Not sure if the comments mention it: Libromancer Fire being Cyberse let's you go into the Cyberse line with Link Devotee. You can make Cyberse witch, allowing you to then add Cynet Ritual + their lv 3 or lv 7 ritual while still going through the normal line
Can you explain how fire can make disciple into devotee. I get that you can link off libro fire into disciple. What I don't get is what you're using to make devotee?

Dont want to run the lvl 3 ritual. No problem. You instead search out agent. Summon agent. Add back fire. Normal summon fire as this deck don't need the normal summon. And make devotee. I like this path better as it leaves you with 2 more monsters on board (geekboy and agent) for more link plays. You can instead play cyberse gadget as you normal summon and just use fire as extender. But adding cards dilutes the deck from pure.
Funnily enough, this deck is the reason I finally started playing the Invoked engine. Especially amazing when you can get a ritual and a fusion under Cross Sheep.
Someone explained that magical something is a reference to tabletop RPGs where a character comes across an item of unknown origin simply referred to as "something." I was surprised it had context at all.
Remember when you either made links or didn't have any extra plays to make? Me neither. Pendulums? What are you talking about? They can only summon pendulum monsters from hand, the ones on the extra are made to proc effects or because they're too cool to go to the graveyard.

Ritual Archtypes are like a high school comedy club. A few member have what it takes to make it to the big leagues, but the rest flop so hard it's embarrassing and sad to see.
I will give konami credit on a couple things on this archetype: They actually gave a ritual archetype actual good traps. I really would recommend the new trap that takes control of your opponents monster. Deck pluses very well once it gets going, which is good for a ritual archetype. Unfortunately, its ritual monster pay-off isn't that great so it needs better ritual monsters besides doom.
If u establish the level 4 magigirl(who also summons herself out) then u could play the other ritual monster that Libromancer has as a quick effect monster negate. Honestly if the deck had a foolish + reborn type of monster or spell card then it could really go places.
@@CaliburXL99 That's not useful since it's only technically a quick effect negate. If your opponent attempts to use a monster effect, you cannot react with Magigirl because Mystigirl will not be able to apply her negate on summon until the chain resolves. Mystigirl is honestly one of the worst modern negates I've seen in a long time.

Fun fact: Amorphages had Libromancer's gimmick of Field Spells for Ritual Summons way back in 2016, except Amorphactor Pain was dogshit in Amorphages specifically because it was NOT an Amorphage monster despite being an intended part of the archetype
As much as I was crossing my fingers to see you get that best of three, my man evil Longyuan has been overshadowed for too long by Baronne so it was pretty satisfying to see it steal a game
I personally enjoy the Dogmatika variant. Gives you easier access to Cross Sheep to dig for resources and allows you to run Punishment for more interruptions with N'tss and Fossil Warrior. As a personal touch i run the 2 Dogmatika rituals because Extra Deck sniping sounds really really funny to me

Liberomancer Mystigirl actually reads “your opponent can’t target ritual monsters you control with monster effects”, as in any ritual monster you control, not specifically itself.
Honestly this deck feels good without just playing the bare minimum. Libromancer is a very good poke over boards which was never brought up. Even against good board I've been able to resolve the bounce. Magigirl can keep Mystigirl on board so running one copy isn't bad and overall the deck can do more then 1 play consistently. The P.U.N.K line lets you add Geek Boy with the new card JAM Dragon Drive and since it doesn't use a normal Ze Amin and Foxy tune let you go directly to JAM Dragon and Amazing dragon, set up Gabu and still go all the way into Doombroker and Mystigirl. Fireburster can get pretty big and with Mystigirl even Firestarted can be really hard for your opponent to just attack over since it keeps getting bigger. Personally I play a branded engine. Mystigirl can be used for Albion and get you Mirrorjade and then you can end on Doombroker + Mystigirl + Mirrorjade with an intervention and displacement set. The branded engine and Libromancer with a bigger package can grind like no ones business, letting it pull through against some Eldlich boards and some other meta decks if you know the lines you can follow. Other people in the comments have mentioned the cyberse line which is a very cool extension that doesn't interrupt other somewhat strong end boards. Better versions of the deck I feel would have pulled longer games against SS (which is already a snore to fight against anyway). I think Libromancer can pull rogue even without having 17 meta staples that everyone and their mom just slaps in rituals cuz everyone likes to call them good.
I love the art and the concept reminds me of Persona, but the cards are so underwhelming that is sad. They really lack ritual monsters that are actually worth playing them.

This deck looks like it invites Zaborg the Mega Monarch. So many free light summons, Herald/Pegasus for extension and pop, and eating into your opponent's extra deck just sounds free.
in my 60-card build I play 60 cards with 15 handtraps (ash, veiled, imperm, mourner, droll), the adventure engine, the UDF engine and cynet mining to search FIRE alongside e-tely for geek boy. The UDF engine specifically is really easy to make with geek boy and any of the handtraps off Halqi. The end board is the Adventure board, UDF, Doombroaker into intervention, Halq, and Artifact Dagda into the Scythe lock (either halq and dagda into the scythe lock or masquarena and the adventure into knightmare unicorn, cause to make Halq and artifact dagda I need the zone of the adventure token, but the adventure engine is just really good not to play)
Currently I guess its ceiling is that it can pretty easily dpe scythe lock while having intervention as backup That does deal with any one interaction they may have on standby But any combination of imperm bell and forbidden droplets stops that What it CAN do though is do both halqdon AND get DPE and still use the field spell to get their boss monster out So you're looking at, very possibly, dpe scythe + baronne + herald + intervention 3 negates and a scythe lock... Should be enough of a ceiling Alas this means running 5 bricks which I think this deck can survive doing Side deck of dark rulers, sphere mode, and such makes the deck able to do stupid stuff going second Unfortunately most pretty competent and consistent decks that don't lock you (surprisingly few in amount-) can do this This just does it with an extra trap negate on top and a lot of special summoning

Why not add Fireburster and Interruption to the deck? Just need one copy of each in deck and while not as good as Doombroker or Intervention, they have their own niche and don’t really take up many slots. A brute force finisher and an option to prevent a boss from coming out are pretty good

Libromancer needs like 2 more rituals in archetype, that actually do something. Than probably just another main deck support card, or even a Link 2 or 3 monster that acts as a negate,or minor floodgate. Hell if we want to get fancy make the link get a powerful effect if it was made with a ritual Monster.
You're asking for trouble tbh.... If Komoney made that floodgate Link monster generic (ala DPE, Verte and Halq) there's no one you can blame except yourself....
@@Magikey I try to go Slayer to to link or Tzolkin with Diviner then search a Benten off Battlelord to get Kristya. The Libros end up serving as a way to protect from stuff like Dark Ruler or just bait.
It means that the mechanic was poorly designed and couldn't keep up with the changing times as it was. I mean, think about it, you have to have both a *SPECIFIC* ritual spell and the *SPECIFIC* corresponding ritual monster in your hand, as well as extra monsters in your hand and/or field to use as tribute. It's too much set-up and that's at least 3 cards (sometimes 4 cards because most ritual monsters were high level and needed around 2 monsters to tribute) 3 cards going form your hand/field to the graveyard for 1 ritual monster that can be destroyed like any other monster in the game. It's no wonder no one played them, so the ritual mechanic had to go through some gimmicky changes in some archetypes to stay relevant. But if you look at it from a broader scope, all summoning mechanics have archetypes that break the rules of that mechanic. Zoodiacs, Utopias and the rank 12 Divine Zeus monster Xyz summon on top of each other. Ursarctic synchro summon by subtracting levels instead of adding them. Some fusion archetypes summon by simply sending the materials from the field to the graveyard without using polymerization, like the E-Hero Neos archetype, or ABCs using Dragon Buster and also Thunder Dragons. Tri-Brigade can link summon by banishing materials from the grave. And I'm sure there's lots more I missed too. Sometimes breaking the mechanics of an old and predictable summoning mechanic can be good and makes you experience it in a brand new way that's more enjoyable. Anyway, I didn't mean to write all this out lol oh well.

Megalith technically has a ritual spell that’s a quick play, and I’m sure at some point Libromancer will also get a functional ritual spell.
They have one actually searchable with pre prep which surprised me to not see but I guess it's more than consistent enough

Why not add Fireburster and Interruption to the deck? Just need one copy of each in deck and while not as good as Doombroker or Intervention, they have their own niche and don’t really take up many slots. A brute force finisher and an option to prevent a boss from coming out are pretty good

Libromancer needs like 2 more rituals in archetype, that actually do something. Than probably just another main deck support card, or even a Link 2 or 3 monster that acts as a negate,or minor floodgate.
Hell if we want to get fancy make the link get a powerful effect if it was made with a ritual Monster.
You're asking for trouble tbh.... If Komoney made that floodgate Link monster generic (ala DPE, Verte and Halq) there's no one you can blame except yourself....

@@Magikey I try to go Slayer to to link or Tzolkin with Diviner then search a Benten off Battlelord to get Kristya. The Libros end up serving as a way to protect from stuff like Dark Ruler or just bait.
What does it say that the only way to make rituals playable is to basically create archetypes that ignore the actual original ritual summon mechanics?
It means that the mechanic was poorly designed and couldn't keep up with the changing times as it was. I mean, think about it, you have to have both a *SPECIFIC* ritual spell and the *SPECIFIC* corresponding ritual monster in your hand, as well as extra monsters in your hand and/or field to use as tribute. It's too much set-up and that's at least 3 cards (sometimes 4 cards because most ritual monsters were high level and needed around 2 monsters to tribute) 3 cards going form your hand/field to the graveyard for 1 ritual monster that can be destroyed like any other monster in the game. It's no wonder no one played them, so the ritual mechanic had to go through some gimmicky changes in some archetypes to stay relevant.
But if you look at it from a broader scope, all summoning mechanics have archetypes that break the rules of that mechanic. Zoodiacs, Utopias and the rank 12 Divine Zeus monster Xyz summon on top of each other. Ursarctic synchro summon by subtracting levels instead of adding them. Some fusion archetypes summon by simply sending the materials from the field to the graveyard without using polymerization, like the E-Hero Neos archetype, or ABCs using Dragon Buster and also Thunder Dragons. Tri-Brigade can link summon by banishing materials from the grave. And I'm sure there's lots more I missed too.
Sometimes breaking the mechanics of an old and predictable summoning mechanic can be good and makes you experience it in a brand new way that's more enjoyable. Anyway, I didn't mean to write all this out lol oh well.
