I was expecting Jillian to have tin foil on the side of her face, but her just being the Hyper Librarian was simultaneously a BIG swerve and the most adorable thing I've seen in a YuGiOh video XD
I was going to comment on how it's weird Screw Serpent says "increase or reduce" instead of "increase or decrease" but upon doing much more research than this warrants I've found, unsurprisingly, yugioh is inconsistent. There's 14 instances of "increase or decrease" but only 4 who say reduce, those being Nekroz Ariel, Fortune Lady Past, Passinglider and Screw serpent. It looks like reduce is commonly used when the effect only involves going down (e.g. Mare Mare) while decrease is generally used involving an option (e.g. Agnimal Candle) or old attack modification (Star boy says increase/decrease where Mistarboy says gain/lose). If the card is worded in a way where it has bullet point options (e.g. Accel Synchron) then one uses "increase" and the other uses "reduce"... except for Egotistical Ape. There are exceptions to all of these because Konami doesn't care about two words that are effectively synonymous. I feel like I exited a fugue state and with that written, I have no clue why I went down this rabbit hole but I'm glad you've followed this journey with me.
I am genuinely surprised there isn't some resolution altering corner case for when decrease or reduce is used. Like decreases are removed when their source no longer applies but reduce means the decrease is permanent or something.

@@__-be1gk Accel Synchro Summoning pretty much. Was so badass in the anime. On top of that back in the day making Quasar was fun too. It will always be an archetype I absolutely love and will always own a deck of and have full playsets of each card.
Any deck that plays level 4 or lower Warriors can tech in a Fire Flint Lady to special them out with targeting protection. Could be decent in decks that can use Armageddon Knight or one of the Visas clones as their starters.
@@king_acceler8755 If a deck likes bodies or can use Jet Synchron effectively can use the engine. It's not a one size fits all type deal, but the engine is splashable in more decks than just fire decks.
Just bought a box of agov today to see if i could get an S:P Little Night after being not getting one at YCS Indy. My 2 secrets were both T.G. cards, not even QCR, and now MBT releases this TMT just to torment me.
OCG AGOV has S:P Little Knight at a super rare base rarity with secret and QCR variants. More than a 50% chance to pull her in an OCG box, it's like a 25-33% chance in a TCG box. Don't even bother with Snake-Eye or Horus, going from mostly commons and rares with some super and ultra rare bosses to everything being super rare or higher, killing any chance to get a nice core of the archetypes and putting a little extra money to fill out the rest of the archetype in the TCG.

@@Linkiscool115 only set that is worth buying to get cards was Soul Burning Volcano. Only issue with it is the niche archetypes supported. Otherwise, it's a pretty good set, 3 archetypes with a decent spread in the rarity for them so one isn't locked into high rarity like VS was. The only questionable card in the set was Volcanic Eruption which got an errata stating that it's not a Volcanic card.

I don't mean to burst a bubble here but you can just make the calamity dragon without crimson dragon. Just an fyi you make the synchro 2 make the synchro 5 dragon and synchro 5 tuner which adds a card back and special summons. This results in crimson regardless of if they have imperm. It is very funny. Plus it gives you a turn two letting you Otk through a set. As long as you don't see ash or droll you should be fine. As most players will be rather dumb and pop nib too soon. And if you don't feel safe from nib you can always just set up trident.
i think you make calamity with crimson so that you can make calamity on your oponents turn, thereby locking the opponent out of card effect for their turn.
@dj_izaco8435 Dragnaur is a dark dragon. You can make it on quick synch without the need for crimson dragon as well. You only use Crimson dragon if all clear is up on field/ you want Glaive banish as a backup
Iirc TG can use either Wonder Magician or Star Guardian as the other synchro tuner. The play i usually see is mighty striker, star guardian/wonder magician + over dragunar.
I saw some combo fan deck who just have a purer TG extra deck and is cool to see the new synchro can reset halberd effect (as it is not HOPT) to essentially get 2 negate on monster summon. Granted you do need to highroll to get both synchro 12 on the field in turn 1, but is fun to see that happen especially you can restart the full combo on next turn if they wipe your board. Sadly the calamity lock is probably better even though it is super boring
There's a joke that 10 fairly decent Fusion archetypes are fighting to be the side-engine to Branded. I get that same impression with Synchro spam decks all trying to be Junk Speeder into Quasar spam. Incredibly linear, lose to handtraps and don't do anything going second or not opening good.
IMO, while TG now has a lot more gas and extending abilities even without using Launcher with the AGOV support (while still gets screwed by Ash Blossom in the process), the in archetype boss department is still a little bit lacking, especially the TG SS locks after setting up with Dragnar or Launcher. Despite it’s unlikely for TG to get new Synchro boss monsters, it’s still my fave archetype nonetheless.
Okay Game 1 vs R-Ace player should've tried to run over everything before committing to the 2nd hydrant, pro tip always read every card that your opponent has added and or is on the field currently before making a make or break commit so you know if you need to clear stuff if possible.
I love T.G. but i think this video captures the exact issue with this deck. It is a one-trick pony going first that can pretty easily have the entire turn skipped to 1 hand trap a lot of the times, and when all is said and done it's just a weaker Mannadium or Adventure Synchro deck. At least in Adventure Synchro you have the option of playing Accel Synchro Stardust Dragon to protect your Junk Speed play to cover the major choke point. As far as Calamity lock goes, this deck does it in Main Phase which is also vulnerable to Kaiju style monster on either of the 3 Synchros, and I don't even know what kind of good board you can set up (i guess a Quasar style level 12 for just a single negate) if Calamity eventually gets banned. Going second the deck really doesn't have any identity at breaking boards outside of Glaive Blaster, but if you are able to get to Synchro 12 the opponent's board was probably very weak to begin with. I have all the pieces to this deck, but definitely am reluctant to build it because it doesn't seem to have a unique identity to it (compared to something like maybe Galaxies where you can set up a unique board going first and have unique OTK capability using in-engine going second)
One of the decks best searchers be a synchro is so weird to me. Like it feels like by the time you make mighty fighter the cards you'd want to search wouldn't be necessary.

Diabellestar and Sinful spoils really is the new Adventure engine. Slap that shit into most decks for an easy search that gets you a free body.
