@@arkadarkartist Except for game 2 of Relinquish vs Chain Burn nothing he did made any difference in any match. @@GRtogetaBICI think it's correct not to play arround heavy storm with chain burn, except with maybe the battle traps. Not activating the wave motion cannon in the last game did make the difference
Hey guys, random 46 year old Christian here. Every Christmas Eve my oarents would order Chinese for Christmas Eve (I was always a Shrimp and Lobster Sauce child before embracing the joy of General Tso's Chicken as an adult) and it warms my non-beating heart to see such traditions transcend race and religions. Happy whatever to MBT, Farfa and the rest of the comment section!
For season two, i’d love to see jank concepts like burn, exodus, etc. update with modern cards. Idk if it’s even possible, but then we would be cool to see updated versions of concepts
Unfortunate misplay from Farfa on chainburn. He dies to heavy 99.9% of the time, there's hardly a reason to play around it since hand destuction might just get heavy storm anyway so it's better to play around destruction instead. There's a chance the wave motion might not have been enough anyway though. I see Farfa's line of thinking, just a slight miscalculation.
I don't think that logic holds up. Playing into Heavy is almost a guaranteed loss if MBT finds it, but playing into Card Destruction isn't. At worst it just trades some burn/stall cards for some other ones. Unless it draws MBT into Heavy, in which case he loses anyway. But even then, he'd be in a better position playing into Destruction because he'd at least be left with more cards in hand. But either way, it's playing around a one-of, and Heavy was the one that was on his radar.
@TheLetterJ0 I guess I see ot differently since I'm calculating against odds. There's an equal chance he opens either heavy or Card Destruction but Card Destruction makes getting heavy more likely. If he makes the play that loses to Card Destruction, it is also more likely he'll draw into heavy any way. It's better to make the play that loses to 1 one of card than a play that loses to 2 1 of cards. What could he do with 1 WMC in hand any way if he gets heavy'd any. You lose instantly either way, you just have to take the gamble with the biggest payout.
@@TheLetterJ0 Play all you can: - If they heavy you lose your battle tools but hand doesn't do shit (you lose cards that you didn't care of setting so it's just a cycle for you, actually help). Play around heavy: - If they heavy you still lose your battle tools but hand destroy all the burn you have in hand delaying your wincon. So playing around heavy is worse for your wincon.

Re: getting angry at someone during a duel - I usually don't, but there was a huge exception for one deck that was just the most toxic nonsense I've ever faced down. It was running Skill Drain, Lair of Darkness, and just a ton of monsters that Tribute as a cost. So I couldn't do anything because the instant any monster hit the field, they'd immediately tribute it. Sometimes to SS a monster from their GY, but often to do absolutely nothing, since their monster effects were negated. Plus they'd already used Beat Cop from the Underworld to protect Skill Drain from destruction.
@@LemonAide132 it was Master Duel, so there was no game 2. So no, I wasn't able to side and beat them. But on the bright side, I never had to play against that deck again! You know I've been wondering, why aren't these decks all updated with modern equivalent cards? Don't change what the deck does, just give them newer options. Especially for ones that rely on now errata'd effects that fundamentally change how the deck plays (like Farfa mentioned).
They're (theoretically) playing historic formats (md limitations), but I would like to see a sequel series that shows the modern evolutions of these decks
I think it makes sense to keep the decks how they were played originally at this point, even if it is unfortunate for errata'd cards. But that does feel like a fairer way to do the free for all rounds.
