Backhand attack with front side of the racket , I think, is more stabilized like ex korea player Kim Taek Soo, but on the
other hand, the attack with reverse side of the racket makes easier to transfer alternately between forehand and back
hand like Wang Hao. On this point of view, this instructional video is very useful to me.
For aged player like me who can't make footwork like Xu Xin physically, stroke with little shift or just adjustment of center of gravity is very efficient
Thank you very much for uploading.

+lastpokemon I think learning the motion - being able to return the ball.
And mastering it - being able to place the ball wherever you want with whatever spin you want with a close to 100% success rate. Are two diferent things.
Also being able to counter whatever spin you recieve, including long pimples. etcetcetc.
Mastering is a pretty advanced word. and I hardly doubt your success rate is 100%.

for the above list of skills you could see me or anyone who can master these skills forhand or backhand shakehand or penhold in the top rank of TT players, I'm talking about some one who plays TT in weekend as hobby, I pretty learnt it in less than a week and I'm doing very well to amusement of my TT mates.
