The Oboe for me brings out such emotion when added to any piece of music.
Agreed
No flutes are better 😠😠😠😠😠
Gotta love that Oboe
Thank you from the oboist
i hate the oboe
I didn't realize the rich sound the bassoon makes. I appreciate the dedication and hard work musicians put into playing their instruments.
The history of musical instruments is absolutely fascinating
Kinda weird how the Clarinet is listed before the Oboe when it technically is the deeper instrument of the two (though it can go a tiny bit higher than the Oboe can)
If you try the oboe goes just as high as the clarinet can
Also I think they just wanted to pair double reeds together
Oboe has a pretty large expandable upper range
@@sesh4461 yes it's very painful (I've played up to really high B flat)
That's around 5 ledger lines
@@krysztof6917 Woah that's pretty high, I've never bothered to try above high Eb
@@sesh4461 it took a lot of work and a good reed away from me 😭
Very expressive instruments.
Flute 0:02
Clarinet 0:38
Oboe 1:18
Bassoon 1:50
Flute sounds like pure sine wave, Oboe sounds like sawtooth.
thanks, was really great to hear those examples
the only one that was a bit off with the rest is take five for bassoon, I think you can hear when classical musicians play jazz)
flute sound gorgeous
Clarinet was really really popular in the 70s. Just like everyone took clarinet lessons. I did not take the clarinet. I was pretty good at Fluto-phone, however
Excelentes interpretaciones de todos los músicos!!!
I have a feeling that a bassoon is in the flute family
Take 5 with bassoons, how cool is that!!
I used to think the oboe was just a funny wah wah instrument but I was just really bad at playing it
Very good
Groovy
Amazing!
Wow the flute playing reminded me of La Corda d' oro Primo Passo.
That anime made me joined the High school marching band a long ago LOL
at 1:48 take five on the bassoon well played...
Bruh the sax is a woodwind
Yeah
Perhaps, they only highlight the underrated woodwinds.
bruh moment
but bagpipes and voice are also woodwinds
@@Jwellsuhhuh maybe they were only covering woodwinds found traditionally in classical symphonies
Wie geil ist bitte die bassflöte
Very awesome!
Where can i find a cd or other with more only woodwind music being played like 1:50 and 2:31 ?
You and me both bro!
That sounded so good considering there was no other kind of instrument.
Swan Lake has a beautiful oboe solo, and Dvorak's New World Symphony has a lovely English horn solo
thank you i was trying to find the different flute thingys for so long
When you say “flute thingys”, do you mean _woodwinds,_ the name of this family of instruments? Or are you talking about parts of the _flute_ specifically?
I’m genuinely asking in case I could help with something (although, I admittedly don’t know much about woodwinds-I’ve never played a woodwind instrument).
Tosselli tocando la flauta
Bassoon solo
i dont know what to pick for middle school
Tell brain: Metal flute is a woodwind! 😮
It used to be made of wood but now it's typically brass
omg shek ali mustafoy
Clarinet and flute have almost the same sound.
What’s the name the Oboe song?
It’s « Gabriel’s Oboe » !
You forgot the piccolo, english horn, bass clarinet, and contrabassoon
Maybe they ran out of time and had someone to
and sax
@@drsteventnt595 oh yeah. That’s right. All of the saxophones
include those and the other 50 woodwind variations, we will have a 5 hour long video
@@Jwellsuhhuh I honestly wouldn’t mind if it were longer
Breathing is for chumps
No recorder :(
Gurl get out of 2nd grade
@@Oboesshouldnotexistflutesarebe It's more like you're stuck in 2nd grade if you think it's just a grade school instrument
So...no saxophone?
Los cuartetos de viento tradicionales se componen de esos intrumentos.
Where’s the French Horn?
Not woodwind
AH.. You forgot the saxophone
Maybe they ran out of time and had someone to do.
Didn’t match the vibe
E
Clarinet is definitely the easiest
yeah i gotta disagree with that
heavy disagree lol
*fingering intensifies*
*reed positioning intensifies*
flute is the easiest
@@sophia-ol1jj you try playing the flute 😡 the clarinet is easy and the oboe is just ugly basson did nothing
It really varies person to person, some people may find an oboe more difficult and some may find a clarinet more difficult
As soon as I heard the orchestra along with the clarinet I stopped the video. Look, if you want to make a comparison video, then how about using *similar examples* instead of [Person on their own in a clear listening environment] followed by [Orchestra - Focused on one instrument]. They're not useful comparisons for why I came here.
