch one off amazon because i randomly thought i needed a rainstick in my life at midnight the other night. Just got it in the mail and i love it! I came on youtube to see if i could find out whats inside rainsticks and then i see you guys. I was like hey thats the same company, theres a sticker that says African heartwood project on mine. Super cool to randomly see this after getting my stick. Love it too btw. It is nice quality.
I have a rainstick it's made by Meinl I think I think it's a 40" I got it since Nov. 8th, ( my birthday). But anyway I didn't really realize that you can do other things with it like what y'all just did on the video as a demonstration I thought you only just do rain making with them but I didn't know that you can use it as a shaker and others. Cool!! 👍👍👍
These things are so cool. Only found when looking for giggle-sticks and slide whistles Now I'm up several of these things via Amazon - still no giggle-sticks or slide whistles.
Why be sad that he's mute? He's just mute and has learned to live with it, he's likely not sad about it and people shouldn't feel sad either. That goes for any disability.
@@zarconijabroni since watching this video, I ended up making 3 of my own rainsticks. I'm a DIY weekend woodworker. One from red oak, one from a 3 foot piece of bamboo, and one from a simple round cardboard tube mailer. Guess which one sounds the best...the cardboard tube. Which cost me about $3. 99 cents for lentils, $2 for nails and the tube was free from something I had laying around. The red oak was also good, but cost about $40 for the wood. Looks amazing though.
When tipping or rolling the rainstick, the sound was so faint, I couldn't hear anything at all, even when I turned up the volume till the voices were uncomfortably loud. Could only barely hear sound from the 50" stick. The shaker sound was audible, but still very faint.
It can also be interpreted as a sound of many hundreds of scorpion or bug feet of many scorpions who are coming to eat your flesh in the dry desert of Chile

Thank you for this. Really helps show the difference in sizes.
Excellent demo!!! Helped a lot...just what I was looking for. Thanks.
Nice! Good presentation.
Thank you for demonstrating all the different sizes, so helpful in knowing the differences between them. Beautiful music!

LOVE YOU BROTHERS...BEAUTIFUL
That was great!
Sue G. Miller and
Great presentation, but I'm kind of sad that Aaron is mute.
He only speaks rain

I didn't know you could shake them, that is so cool! I was wondering what kind of drum could you pair this with? (this is for beginners)

Question: What is the best length for calypso-music?
30 inch
Where can I get this small rain sticks sir ...???
I found one at a Value Village in my city. I had to search to find out what it was. I love it.
Great job! How does the size matter in the sounds of the rain sticks?
Think like other instruments, bigger the vessel deeper the sound I'm pretty sure. Also maybe more spines in the big ones?
What do you use inside to make the sound? Uncooked rice, BB pellets?
I think they are rocks. The What's Inside? channel made a video about it, you should watch it.

Those cactus rain sticks are technically tubular crotal bells. See www.amazon.com/Faduls-Encyclopedia-Bells-Jose-Fadul/dp/1312601108
Guy on the right looks like Sam Winchester.
I was thinking he looks more Buffalo Bill Cody. Even a little like Wild Bill Hickok 😉
ending sounds and rhytm, have just like snake jazz in rick and morty :D
Do you mean cactus?
Lots of rattlesnakes are rattling

Rainsticks sound like someone frying eggs or something to me
I only come here to see that dude's weird eyes go back and forth.
