You have to put a load on the output before you test, at 1 amp its drops to low to be useful
how long would the load time last? would it be at normal discharge rate, faster,slower?

on the circuit its 104 capacitor you are using 103 and there is one electrotic cap you are using two 1ooo uf caps

That circuit is 100% works but
Instead of using input voltage 3.7 i use a 13.4 volt but the secondary winding are reduce by 10 so it gave a 35v but triple coled and it gave a lot of current and hurt

Use 555 for boost friend..is very powerfull..use air core is more boost voltage and current..👍👍👍
the circuit already oscillates on its own, through feedback, if the transistor bases are piloted. the windings must be completely changed, creating a normal lifter transformer, and no longer a joule thief

hi can you explain to me what is the function of the capacitor (104) in series on the V out?
This capacitor together with 22ohm resistor and diode creates so called "snubber network". Its purpose is to cancel out the high voltage spikes which may destroy the transistor
I have not 22ohm resister can I use 1 k on that side

Pone capacitor ficical it's good,bot ene the diagram squematic not put is on!!!
It's really hard to tell what you soldered to where. I think that you could've done it a little cleaner. A breadboard would've been great, if not, at least moved it around so people can see what parts get soldered to the mosfet.
Thanks for milking the first 3:30 minutes on pulling out and winding the toroidal core. You could've spent the time showing what went where.

I made it but I discovered that the output depends on what load you use...soooo I made it and it gave around 12-18 volts, so me (idiot)wanted to make it more powerful and put 80 windings i instead of 30,it gave me more than 200 volts out so me being a smart one touched the leads of the output capacitor... guess what happened (hint: it really hurt my finger)

You can just touch the arc of the Tesla coil because it is high frequency but don’t touch the boost converter output I am not saying you are An idiot I just say that you are one of those dummy that touch’s high voltage like me touching live ac 120v
